Unbeknownst to us a down burst of wind went through specific homes and one of them was ours. We heard something sliding down our roof and when we went out to look we found the hip part of the roof missing. This is where two roofs meet. A down burst of wind can happen any place at anytime and can cause damage, in this case some roof shingles. The next day I made some calls but wasn't quite satisfied with some of these roofing companies wanted me to believe what else is needed, not so. So I went onto the register of contractors website and to be honest Castillo Roofing was the first listed. So I gave them a call and they answered right away and my biggest mistake was to call well known companies. Ubaldo Lopez, owner of Castillo Roofing, showed up and immediately we introduced each other. I showed him what needed to be done. He climbed up on the roof and surveyed the whole roof. After he came down he told me the rest of the roof is in good condition. He gave me a price that was more than reasonable, and not like these other were wanted to do. I also asked him if they could seal around the pipes that stick out and said he wouldn't charge me any extra for that. I hired to go ahead and no sooner than said our neighbor wanted a quote. Their roof had more damage. Our repair was completed in two hours plus the seal around the pipes. The neighbor's was completed in four hours but they had a bigger crew whereas ours had one roofer. We were very satisfied with the repair work as was our neighbor. We gave the name to two others and they also ended up hiring Castillo Roofing. Even though all this repair work was unexpected we were happy with Castillo Roofing. Let me give a shout out to Ubaldo Lopez, as he does come by to make sure the work is done properly. He will even ask you if you are satisfied. If in the future we have a need to have a new roof installed we definitely will call Castillo Roofing.

I was aware that HOA does not cover roofing but I was confused over an extremely vague letter and the possibility of a huge cost coming my way. I decided to contact Patterson Roofing with a neutral perspective. I told them my HOA says there are roofing problems and I need a quote. William called me before I scheduled time to let me know he was near my home. He came early which was perfect. I showed him the letter that was sent to me and he went out to check the roof. As I had suspected, the roofing issues had nothing to do with my side of the roof. William was kind enough to thoroughly check the area, take photos, and explain everything out to me. Even though I don't know anything about roofs he knew how to explain it in a way that a regular person like me would understand. He even offered to speak to the neighbor that day and gave me permission to give my HOA his information so he could explain his findings to anyone that asked! I had a great experience with this consultation. The customer service was on point. I would definitely call Patterson for any future roofing needs I may have.

I agreed to pay a massive amount of money cause the guy promised they were going to do the job right and remove all the foam from my roof and replace it. He stated that if you don't replace it all, the new foam won't adhear right and I'll have leaks a few years later. Well, they did exactly what they promised they wouldn't do. They left about 40% of the foam (about 8 inches) all the way around the perimeter of the roof and the area when I have a higher ceiling. They just sprayed over top of it. They blew all the dust into my vents on purpose (cause they couldn't blow it over the roof wall so this was the lazy way). I have videos of my kitchen cabinets blowing open cause they blew it down with such force. They trashed my awning and killed my plants. The pitch doesn't allow water to drain off my roof and it's going to cost 20 to 40k to fix. Now they're threating me with court or a lien on my property if I don't pay them another 15k for their terrible work. Save your sanity and stay far away from these guys. I could go on for another 5 or 10 paragraphs about how terrible an experience this was.

When they finished the work, I had five water leaks during the first rain. One area was sloped wrong so it drained over the edge of the roof. Three skylights leaked and there was a leak into the garage. I called East Valley and they sent a guy who tried to repair the garage leak. East Valley then sent Joel out to look at the other leaks. He informed me that the leaks weren't the fault of East Valley ... it was because the skylights need to be replaced and they couldn't really do anything about the area that wasn't properly sloped. Joel didn't mention any of that during his initial inspection. When I asked East Valley to fix the slope issue, I was told that Joel needed to reinspect it. I waited a week and texted Mike (maybe an owner) and asked when Joel was coming to look. So eventually Joel called and said he didn't need to reinspect because the skylights needed to be replaced and they couldn't fix the slope issue. So I asked him what the estimate was to replace the skylights. He said he'd look at it and let me know. Over a week has gone by and still no response from East Valley Roofing. Trust is big with me and I not only don't trust their workmanship, but I don't trust Joel and now Mike. I'll find someone else to complete the mess. Maybe I'll talk to a lawyer. I don't recommend East Valley Roofing to anyone who needs roofing work done. I just don't trust them. And they don't care. They just don't want to honor their word.
