First I would like to say we LOVE Five Points food & service normally. But have never been on a Friday or Saturday. SOOO crowded. Our group of 7 were seated in the middle of the dining room by the beer cooler & kitchen access. Conversation was impossible & every server kicked my chair because I was so close to the booth behind us they could not get around without tripping over me. Normally we love the food however, the Seafood Fa Diavolo is something to avoid. The crab is not lump, it is canned & shredded into the marinara gravy & so heavy on the linquine it was hard to taste the pasta. Service was adequate but once served she did not come back to ask if everything was ok because I would have sent my dish back & ordered something else. When someone did ask me why I didn't eat anything & there was a large heaping of tomato/crab gravy on my bread plate she thought I was joking when explaining how horrible it was. Anyway, we will return because we truly love the cheese steaks, mussels, gnocchi, pizza & other dishes. It was a special night & thought I would get something special. Didn't happen. read more

Ate out on the patio to see the singer playing that night and it was beautiful weather. Nice little setup outside, but heavy truck and biker traffic can make it noisy sometimes, no fault of the restaurant. Had a good experience with a server when we first came. She instructed us to meet with the hostess inside to get a table on the patio. My wife was in a wheelchair and she told us she'd bring the hostess out. Very nice. We had a nice table on the patio, but I have to say the metal chairs weren't that comfortable. Our server, who was very pleasant, came over and took our order. For dinner my wife had the ravioli and I had the shrimp fra diavolo. Each dinner came with either soup or salad and bread. The salad was very good. Nice crisp greens and lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, shredded carrots, and other fresh ingredients. The Italian dressing we got with it tasted good. The bread was nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. A nice start to the meal. My wife enjoyed her ravioli. For me I got my meal over rice instead of pasta which was fine. The shrimp was cooked nice, but with the tails on. I know it's just a pet peeve of mine, but I hate dipping my hands in sauce to remove the tails. The sauce itself had one of the best amounts of spice from a fra diavolo i'd ever had. However, I can't say too much about the sauce itself. I wasn't a fan of the taste. Almost tasted like a sauce you'd get in a store. My biggest issue was at the end of the meal. Our waitress all but disappeared. I wanted to get our leftovers boxed and get the check. She wasn't even out on the patio for almost the entire time the singer took her break. Actually I barely saw any of the servers for awhile until the hostess came out and I flagged her down to get our server. Another issue that I wasn't too happy about is that the waitress couldn't take my card to pay for the meal. I had to leave my wife, who has alzhiemer's, alone while I went into the restaurant to pay at the hostess stand. Except for a diner, what restaurant requires you to pay at the hostess stand. If their prices were much lower I could see it, but making your patrons get up and pay was kind of stupid. read more

Not the best Italian I have had but very good. Portions are huge and tasty. The wife and I ordered take out. She had the chicken parm topped with eggplant and I had the pork chop Asiago. Whenever I think about the Five Points Inn, the same 2 questions come to mind over and over: When can I go there again and why aren't I going there more often? The food: amazing! The service: amazing! The atmosphere: comfortable - almost like eating in your own home. My brother and I went for dinner back in late July, 2024. We sat at the bar. The bartender, Chris, was very personable and was wizard-like in how fast she could makes drinks and serve all of the guests at the full bar. Great job! My dirty vodka martini was executed perfectly and oh so good. My brother enjoyed his meal. Sorry, I am very late with this review and I don't remember what he had. I took pictures of my meal (see below). The Escarole soup was terrific and the strip steak was mouth-watering and most importantly it was cooked properly (how I ordered it)! That's all I need to be happy! The menu at Five Points Inn is extensive and populated with a ton of Italian delicacies. I appreciate that the pasta is homemade and cooked fresh to order. If you know, you know: it makes a huge difference. There is a bar area, but there is also an extensive seating area for dine-in service. I saw a lot of families at big tables enjoying their evening out. I would recommend Five Points Inn because the food is fresh and delicious, there are a ton of options, and the service is wonderful. I wouldn't call this the most authentic Italian place, but it is very reasonable pricing (reminds me of pre Covid) and also huge portions. Ordered a veal parmigiana which was massive. Taste good too. Comes with fries and zucchini.... zucchini in particular had a really nice sauce. Things haven't changed at 5 points much since I was a kid, but someone here has made the veal parm a masterpiece. The chicken parm will take you days to finish. Service has been friendly and fast too. The interior is still dark and the bar noise can bleed over into the dining room, but it's part of the charm. read more

It's a bar with a dining room attached. We ordered cheesesteaks and pizza. The waitress dropped our food off and we didn't see her again until we were finished. If anything I wish was better would have been my waitress, she wasn't rude or anything just left my drink sitting at the bar for like 10-15 minutes had to ask her to bring it to me and my wife ordered a coffee and she forgot about it. The waitress was nice but her timing sucked. It took about 25 minutes for her to realize someone was at her table. We ordered takeout order when we ordered our food which wasn't given to us until 20 minutes after we received our check. In total we were at the restaurant for about 2 hours. Heres the skinny, Its a family run Italian restaurant that has a loyal following. Great food with large portions and weekly specials. All the pasta is made in house as well as the sauce. The Pizza is top notch as are most all the meals witch is the basic Italian foods, chicken franchaise is a favorite along with the tagliatelle pasta. I saw one review where the woman said they didn't comp her meal and the owner was rude. Don't believe that for a second. They also have a bar in house for drinks and reasonably priced drinks. We had a very good server. Our steak sandwiches were delicious. You have to pay for any toppings that you want and they are skimpy with the paid toppings. It was very cold in there. Everyone that I saw had a sweater on and the air was blowing hard. A bus boy knocked over the basket that had silverware rolled napkins in it. He picked up the napkins and silverware and put everything back in the basket. I wish that I had been a health inspector. That was a definite violation. read more

He did not even offer to discount my meal, but only offered dessert in its place, which I declined. He never came to our table to inquire, but had his waitress say he can't do anything. Their sunday breakfast buffet is good, so clearly they either have different cooks during the rest of the week, or more likely, most of their food is frozen. I always look for the good in any place I review. I've been racking my brain looking for something good to say about the Five Points Inn. I honestly can't find one good thing to say. My wife and I went there on 11/4/11 with another couple. The place is very run down. It looked pretty dirty and dingy. It was Italian buffet night for $13.95. That would be a good deal if the food was edible. It was inedible but worse yet, their warmers, I believe, are not hot enough to prevent salmonella so I'm concerned that someone's going to get sick. The server was rude and the kicker was the bunch of drunks sitting at the bar having a screaming contest every time their baseball team did anything, or nothing. So, to sum it up: Grungy, run down place Awful food which is possibly unsafe Rude service Screaming drunks at the bar I will not be back. One more thing - try to figure this one out. I like to drink my wine not the cheap swill that this place has. I told our host that I would like to buy a bottle of their wine at full price. They could keep their wine and in return I would drink my wine. The answer was NO! I know that this apparent policy has nothing to do with any local liquor laws since I do it all the time. read more

GROUP REVIEW-WELL ORGANIZED I have been to this location at least 4 times with large groups of motorcycle riders. Today's experience was very consistent with the other times we came here. The staff is always prepared for us with hot coffee and a delicious brunch buffet. The buffet offered a variety to please everyone, which is hard to do with larger groups. This location had NO problem accommodating us. They reserved the second floor for us so we would not disrupt the main dining room, which we appreciate very much. It does get a little tricky with a large amount of motorcycles to park because park of the driveway is gravel, so be careful. If the food they served us is consistent with what they serve in the main dining room, definitely give them a try. I will the next time I'm in the area. read more
