They alerted me to things I should do very soon, ie. an oil change and tire nail fix. Luckily I knew about those things and already had an appointment at a tire store the next day, but it's nice to know they do a general quick inspection to make sure things are good. When I got back for the pickup the mechanic was test driving the vehicle, also a sign of a good mechanic shop. The bill was exactly what I was quoted and I was happy with the price. I feel like it was a good value for getting done what I could not do myself. I think some of us, like myself, have a mechanic friend, but I chose to go here because I wanted it done right and I trust they do it right. The car i took in for service was a family van and we need it to work right and to be reliable. I don't know if everyone feels like I do that these days you always have to fight to get things done right or be prepared for something wrong or to cost extra or whatever but this was simple. Tell them what I need done, drop it off, pay for it and pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised there were no hickups.

After a very disappointing experience elsewhere, I brought my Porsche to Marlow Motor-Werks, and…read morethe difference in professionalism was night and day. Nathan accepted my vehicle, communicated clearly throughout the process, finished the work on time, and treated me with genuine respect from start to finish. What impressed me most was the level of organization and care: - professional front office management - clear communication - detailed inspection process - clean and professional environment - respectful customer service They performed my Porsche oil service for nearly half of what I was previously quoted elsewhere, without sacrificing quality. They also completed a thorough inspection report covering the vehicle bumper-to-bumper, identified a small oil seep issue, and even pointed out that my tires were older and should be considered for replacement for safety reasons. You can tell this shop genuinely cares about both the vehicle and the customer. Even the small touches stood out -- coffee, hospitality, clear explanations, and follow-up communication. Although they were originally known for Mercedes vehicles, they now service many European brands including Porsche and BMW, and the shop was full of high-end vehicles when I visited. Nathan and the team made me feel welcomed, respected, and informed throughout the entire process. That level of professionalism is rare today.

I met with the seller of my vehicle at Aaliyah's Auto Shop for a pre-inspection. During the…read moreinspection, the owner, Jesse, informed me that my vehicle had a "very small" water pump leak and that the coolant level was low. He stated that he topped off the coolant with fluid and showed my husband a picture; however, the picture he showed was only of the coolant, not of an actual water pump leak. At no point was I shown a picture or physical evidence of a leak itself. Due to the stress of the transaction and being surprised by this diagnosis--especially since I regularly maintain my vehicle every three months--I did not ask to personally see the alleged leak at that time. Jesse also stated that the vehicle needed new brake pads because they were due for replacement. A few days later, I contacted Jesse to request a photo of the water pump leak. He then informed me that he did not have any photo of a leak--only a photo of the coolant. He went on to say that the car was otherwise "perfect," drove great, and that the only issues were the need for new breaks and a new water pump. Because of these inconsistent statements, I took it upon myself to have the vehicle inspected at a Honda dealership while also completing an oil change. The certified Honda mechanics did not find any water pump or coolant leaks (please see attached video). Additionally, they confirmed that the brakes were at approximately 50% life remaining and did not require immediate replacement. Based on these findings, I am deeply concerned about the accuracy and integrity of the inspection performed at Aaliyah's Auto Shop. It appeared that unnecessary repairs were recommended without sufficient evidence. Jesse also emphasized that his shop was the cheapest in town and that he offers the best prices, which further raised concerns that the diagnosis may have been influenced by sales motives rather than factual mechanical issues. I believe this experience demonstrates a lack of transparency and reliability. I strongly encourage anyone seeking a pre-purchase inspection to consider using a trustworthy and reputable mechanic or dealership service center to avoid receiving misleading or inaccurate information.
