The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because my mother doesn't speak English but she does understand it and one of the guys who was there mentioned that hand gestures were universal as the other person was guiding but wasn't doing it properly so we got confused. So when he made that rude comment he thought we didnt hear it. So he needs to watch what he says because it was very offensive. They will try to upsell you on stuff and if you don't really know how to change your own air filter or things like that then that can be helpful, but you can respectfully decline and they are nice about it and don't put the sales tactics on too hard. I have been coming here to get my oil changed since it was oil can Henry's and I first got my license. That is over 15 years. But lately staff here is not performing what they are supposed to. The last three times I have gone to get my oil changed, nobody has checked my lights, my blinkers my brakes or come over to show me where my oil is at and where my transmission fluid is at. It's definitely a lot less personable in the family feel is gone. I have considered recently changing places to get my oil changed and I have been coming here for so long. read more

I was helped by 2 gentlemen, Maurice and Uriel. When I came there I was in a bad mood (literally just had gotten broken up with) These 2 completely turned it around, they were respectful, helpful, and genuine with me. Uriel found a light that was originally going to be replaced for $35 and tested the connection to fix it, saving me 35 bucks. I mentioned that I am sorry for my poor attitude and that I just went through a breakup (I shared way to much) but Maurice now knowing what I was going through, connected with me, and gave me some reassurance and kind words that I will not forget anytime soon. I also started a new job and haven't gotten paid yet, he knew my situation and told me while his bias is always the best as it lasts longer and keeps the engine in a better state, he thinks I would do just fine for today taking one step down and going with a bit of a cheaper option. I fully plan to go back for the highest option next time. It's rare to have such great service but to have it by 2 different people at the same place, giving me such great service and treating me as a person or even a friend, was amazing and made my whole day better which I desperately needed. read more

I have no clue why this place has bad reviews. Every single time I have been here the people have been so kind and so helpful to me. There is sometimes a line but that's not their fault, they're really fast! It's just convenient (which is why I go) so lots of different people have the same idea. When I moved to this part of California I was worried (as a young woman) about getting ripped off and being mistreated at any vehicle maintenance place/auto shop. This place absolutely surprised me in the best way possible, I always feel welcome and am greeted by friendly helpful people. There isn't anywhere else I go for my oil changes and car maintenance now. This last visit a couple of days ago, I was helped by the assistant manager himself (I believe his name is Carlos) and he was extremely helpful and friendly and made sure I got my vehicle serviced as quickly as possible. Last Time I didn't get the best service and was left waiting for a while with my son in the car, I came back again since Valvoline gave me a ten percent discount... only to be disappointed. I was on the left side and saw cars that got here after me go before me, than they use to do the beginning phases of scanning the barcode on your doors checking tire pressure, and making sure the basics were covered. This time around it was just waiting 30 mins before I got my car in, only had one car in front of me, I'm gonna have to start looking for a new place these poor guys seem too confused and don't seem efficient on providing good customer service. I don't know much about cars but I was nervous about them doing the transmission fluid change because I have a used car and I dont know it's history. However it's a fast and convenient service and I felt the price was reasonable. It's been about two months and I haven't had any issues. The team was great and filled my tires with air. I have been coming to this Valvoline location since they opened. I have always had great, fast and helpful service here. They always makes recommendations, but are not pushy about hustling product. When telling them you wanna think about the products for the next visit, they will annotate it under "recommendations" as a reminder for next visit. The awesome part about the cost is that I almost always have a coupon for discounted oil changes. They are always kind and very quick to get you in and out. They went through all the motions, checked everything, battery check was OK (see screen shot), then they said my battery was dirty, so I paid extra 10 to have them clean it. They sprayed with water and scrubbed it, and said I was good to go. When I went to start my car, it was DEAD! I told them he flooded it with all that water on my battery. Now two guys rest battery...Your battery is low, needs to be replaced. Um NO, you said it tested fine, NO mention of LOW test, until NOW, now that you drowned it and it won't start!! Manager comes out to say it was a just a MISCOMMUNICATION, my battery is low, or it could be my alternator. WTF?!?! I went on to say I had the car completely serviced 2 yrs ago at the dealership, the battery is only 2 yrs old and nothing was wrong UNTIL they "cleaned" the battery with a water hose and steel brush. The worst possible place to be, they charge 59.99 for cabin air filters which cost about 10/12.. they try and make all customers buy full synthetic even after you tell them no... the management team is not helpful, and they will do anything to not get a claim or customer complaint... if they do not note on your receipt that certain items under your hood were damaged you can also go back to them and make sure they take care of it. I would definitely recommend Paying close attention to all service that are done, they offer services like transmission flushes, and charge 200-300 when they don't even switch the filter out, they just flush the old fluid and new fluid in there... not sure how trust worthy that is.... So i would recommend going somewhere you can trust. This place is not trustworthy at all. The management is horrible, and the employees are just as bad.. they're not mechanics... but they all talk to customers as if they are. Be careful. Update... no I will not contact customer care the community has a right to be aware of your business. Everyone should pay very close attention to their receipt and read them carefully... they have to mark down if certain areas were "checked" half the time they do not check them and that can be a risk for whoever is driving! read more

Might as well get in line, need to take care of the car. While waiting, Chris came over to the car got all our info, checked; headlights (front & back), turn signals & brake lights.
