It was... okay. Upon entry, you order at a counter. They do bring your food to your table but then you bus your own. I ordered the chicken pozole and it was incredibly salty for ME. But to speak honestly, a lot of things are salty for me. My Chica ordered steak tacos and she really enjoyed them. The guac was also good. The chips are fabulous. The service was super sweet. Came here from seeing it on Instagram and it turned out to be a great experience. It is in the Griffith airport and is a little hidden. Aesthetically it is a it is a charming spot, not the fanciest but very colorful. Service was nice and they brought out everything quickly. The food!!! Was a 10/10! I really enjoyed my carne asada tacos. Everything had great flavor including the horchata. Very refreshing and light and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Fantastic tacos! The homemade tortillas are very good and very appreciated! The al pastor and steak is really good. I love that the avocado salsa comes right on the tacos. The cebollitas are sliced, but that's not a big deal for me. The beans are really good! Out of all of the Mexican restaurants I tried in the area, they have the best ones. They taste the closest to homemade that I've had. read more

I picked up a DoorDash order from Flako's Tacos. That particular day, it was scorching, hot and the cashier offered me a cold drink. That rarely happens when I'm out dashing and I really appreciated it. I will definitely stop by for the food the next time I'm in the area. read more

This restaurant is a bit hard to find but worth the search. I came with my Hispanic family and they were all big fans of the food. The chips and salsa are amazing and the chips are so crispy. I had their steak taco dinner and it was excellent. It was a seat yourself type of place so keep that in mind when you come in. The waitresses are very nice and attentive. Overall this was a win for my family and we are excited to come back soon! read more

Upon arriving, I was shocked to see it was at an airport location building! So first thing: we had to wait for a table for a long time! The restaurant was empty and only 2 waitresses! Once we got seated, she sat us at the bar. No bartender. No waitress. No menu. No chips...nothing. We were on our phones for a whole hour! No joke! We didn't get any water! Then the waitress said "our turn was next". Once the chips came, she didn't even take our order and left the trash with us. Like what the heck! We ordered the ramen bowel of birria and it was okay. The cheesy tacos dipped in the birria dip was the best part. The giant horchata was good but loaded with nothing but ice. Very mediocre service. Would we go back: I won't go back. Came here during the last hour of being open. No one greeted us so we finally seated ourselves. Took about 7 minutes before the painters finally told someone in the kitchen that they had guest. Wife and I ordered Tacos with Beans and Rice. While waiting for the food the painters were painting the bathroom doors so it slightly smelled like paint in the dining room. Food came.. it was decent but nothing to blow a horn about. Chips needed salt and salsa was watery. We will try it again at some point, probably on a week night or dinner time on Friday or Saturday just to give them a fair shake. But if your going to stay open late on a Sunday then you need to focus on the business and not fun and games in the Kitchen. read more

If I could rate this 3.5 I would, food was good service was great, and it was a positive experience, however the restaurant itself isn't the greatest atmosphere and it's in a strange location next to the airport not that it matters. As a take out spot it's a 4 star all day, however based on dine in it isn't anything I haven't had before and the ambience isn't very enjoyable but overall if they had a more pleasant dining area it would be so much higher. But as a takeout restaurant definitely give it a try! Don't let the dining room deter you from eating here because they deserve good business however I'm just being honest. read more
