Live music on a Saturday afternoon.
    Scott P.

I'll admit it: before coming here I thought the name of this place was one of the most pretentious names for a brewery I'd ever seen. The names of the beers? More pretentiousness. And the "About Us" section on the website? Hoo boy I've never seen such flowery, poetic, over-the-top language to describe something like beer. But here's the thing: the beer is truly phenomenal. They can resurrect Walt Whitman himself to compose their next press release for all I care, as long as they keep producing the heavenly elixir that is the beer I tasted yesterday. My girlfriend and I tried a few small pours (no flights) and regular pours while there on a Saturday afternoon. We loved everything we had, particularly the two cultured Saisons and the IPA's. The Songs, Like Trees IPA was, without a trace of exaggeration, one of the best IPA's I've ever had. Unfortunately it kicked while we were there. Large warehouse with plants everywhere, dark wood tables, leather couches, live music, friendly bartender... it all adds up to a great atmosphere and perfect Saturday afternoon down the shore. I'm sorry I ever doubted you! Long live The Seed, and may you continue to take root and grow in the NJ beer scene.

And I've come back for more that they have to offer as they reach their 4th year anniversary. The staff, service, ambiance, vibe, beer creation and even music at times, is all you want for a perfect day or night out. You can BYOF or buy from food truck that are very so often on premises. You don't want to miss paying a visit soon!

Good beer humble place well done styles great atmosphere. Unexpected! Bartender looks like woody harrelson and it made me feel like I was in cheers. Love that show.

I've been to dozens of brewery's in NJ. Had thousands of beers from all over the world. Last night The Seed offered some of the best beer in NJ and fun open mike singers to entertain the crowd. My favorite beer was Eager to Rest, a creamy, juicy IPA that rivals Dinner from Maine Brewing or Julius from Treehouse. Delicious! At First Light was also yum! But so were all of the beers I had. We will be back!

ATLANTIC CITY: my gosh, The Seed: A Living Beer Project is gorgeous! Beautifully decorated in a speakeasy style, we felt extremely comfortable hanging out and drinking a variety of beers including saison and lager styles. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside. This place is popular, so when you arrive, look for the "Order Here" sign at the bar to get a beer and then find a seat. Explore the decor and get lost in the string lights. 21+ to enjoy.

5oz pours are available as an option

I simply brilliant NJ brewery. The place is 100% new. There is a pretty good-sized parking lot here and though it is AC and seemingly not near anything else don't be afraid to venture out. The beers here are generally lighter in nature and that works well specially for their stouts. Most are offered in 5oz sample pours. Beyond that they have a middle of the road 8oz wine glass pour as well. The more breweries in NJ I visit the more I am starting to understand the unusual challenges they have so don't unfairly compare an experience here to one in a different state. In general, to the best of my knowledge, they cannot serve food, only packaged goods. Why? The lobby effort from restaurants to keep them out of the food business. They need to do tours. Yes, I tease you not and patrons need to take a tour once a year to drink there. That's why the spaces are open, that's the tour. They can only host 25 events a year. Yes, NJ doesn't want event people bringing in too much food. Oh, and they cannot call food trucks onto the property either. Advertise? Well, there are restrictions on that too. What a mess. The Seed, as with most breweries in NJ, keeps these burdens hidden behind their passion for making a great beer experience. For The Seed this effort is worth every one of the five stars it is getting in this review.

    Amazing beer

The Seed has rooted itself and bloomed into one of New Jersey's finest brewery. I can imagine it sprouting onto the National scene as well. A few blocks off the boardwalk/Hard Rock, the Seed is located in a standard, brewery- industrial setting. Once you go through the garage doors, there's a roomy, luscious tasting room complete with cozy and standard bar seats. I say luscious, as the decor is green and plant heavy- very visually pleasing. They pride themselves in all the environmental care and partnering done to create the beers. The beers themselves are phenomenal. There's plenty on draft, plus cans for takeaway. They thankfully have small pours, so you can try a lot without drinking many pints. The staff is also friendly and helpful. The Seed is the full package, and I can't wait to see their success continue to grow.

I was so excited to see that there was a recently opened brewery in Atlantic City, which created a delightful afternoon escape from the casino.  The Seed was somewhat hidden within an old warehouse, but its stark white walls and contrasting dark furniture created a sleek and modern vibe.  The tasting room offered a substantial amount of bar seating, several high-top tables, and even a couch-filled lounge area tucked away in the corner.  The bartender was in charge of serving everyone, so ordering from the bar was necessary, but worth the short walk; each brew was terrific!! Though they did not offer a formal tasting flight, we created our own sampling by ordering small, 2 ounce pours of 4 different concoctions.  First, the "As Simple As Signals?" Rauchbier had loads of character, while also being smooth and easy to drink.  Sure, it was very smoky, but it also remained versatile.  The "Lights Please 5" New England Hazy IPA was light, crisp, and possessed notes of pineapple, tropical fruit, and lemon rind.  Their "A Place to Rest" American IPA was similarly full of citrus and tropical flavors; it had a depth of character that most would enjoy.  Lastly, the "Stay Awhile" Dark Mild would be ideal for coffee lovers with its notes of roasted beans, tobacco, and bold richness.  As noted in the beer's style, it was mild and unassuming, while also being robust. The Seed offered excellent beers in a pleasant atmosphere, making it a welcome distraction in the midst of a spree of gambling escapades.

You'll have to pardon my beer snobbery for a moment, but this place is a great tap room for people that know that craft beer extends beyond the IPA. They have many styles to choose from. Quality is excellent and the service is friendly and attentive.

The Seed offers a variety of unique and delicious beers. Their menus are detailed, offering an in-depth description and the beer's flavor profile. Their bartenders are super kind and informed! You can also grab beers to go, as they offer some can options! Less important but important for the instagrammers (yes, I say it like a verb), I'm in love-love with the aesthetics of the seed! The boho, chic, industrial vibe is everything. Don't sleep on the gorgeous mural outside The Seed as well! As always, I'm excited for ya-A P.s. There is plenty of parking available to patrons!

The Seed was amazing! Beer is incredible, staff is friendly, vibe is perfect. A must visit!

We each had a flight and a regular pint. Nice variety in the taplist, including a maibock, an imperial IPA, a porter, a blueberry wheat, a saison, etc. The beers we had were all pretty good with one notable exception: the Philly Dilly. I love dill pickles and was intrigued, but quickly found out there is a reason you don't see pickle beers at any other breweries in NJ. This thing was vile. The stuff of nightmares.
