Visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It's a small brewery near Rowan University with an impressive taplist, friendly service, and plentiful seating. The woman bartending (I didn't catch her name unfortunately) was one of the friendliest people I've ever seen working in a brewery. Incredibly personable and talkative, and really made us feel welcome. My girlfriend and I each ordered a flight, and the individual pours came with accompanying information cards about each beer, which was a nice touch. They had a large number of stouts and sours, if those are your thing, and all were excellent. The real standout for me was the Vive Mas, a green sour ale apparently designed to emulate the Taco Bell Baja Blast, but for me it evoked memories of the Ecto Cooler produced by Hi-C in the 90's. Axe and Arrow's version is a sour ale with pineapple, blue raspberry, lemonade, and marshmallow, and is absolutely delicious. We were eating dinner and the restaurant carried some Axe & Arrow beers on their menu. I'm not from NJ so I had no clue but I got the strawberry shortcake beer and fell in love. We looked up their info and made it over to the brewery that weekend. We were in luck because it was their sour fest so we got to try some really fun brews! It's small little place but there is outdoor seating too. We tried probably close to ten of their beers and enjoyed most of them! Some of our favorites were the oreo blueberry sour and the baja blast beer. there was also a pineapple coconut beer that was great too! We grabbed some beer to take home so we could enjoy it after our trip! Great little spot to check out if you're in the area! read more

I'm kind of obsessed with the craft beers, specifically sours from here! I have had so many tasty cans over the past few months from others, it was finally time to go in my self. We had a great selection of 4 packs to pick from in the fridge right as you walk in. The seating/bar area itself inside on the smaller side, but it was too cramped. Once we got home we tried the Blue Razz and the Pineapple Fluff and both were big hits! Excited to try more soon. read more

Love this place! This place is beautiful inside and outside.. the beer is amazing. There is nothing basic about this brewery. Their beer is go good. They offer flights which is always a plus.. they will let you buy singles to take home.. I liked it so much I had to call and see if they offer sixtels, sadly they don't. I will definitely come back, it was recommended by a friend and now it's definitely a favorite, it's worth the 1 hour and 45 minute drive. read more

Man.. I wish when I went to college I had a brewery right in the neighborhood!! Awesome location and awesome vibes in this place! Definitely worth checkin out and stopping in to try out their brews. There is a parking garage located behind the brewery but there is plenty of street parking too! Also a variety of food places to order food and bring it in while you're enjoying your brews. Lots of choices on tap.. a variety for all your different taste buds lots of different combinations of flavors that looks all interesting to try. Came in during the Christmas holiday time so they had 4 different holiday brews which of course I tried them all. They do have tasters so you can try as many before committing. 4 holiday brews - Famous Spiced Brown Ale - tastes like a Gingerbread cookie - Vanilla Cranberry Sour - great flavors with a hint of vanilla to balance the sour taste - White Christmas Vanilla White Stout - crazy how it's a stout, this is sweet but not too heavy like a dark stout - Caramel Apple Cinnamon Bun Sour - exactly how it sounds!! I ate before we came, so I didn't have much room to try anything else.. will definitely be back for more tho! Axe & Arrow Brewing joins a whole bunch of new breweries in Gloucester County. Upon driving up there, I was happy to see how a college town has been emerging in Glassboro. It wasn't that way when I was choosing colleges. Axe & Arrow is a unique brewery, and I definitely recommend going. Their beers are flavorful and fun. They have all different kinds, and they are truly experimental craft beer. For the beer enthusiasts who want straight-up, serious hazy IPA's, maybe they wouldn't be happy here. But the brewers are Axe & Arrow know their local market. Having visited now 91 breweries in NJ alone, I can say that they are the only one that has original artwork on cards complementing each beer. I found it a far more enjoyable experience. Almost all other breweries just write the number of the beer in chalk, which doesn't have as nice of a presentation. Axe & Arrow brings beer can art to the flight. The service I received from John, who doubles as the assistant brewer was outstanding. But there's a fun atmosphere in there all around. read more

Great brews if you like IPA's and spurs. I wish there were some different options, but the sours were really good. Below is the Cherry fluff and it was a mix of sour, fruity, and he had some vanilla in it to smooth it out. The staff was super friendly. I definitely would recommend checking it out. read more

Environment & aesthetic: 4.5/5 Staff: 5/5 Beer: 2.5/5 Bathrooms: 5/5 Wanted to try somewhere new so I found myself here. The overall environment and staff of the place was great. The owners and employees were fun to chat with and seemed like a fun group of folks that cracked jokes. The novelty of the game cards for each beer was a nice touch, too. Since it was our first time here we tried a few rounds of flights and couldn't find a single beer that we really enjoyed. Though none were outright terrible, either. As a new brewery I dunno if they've really honed in on their method yet so it'll be exciting to see what happens in the future. We loved their wall of "things to do" and had fun playing with a few of the games (What Could Go Wrong, Connect4, Battleship, etc) and coloring in their anatomy book. And can't forget the bathrooms! They have two individual bathrooms on the far right of the bar down a short hallway. Well maintained and clean with cute decor on the walls. Again, enjoyed the place itself so fingers crossed for a future foray here. read more

They have some really delicious beer! They are centrally located near some great food places. I only ever sat outside due to Covid but it was always nice! The pink lemonade seltzer is AMAZING. I also love their coffee porter (or stout- can't remember). read more

A great place with awesome tables, a cool outdoor space, and good beer. it's also cool that they have games (jenga, cards, board games, etc.) to play while you drink. I do think it is weird though how they don't play music at all. It leaves a really awkward ambience, wish that would change. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars. read more

Came here with 2 of my friends and I gotta see the drinks were great and the bartender was super awesome I can't remember her name right now but she recommended me the prickly pear and the strawberry lemonade drinks and I was just wow, sooo damn good. Small start up brewery, in the heart of the newly renovated Glassboro Square. You have to look for it and I was told they are building an outside patio that we really add to this place. My sone and I each had two beers, I had the "That's Right" Lager and the "Rhapsody" Pilsner and he had the "Caber Toss" Scotch Ale and the "Corky Beans" Coffee Stout. I've gone to quite a few breweries in NJ and this one exceeded all of them for me by far! Have not had a single beer at this place that I don't like. Was at the place for it's grand opening as well and nothing has changed from that day. Owners have kept the beer high quality at reasonable prices since day one, which is fantastic. Owners are also very nice people and obviously love what they do. Very unique place as well as they have custom cards created by an artist (credited on the cards) that describe each beer you get in a flight (IBU, flavor profile, etc.). I've collected more than half of them so far and I plan on getting each one. Couldn't recommend the place more. read more
