I went to this JL for a safety check. As a traveling therapist I'm constantly on the rode so I get my oil, tires and brakes checked often. A safety check typically takes about an hour or so if the shop isn't busy. This particular morning there were already several cars present so I was prepared to wait. Maybe 15-20 minutes into my wait a staff member told me my car was ready. The initial guy, who I assumed was in charge looked me dead in my face with a smile and said my car was good to go and the safety check was free. Knowing I usually pay between $100-150 for the service I thought there is no way he isn't charging me. I was referred to another service shop by one of the doctor's at my office after sharing my concerns about this particular JL. I was told my front brakes were extremely low, one of my back tires was dangerously balled and my oil was so dirty they were surprised no engine lights were on. I'm sharing this because the white guy smiling in my face and telling me my car was good to guy, knowing they didn't even look at my car could have caused a dangerous situation for someone who drives extensively for work. If you don't want to service POC then maybe not be in th business of serving the public. read more

There's 2 jiffy lube with a couple of miles ... I wonder if we're talking about the same location? I only give 5 stars when a business goes out of their way , like the crew at this place did. They were thorough , honest , offered a refund when I didn't ask for one because it was not their mistake , stayed late to finish up. Their price for a battery was $100 less than another shop in town! They are open til 6 and on weekends! I live out of town by an hour but am considering stopping by this place again when I need an oil change. read more

Went in to get an oil/filter change, within minutes they show me the cabin filter from my car, dirty and needed changing. Told me the price was $50, I told him that was way too much, he then says $20, said no. Ordered a Bosch filter on amazon for $15 and took about 2 minutes to install. I have brought several cars here over the years for LOF. Today I brought in my Mini. They did the oil change last time. Today they inform me they can't do an oil change because my car has no coolant, very little oil and some part will "break if they try and remove it" ok. They top it off and I leave and drive straight to my regular mechanic. He does an oil change, doesn't find any leaks and says my coolant bottle is under pressure meaning it isn't leaking. Was it empty when I arrived at Jiffy Lube? I don't know. I will be keeping an eye on it. I heard him in the shop say that one part was cinched down way too tight. This is probably the part the guys at Jiffy Lube couldn't get off. However one of their guys cinched it down too tight last time. Don't do two turns past tight. My guy didn't indicate my car has any issues- so I'm not sure what these guys saw? They were nice to me and I appreciated that. read more

This is my go-to place for getting oil changes. Usually very happy with the service my car gets here. HOWEVER, that said, my one complaint is that I asked for a quote to get my spark plugs replaced & I feel they tried to take advantage of me. $54 per spark plug just for parts is outrageous, plus labor. If they had quoted me a more reasonable price I would've had the work done there but instead I encouraged my husband to learn to do it with me using youtube videos and we saved a ton of money that way. They were only $12.49 each at a local auto parts store, so I felt like the price Jiffy Lube tried to get me to pay was very unreasonable & like they thought I wouldn't know any better. It was fairly easy, so maybe I can do it myself from now on. I think in the end Jiffy Lube is loosing potential jobs they could've been paid to do by marking up the price so much. If they'd marked the parts up to $20 or even $25 each I probably would've gone for it, but $54 each is a no-go (my car is a 4 cylinder so thats $54x4 plus labor). Other than that, Ive been happy with the usual oil changes & the employees are always polite. I still plan to go there read more

Went in for a quick oil change. We were in and out in about 25 minutes. Team members were all friendly and professional. Watching them work on my vehicle, I didn't see them vacuum out the car and asked them about it after which they did bring the car back in and did a complete vacuum. If I was in the area again and needed an oil change I would definitely stop by again. read more

Very friendly staff here. We all know that Jiffy Lube is usually about 25%-50% more expensive than visiting your regular mechanic. But that can be addressed with many of the possible online coupons that are available. Today I came in for a full synthetic oil change and was not disappointed. Service was quick, and they did everything down their "signature oil change" list, besides the vacuuming due to COVID-19. Although you pay over $20 more compared with the standard synthetic oil change, it comes with a complimentary multi point fluid check and top off of washer fluid, as well as others. Facility is quite clean as well, and everyone is required to social distance and wear masks. Recommend this place if you can't make it to your regular mechanic for oil changes. read more

Started off terrible as I pulled in with no cars waiting but 2 of 4 bays did have cars being worked on. No biggie I don't mind waiting. Walked up to the counter after leaving my car at the "leave car here" sign and ended up waiting 25 minutes at the counter!! Didn't mind waiting at all but not even a "hello" "welcome in" "be with you in a minute" just would look at me and walk away. 2 of the techs stood there on their phones for about 5 minutes. Eventually got helped and I was gonna put this behind me until I get in my car and notice halfway home giant black grease marks on my glove box from these clowns. Why even offer a "quick clean" like vacuuming the floor mats when you're just gonna make my car dirty? Called to ask what happened and was just hung up on. Great service! Had my 20 year old 214k mile Toyota Tundra serviced including oil service, transmission service, brake flush, coolant flush, new spark plugs and ignition wires, new filters and wipers. Took only 2 hours and was 25% less than the independent shop I had been going to. Also independent wanted the truck for 2 days to complete the work. Jiffy takes coupons from their website which saved $50 and they cleaned all the windows and vacuumed the carpet. Clean, nice waiting room. Right next to Jack in the Box so you can get something to eat while waiting. read more

I'm not sure if it is a training issue with this crew or not? Over the years I have exclusively taken my vehicles to this particular location. Not once, but twice the technicians have used the impact drivers and put the tire lug nuts on too tightly and stripped the bolts. Another time with another vehicle, they put the oil drain plug in to hard and stripped the bolt. I would not take my vehicle here. read more

Well, I gotta say Jiffy Lube Monterey on a Abrego Street needs to be boycotted for the time being. !!!!!! Let me explain, we do like we normally do and get the oil changed a week before we leave to go out of town and then figure Jiffy Lube got us all dialed in no need to double check their work or reopen the hood so then you go with your family on a driving trip all through Oregon where you put a couple thousand miles on your vehicle. You come home and drive to work and your buddy looks like your leaking some oil long story short you open the hood and realize the Jiffy Lube people never put the oil cap back on your engine oil. The whole time you were driving on your family vacation oil has just been bursting through the engine making a complete mess as well as leaking out. I guess good thing our oil was full because the low light didn't come on until after we got home. Jiffy Lube fix up first to do nothing until they talk to the district manager so let's let you drive away and continue to drive with no oil cap like WTF. It takes a full 24 hours for the district manager to get back to you only to tell you, they'll order you the oil cap and give you a $50 coupon off your next oil change. What part of I'm never going back to you again Understand and how could they not offer to refund the oil change that fucked everything up in the first place. The engine is a mess. Not sure how we clean that out and we still don't have an engine cap for the oil because it's gonna take a few days for them to order it and get it in. I did take the number of the district manager and try to call him continually my call gets forwarded to voicemail so we'll see how that plays out. I agree with a previous yelper. Joseph and his team are wonderful thoughtful and caring! When they took care of my car for an oil change they checked everything and reset the tire calibrator. (When I took it to the dealership for service they did not bother to take that annoying little nagging light off!) I needed brakes and they did them easily, quickly and with a warranty. Before I got my brakes done I needed someone to look at the brake fluid to make sure I was safe for a journey to San Jose. They looked at the brake fluid for free, put air in my tires and safely sent me on my way. So when I say they care, they really do! They have a forever customer with me. read more

I went in for an oil change - there was no line. They got done quickly- but said my lights were too difficult to change (they aren't, I usually do them myself and I require no tools). They said that my wipers were good, that they filled the wiper fluid, tire pressure was good, and washed the windows. I went home and was able to put half a gallon of wiper fluid in my car, only the windshield was cleaned, and my back wiper is breaking down. So now I have to check my tire pressure and am worried they didn't actually change my oil. read more

Bottomline: Do NOT jeopardize your car maintenance by getting service with Jiffy Lube! If reliability of service and risk of damage after service are not your top priority, at least DO NOT get the service done in store #01051 (2310 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608). Longer version: I had a three day trip to Orlando and Miami, followed by the International flight of my family. We had prepared for the trip. On Sunday morning (June 20) I took my car (2018 Toyota Sienna) to Jiffy Lube for oil change. I was initially satisfied with how quick it was done. Then right before we left Gainesville, traveling less than 15 miles since the oil change, the engine oil light turned on. I took the car to the closest Jiffy Lube (Tower Road) which was closed. I parked the car there overnight to prevent engine problem. Monday morning, the Jiffy Lube staff at that store checked the oil and confirmed it's completely empty. He examined the filter and said the filter gasket has been tightened up too much and thus broken into two halves. He fixed the issue and refilled the oil. Right after the fix, I took my car to the previous Jiffy Lube store on Archer Road and explained to the manager what happened and said I will follow up after my trip. As a result of the oil change issue, I missed my hotel reservation and was at the risk of missing the international flight, let alone the potential risk of engine break down (several thousand dollars), risk of someone breaking through my car parked overnight at the store spot, and putting my family's safety in jeopardy. Once I returned from the trip, I went to the Jiffy Lube store at Archer Road and talked to the manager and assistant manager, more than ten times in person and over the phone. They delayed any response saying they needed to talk to their upper managers, and refused to accept full responsibility for their mistake, by at least refunding me what they had charged for the oil change. They tried their best to refuse by putting all decision making responsibility on higher management, and then not accepting it. Last time I went there in person to discuss it with the manager. The manager told me to stay in the lobby while he and the other person were working on the cars. From 10:10 AM to 10:40 AM, they worked on 4-5 cars without respecting my time, and refused to talk, so I left. This whole back and forth took 25 days. To conclude that, I will NEVER EVER go to jiffy lube again to get any car maintenance. I discourage you from doing so. What price are you willing to pay and how much risk do you take, in exchange for a little faster service? THINK TWICE! read more

I've been using Jiffy Lube for years because of convenience, value, service, and my car info is in their system no matter which location I go to. I've had great service at most locations I've been to but this particular location has exceptional customer service. I came in on a Saturday morning and they serviced my car immediately. I needed a few more services than I anticipated and they were able to accommodate without me feeling like I was being over charged. My car was making an AWFUL noise and I figured it was my brakes. This place is basically the only place open on a Sunday so I'm grateful for that. I called in advance and spoke to John, what a friendly guy! Told me to come on over. He so much as glanced at my breaks and told me that I was running metal on metal. He told me he was able to fix it up and get me going before the day ended. Brakes are expensive and honestly I wouldn't wanna get cheap brakes bc, they're your brakes. If they're "cheap" I would question the shop. He didn't try to sell me on anything else, which I like. Did my brakes, oil change, washed my windows bc sand ON your car in Monterey is a standard thing lol. Overall great service, gave me a $50 discount which I appreciated and I was on my way with no more car noises! Took about 3 hours and he had two cars ahead of me when I arrived. Highly recommend! They're fast, so plan ahead since parking is limited. Just in case they're busy, hang out at the bakery near Denny's for the best coffee. My wife came down first, and was told "It'll be about 45 minutes." She responded that she was dropping it off anyway, and that was fine, but they said "No, it'll be 45 minutes before we can check you in." So we came back this afternoon, thinking it would be easier. It was, but it still took 15 minutes just to sign the work order and get out of the office. One star because they left my keys in the door of the car when it was in the lot out front, right in front of the sidewalk on Abrego. That level of incompetence makes me question whether or not they even did the oil change, or if they left something in the car (or took something out). I thought it would be nice to try this place, since it's so convenient to other things if you want to walk, but I won't be back. You should stay away also. There are too many places offering overpriced oil changes in the MP region to accept this. read more

Avoid this place if possible! I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. On the positive side they serviced my truck quickly, but it seems that is because they didn't do a very good job. The tire pressure on one of my tires was much lower than the rest. Checking and adjusting tire pressure is a quick and easy part of any tire rotation service. Upon getting the truck back I noticed the sensor still showed a low tire warning. I asked before I left and was assured it was taken care of, and I just needed to drive for the sensor to adjust. After several miles of driving the tire pressure never came up, so I checked with my own pressure gauge and it was obvious they never inflated that tire to the correct pressure. I drove back and explained what happened and why I was upset, especially since I double-checked before I left. I received a half-hearted apology and they said it would be fixed. I left again thinking the problem was remedied, but the tire had been only inflated a few psi and was still lower than the rest of the tires and lower than the recommended psi. I will never use this Jiffy Lube again, and will recommend everyone who values their time and sanity to avoid this place as well! read more
