This resturaunt is PERFECT to go with your friends to. We had a blast dancing to the live music and enjoying our 10/10 meals. The tacos are delectable and have that authentic mexican taste. The music is definitely loud so I wouldn't recommend this for a first date. But the volume is more of a pro than a con because it makes the vibes so upbeat & fun! read more

This place was a hoot! If you are looking for a quiet evening out, this is not the place for you. You have been warned. However, this place has a vibe all its own. This is THE SPOT to have a birthday party. Every time a celebration came out it was reminiscent of a bottle service experience. They had a live DJ, a tequila cart, and even space to dance! Besides the fun atmosphere, the food here was phenomenal. Everything we ordered was so good, I was in shock over how great this experience was. A host told me they only take reservations, but another host told my mom we can be seated in 30 minutes. Not a good look -- and they charge a 4% sur charge, but Marco was our server and provided good customer service. The restaurant was beautiful. They had a mariachi band, and I heard this place turns into a nightclub on certain nights. The food is average but the pan de elote was the best item we ordered. The paloma tasted like water - the spicy soltera was better but not worth the price. The food arrived at room temperature. We had the filete zarandeado, the seabass was fishy but decent. The enchiladas suizas was average and the arrachera was satisfying. read more

Something that i have to give them a 10 it's for the deco as a customer i really love the visual aspect of the restaurant. I also want to add that the staff was very helpful and nice,but the bad things about this place is definitely that is very overpriced and they don't have good food, the taste was bad, food was dry and no tasty; we ordered different things like a ceviche, tacos, salads and fajitas and everything was tasting simple, not flavored also they didn't advised me when I call to check on the hours that they would change their menu that week when I asked the person who answered that my intention was going for brunch. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! They will rob you blind! Waiter Daisy "miss placed" our cash that was part of our bill. Said that they were going to look at cameras and when the manager comes out still says that the house is going to take care of the missing portion.Seriously so unprofessional. Food was good !! Drinks were good !!!! I wouldn't say anything was great. I had the tacos gobernador, hubby had the enchiladas suizas and my son had a burger ‍. As an appetizer we had the tuna and mango tower and the oysters. Those we real good. The main dishes were sub par. The main thing at this place is ambience! The restaurant is really pretty and music was fun. Perhaps I'm comparing the prices to the quality you get at Javier's which is far from quality here ! Ay Mi Pa is a great restaurant to come celebrate any occasion. The ambiance feels great, nice aesthetic, & clean. I thought it was neat that there was a Sax player that played from time to time. I recommend you reserve in advance to make sure you get to experience the place. There is a live DJ & loved that the music wasn't blasting to the point you can't have a conversation, it was the perfect volume. It was a group of & of us and we ordered similar things. We had red aguachiles & aguachile negro. If you love spicy, I highly recommend aguachile negro. It was perfect. The aguachile Rojo I recommend for those who don't really like spice. We also had ribeye tacos which were delicious. Overall everyone loved their food. It was tasteful. We had a sangria flight, it was good, every drink was unique. I really loved the guava sangria. The service was beyond great. The place was busy & our waiter accommodated us & kept checking in on us. Very kind & attentive. We appreciate that. The cool thing that makes this place a different experience is the celebration options they have, such as a birthday shoutout with package options to choose from. The food was very delicious, I chose from the brunch menu. Chilaquiles Verdes with Arrachera steak. Came here on a Sunday for my friends birthday without reservation and we were seated & received service quickly. Our waitress was so friendly and brought a good energy. I ordered a smash burger which was really good, just wish it had more sauce in it. For my drink, I ordered a Margarita which was good just a little bit strong for me. Was here Friday evening for happy hour after a long day of residency so this was the perfect vibe with perfect options. Super cute spot, feels like you're somewhere in Mexico. The margarita flight is definitely the go to for drinks but there's plenty of other drinks to choose from if you're scared of because of that one time in college that you can't forget. So many good food options and happy hour has really good prices so if you're on a budget, you can still eat and drink like you're not. Oh, and there's dancing and a dj after 7pm but I didn't bring my dancing shoes so I was out of there by 7:15. It also started to get pretty busy when I left. Husband and I frequent this place often but in the morning time , we got a tomahawk steak back in February and the presentation was so cool that I decided to take my father in law for his birthday to get one , well we ended up getting a reservation at 7pm... we got seated an hour later in front of the dj booth. Music was unnecessarily loud, waitress was chomping on her gum the entire time she was trying to get our order , when it finally came out , no presentation , just cold steak on a plate . Super disappointed. I still love this place so if loud music isn't your thing , do yourself a favor and go during the day . Unfortunately, this establishment treats their employees poorly. I overheard managers speaking very negatively about staff, which was uncomfortable and disappointing to witness. On top of that, the food was subpar and did not justify the price or the experience. Overall, it left a bad impression, and I wouldn't return. read more

Came to SipNPaint night and Daisy gave us the BEST service! Always checked on us, brought food and drinks and never stopped asking if we needed anything. The food was also good. We had the Shrimp Empanadas and the Rib Eye chicharron. I had a Mocktail Passionfruit mojito and my friend had the Paloma. The music was just loud enough so we were still able to conversate. I had my birthday dinner here & It was such a blast! I love that I was able to request a specific area in the restaurant, I had to place a deposit down which was understandable due to my group size being 20 adults. I had rib eye tacos & shrimp empanadas! Now the decor wow i literally felt like I was in tulum! I loved everything from the music to the saxophone player & the servers we had were very accommodating. Went here for the first time for brunch and the food was ok. My friend got the chilaquiles with steak and I got the steak and eggs and it was basically the same thing but mine was more expensive and it didn't come with beans. Food came out fast but our server was a little slow. When I asked for the check, I noticed that he added 18% tip and a 4%suecharge. Fun environment! Pretty bomb steaks but not a fan of much else. This review is based off of 2 visits Food: 4 stars. Very pricey which I don't mind spending if your food melts in my mouth. I feel like I can cook some of these dishes at home. Steak I would give a 5 I thoroughly enjoyed my filet mignon and rib eye. The veggies were veggies and the mashed potato is inconsistent. Is it supposed to be creamy or lumpy? Enchiladas I would give a 4 because some people make some fire enchiladas at home that I've enjoyed more but these were still tasty. I can see myself still craving it in the future. Sushi 4. Definitely nice to have a sushi option but I don't think I'll ever get it from here again. It wasn't terrible but just if I want sushi I should just go get sushi. Shareable weren't too bad but my fav was the tare tare Drinks: I actually hated all the drinks including my agua fresca lol I'm not a drinker but I've sipped on all. It was pretty disappointing. I like mine sweet and I know a bunch of my friends I went with drink often like spicy. No one enjoyed their drinks despite almost ordering all of them. No one could find one they liked. Maybe an off night? Service: 4.5 stars. Everyone has been so nice so far. Waitresses, host and helpers all around. Ive seen people get more hyper and the staff seem to be able to feed off their vibe and still have fun. The .5 comes from speed. I used to be a waitress and I think they could've checked in a little bit more. I came during rush and no rush and I can say same for both Ambiance 5 stars. For sure a fun environment! Can get hype and can be chill. I thoroughly enjoyed the DJ! I love that you can get up and dance if you like. I would have given it 5 stars but I need to go back to try the food lol We went for a friends bday to have drinks and dance. I was worried once they told us they didn't have a dance floor BUT!!! We made our own and it was encouraged by staff by the end of the night we had so many other tables dancing with us. There is a two hour max. Just FYI The service was great no complaints. Drinks.. I thought they were going to be weak and overpriced BUT we got several margarita flights and they were soooo good and strong! Lol The shots sold by the cart guy walking around are expensive tho and not worth it tbh. Overall, it was a great experience for our first time! Came here last month for a girls night & was not disappointed. I looked at reviews beforehand (per usual) & was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The decor is very instagrammable & many are dressed to impress. David, our server, was so attentive and so nice! My friends secretly ordered a package so they can come out with sparklers, a sign that read "wife to be" & dessert boat to celebrate my recent engagement- I was definitely surprised. The DJ was playing all the 2000s jams (which I appreciate!). The music got a little louder as the night progressed so it became difficult to have a conversation. My friend across from us couldn't hear me. I ordered a drink called "Vamos pa la playa" with mango & for my entree I ordered the enchiladas suizas. They were okay. Unfortunately, the food just didn't match the atmosphere. The crab cakes were decent, about a 6/10. You get two larger cakes, but they were a little bland on their own. The jalapeño aioli carried most of the flavor, but even as someone who loves spice, it leaned overly spicy. The wedge salad was surprisingly disappointing. The lettuce wasn't very crisp, and they added ham on top of the bacon, which felt unnecessary and honestly gave the dish a cheaper feel. We ended up removing the ham altogether. The fish tacos had nicely cooked fish, but again, lacked seasoning. They also came with more jalapeño aioli, and the portions felt awkward. The fish pieces were huge compared to the tiny tortillas, so eating them turned into a full taco explosion situation. The biggest letdown was the chimichurri sea bass. For a $52 entrée, we expected much better. The fish came out completely overcooked and dense like a brick, which was extra disappointing because the chimichurri sauce and mashed potatoes were actually delicious. On the bright side, the drinks were fantastic. Refreshing, flavorful, and probably the highlight of the meal. Service at the bar was also great across the board. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the night. This place truly has so much potential because the ambiance and service are already there. We really wanted to love the food as much as we loved the vibe, but unfortunately it just didn't wow us this time around.
