You must get the guacamole if you come here. We visited for dinner during the week and while the restaurant was busy we were seated right away. The waitress however appeared overwhelmed with half of the restaurants tables. She made a mistake with our drink order but immediately corrected it. The guacamole was the favorite of the table. This place is amazing! It's cute in there, and overall a nice atmosphere. The food came out fast and hot, and the server was very nice. I ordered the Nachos Con Carne because I panicked a little, but I was happy. My brother got a Steak Torta and absolutely devoured it. Amazing find! Passed on the way to St. John's and saw this location. On the way home stopped for dinner and the food is better than some established places in Pilsen, Little Village or Chicago. I don't leave reviews but this deserves it. Staff was friendly and the ambiance great. We had the Tampiquena, camarones a la diabla, taco platter and guacamole-all were superb. Also had the Paloma drink and was very good. It's a 40 minute drive from Orland Park, but well worth it. We'll be back! read more

Passed this restaurant countless times decided to go in...I had not eaten all day!!! I ordered the shredded chicken burrito that came with: lettuce tomato rice beans salsa (mild) and crossed out the sour cream. I ordered a Topo Chico mineral water to chase down. All for $12 ... a little on the pricey side. The burrito was great tasting. The chicken was well seasoned the hot salsa was just that but not too overpowering. Great experience still on the fence about the price. Will go back to try the taco special for $1.50. read more

Brightly colored walls welcome you into this place. It's a slight dive but looks pretty clean. The chips are thick and filling, refills came fast. The salsa is very mild so anyone could eat it. Not my favorite but that's not a loss I'm not a huge salsa eater anyway. We ordered guacamole and it was really good. I especially liked the huge chunks of avocado and the fact it wasn't just a pile of onions, tomato and cilantro. I got pop, hubby got water. They don't have fountain drinks so no free refills. Hubby had an enchilada dinner and he thought they were great. Better than a place down the street we tried. I had a steak burrito it was big. WARNING because I wasn't expecting it (not a fan) there was sour cream in my burrito. It was still tasty but I just don't like sour cream in my burrito. Makes it cold. The meat had a good flavor. Beans, cheese and tomato seem to be standard other than that. I got double beans because I'm not a fan of rice. Beans were okay. Hubby said his rice was great, standard / nothing special. It's just rice. Couldn't finish my burrito. Went to pack everything up and the waiter gave me one box. I had to explain I'm one of THOSE people... I don't want my guacamole/ beans / burrito touching. He said no problem and grabbed me another box no problem. So I would be up for trying their breakfast. What we ate was pretty tasty so no complaints. 1 pop, guacamole, burrito dinner, enchiladas dinner = $33.38 (that was w/ tax) and we have leftovers. We shall be back PS. My hubby just bought a Horchata and it is pretty tasty. He didn't see that on the menu and we walked it. Also they don't just take cash anymore they do card or check as well. This place is legit. I come here so often I don't even need a menu. The food is always perfectly cooked and the service is great. I recommend the " esquite " to start with which is their take on street corn and to follow the carne en su hugo! It's better than the one I make at home that's for sure! So this is a hard one for me. I am giving 3 stars only because they have always been my go to for authentic Mexican food. But today I ordered chicken enchiladas and it was all mush inside, a baby could have eaten it. It was the consistency of pudding. There was absolutely no texture to the chicken and the flavor was completely off. I have to say I was confused because the owner, who also is the cook has always made delicious food. The only thing I can think is that someone else did the cooking. If that is the case, that person can't cook and needs to be fired. You cannot charge people for slop! read more

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten at. It's small nothing special but very clean. The people are very nice. Their tacos are the best. The beef is very tasty, the steak is tender, chicken is slow cooked and shredded and the pork is also great. We haven't been disappointed with anything we have tried. They also serve breakfast. The food here is much better than Rubens only a few miles away. The only issue I have is they only take cash. If it wasn't for this we would eat here more often. read more
