So I will note my review is no on their exact establishment as I have yet visit them in Griffith, IN, but they have been out to the St. John Farmers Market, typically every Sunday if the weather is good.
Because I am high risk to Covid, per my health, time to time my Lady will bring me something home, after she visits them at the Farmers Market.
so because I give the rating I do now, I might change my update later depending on my experiences.
So far I have tried the following and have had a good experience so far:
Elote In A Cup / Corn In A Cup:
So from what I was told, they do not pre-make this item, they make it upon each order so it stays fresh and does not spoil. Everything tastes good and fresh, the way an elote in a cup (corn in cup) should taste.
Walking Tacos:
The way they do it, is they will take a bag of Frito and basically put ground beef, lettue, tomato, the Mexican cheese, I think Queso Chihuahua if not that a similar brand of cheese, and basically they are usually basic ingredients of a taco and putting into this Frito bag and making walking taco.
In my opinion, it is not bad. I liked it, but I would prefer a different type of snack chips like chili cheese Frito or something, but that is just me. It had flavor I will give them that.
Chicken Tamales:
So far every time my lady has been at the market, she has picked up either half a dozen or a dozen of their tamales. I can say I do love how they do their recipe for these.
Pork Tacos:
So typically when I have a taco depending on how the taco is made, I sometime prefer cord tortillas over flour, just my preference, very seldom do I use flour when I make home made tacos.
Typically when you eat a taco, you use one or two hands depending on the person. But my taco when I opened it was soggy sadly, not the sellers fault, just how I got my taco when it arrived to me as it was marinating in the sauce they use to put on the taco.
Also my Pork Meat was not tender enough, typically I like pulled or shredded pork in my taco, as this was cubed cut not what I use too with tacos, was on flour not corn tortilla as they ran out.
So I technically ate my taco with a fork and picked around it, rather than enjoy it the way I should have.
So I can not give an overall true opinion on my taco as I did not eat it like a normal taco, I will say I liked the red sauce that was on it, there was flavor, was not too spicy, but was ok in my opinion, just with the mean was bit more tender, that way I may have given a better review of maybe 5 stars rather than 4.
Overall even though my lady was there I was not, I am told their customer service is awesome, if there is a question they answer the best they can, and they are very nice with each customer. Over all I will give them another try.
Sorry I do not have photos to share for this time around. read more
