Been coming to Alondra for over a decade and I was appalled by the sudden and drastic increase in pricing. As of November 14th the menu was "updated." Translation: the price of wings increased from about .90 cents to about $1.50 each. The amount I used to spend on wings, cheese balls and drinks will no longer cover the wings themselves. I honestly cannot afford to eat here anymore. There is a hotwing shaped hole in my heart that will simply never be filled now that my favorite place has gone off the deep end. Known for their wings and for a good reason! Their variety of sauces and options for comfort food is breathtaking. However, the wait time for a party of two or three is 25 - 30 minutes when it's pretty busy. We asked if they had any vegetables and they politely said, "No. But we do have carrots." Why why why does it take forever for Alondra to prep meals? I've been to the Alhambra one (it was slow even during down time) and even when pasta was ordered this time, it took 25+ minutes! I haven't been to all Alondra Hot Wings, but with out of the 2 locations that I have frequented, 2 of them are both slow. Like 20-25 minutes-wait-for-your-food-slow. Did you have to make the pasta noodles, too? The server did apologize, but I was glad we all didn't order pasta or we would have waited forever. Since I went with someone who works in the restaurant business, 25 minutes is a good enough time to complain; I should have both I try to keep it cool and - then blow off my fumes on Yelp ;) The location is awkwardly located since there is a back lot entrance and would be hard to spot if you were driving on Whittier. We ordered pasta, wings, garlic fries, and a Mulberry burger. The pasta came out "ok" as did the wings and burger. Server couldn't count the change (we were shorted us 7 cents) and didn't bother to thank us for our patronage as we were leaving. Probably will be my last visit. read more

Really over rated. We orders 3 wings and a pizza. First of all we placed a call order. We got there 10 mins past the estimated time and the food was not ready yet. We had to wait another 15 mins for our order. Trust me I understand you are busy so give the customers and better time frame. Secondly, the wings were so dry and over cooked. My daughter and parents had a hard time chewing the wings. The pizza was cold when we got home (5 min drive) i remembered that when we picked up the good the pizza was done already but they were working on the wings. Oh and one more thing 30 wings, 1 little container of ranch. Totally sucked. read more

Very kind and very friendly service. Hostess gave a very good estimated time didn't wait much say a small table for five people but as soon as space opened up waitress bussed the table herself and was able to move me and my companions to a proper seating area. Didn't wait long for drinks after we ordered them and refills were always given in a timely matter. Food did not take long to cook great flavors none of the proteins where dry all tasted very fresh. Managers where giving a helpful hand to any of the employees that needed help. Place makes you feel comfortable with nice seating in the booths and great place to watch sports. If I could give this place zero stars I would, the customer service here was absolutely horrible!!! I went with my family on a Friday evening for dinner placed my order and my family and I sat down. A few minutes later bus boy asked us if we were dining in or taking out. I told him we were dining in. He asked if we could move tables or eat outside. I was in shock. I said no, I'd like to stay where I was at to eat. I had spent almost $200 and am a family of 5 we won't fit in a booth. He then walked away and when our food was ready about 4 people brought it to us in to go containers. The waitress said I ordered my food to go. I responded and said I've said it at least 3 times now my food is for here. She rolled her eyes and put the food down. I have never been to a restaurant with such distasteful service. Mushroom fettuccini is really good and large portion. I also tried their atomic wings which were crazy spicy. Don't do it if you can't hang. Cheese balls were disappointing. Bread was too hard and not enough cheese inside. I would stick to good old fashioned mozzarella sticks. Service extremely nice and even made conversation with our party. Ask for a booth when you put down your name or else they won't give you one. read more

So their food is good and all but what sucks is their service, it takes them hours to have a small order ready and if you want to order for pick up, don't because they never answer their phone and even if you order online they take forever to prep it, the time you get to pick it up is not accurate, I got a notification to pick up and they were not even ready I had to wait another 40 minutes for it to be ready read more

I'm a wings maniac!!! I've had wings in many cities around the world but i always end up at Alondras. The last few times I noticed the wings were getting smaller but my last visit i noticed many changes.. new managent? IDK but I'm back to being a very pleased customer. read more

This place is close by, and boy are we thankful. We only ever get the same thing: chicken strips!! You can get six chicken strips and fries for $10, which is nearly impossible at a sit down place in LA. The service when we dine in is always good, and they have a fair amount of beer on tap. Some big names, but also some craft rotations. We also get it carry out sometimes, and the only issue we've ever had is the sauce making the chicken soggy by the time we get it home. I definitely recommend getting your sauce on the side for to-go! read more

I usually like coming to this restaurant to get my wing fix, but the wait to be seated is long. Fortunately, today the wait to be seated was super fast, but the service was extremely slow. My server had no idea that my table was assigned to her so we waited more than 20 minutes to be acknowledge and have our order taken. We ordered 6 cheese balls (which I highly recommend), 12 wings, individual pizza, and salad. And even though it was a slow day; hardly any customers, the toppings on my pizza were wrong.ugh! The wings were dry and everything was pretty pricey. My server was nice and it was not her fault my pizza was made wrong, but i think servers should make sure the order is right before they take it to the customer. Just saying! I might come back again, just for the cheese balls lol, and hope to have a better experience. read more

I'm just going to make a list 1. Ordered 12 hotwings with Arlene sauce (my fav). Showed up dry. No big deal. I tried a few. But realized I need more sauce. So I asked for a side of Arlene sauce. - Never got it 2. Asked for light beer. They offered American Cream. I never heard of it. But I'm adventurous so I tried it. Beer was delicious! But was about 60°. No problem. I'm not picky. I asked for a cup of ice. Got the cup of ice. Problem solved. Ordered 2 more beers. Great beer! I love beer! 3. I also ordered the Antipasto salad. After reading the menu I was intrigued by the ingredients. Mainly the Italian vinegrette dressing (I'm on keto). Got the salad ... no dressing. Again, hate being a pest. This was the first time I went to Alondra Hot Wings. I've heard it was pretty good, so I figured I would go try it because who doesn't love wings?! No lie when I first pulled up to this location, the outside did look a little sketch, but it's very nice inside. Like bougie nice haha (lowkey nicer than BWW). We were greeted right away when we walked in and it wasn't really busy so we were seated quite fast. Our server was very friendly and since it was our first time, he was very helpful with telling us what were the best things to try on the menu. He recommended starting off the their cheeseballs. They are so good! I definitely recommend that as a starter. I ordered regular bbq wings with fries and the food came out very fast and we didn't have to wait that long. Also tried their pizza, too. Idk what kind of recipe they use for their bread, but it's bomb! I would definitely go back for sure. I would also say the food is reasonably priced. Was so excited to try this place out. I should have just gone with the wings though. I ordered the Turkey Rustica and my friend ordered the Manhattan Sandwich. Both were good but nothing spectacular. For sides, I had a side salad with ranch and mac n cheese. I was so disappointed because my mac and cheese was cold and i ordered onions on my sandwhich which were never put on. This place is a little smaller than their counter part in Alhambra... also, cleaner. When we arrived for dinner, no one helped us to be seated so we had to walk up to the register. Once we were seated, the server took our drink orders pretty quick and brought it out quick also. After we placed our order, the food came out pretty fast. The garlic fries here are very good. The only downside was that you can see all the oil that were glazed on it. They sprinkled some cheese on top and used garlic powder instead of actual garlic. We got the 25pc hot wings (mild and lemon pepper). I don't know if it was me or not but the wings seemed smaller. The mild was good, should've ordered "hot" though because there wasn't much of a kick in the buffalo sauce. The lemon pepper was sort of dry, otherwise it wasn't too bad. The seasoned fries were okay, they just lacked flavor. The Don Pizza was really good; topped with chicken breast, italian sausage, smoked ham, and garlic. It was perfect. The crust wasn't too hard or too soft, the pizza wasn't soggy, and the toppings weren't lacking in quantity. Overall, I would likely come back but to the Alhambra location because it's bigger and much cleaner. read more

This is not my 1st time to Alondra's Hot Wings, I've been the the one in Paramount, Alhambra & this one in Montebello. I came on a busy day (Friday) but the service was AMAZING! My server was Angel, and the hostess was a girl with glasses, both very nice, friendly, and attentative of everyone and their needs. I didn't know what to order and my server Angel recommended some dishes which I decided to try. I ordered the "This Thing Of Ours" pizza which was very delicious. I also had a Michelada which was very good aswell. Overall had a pleasant experience and would definitely come again. Especially if Angel is my server again. read more

Tbh not sure why so many people have been complaining about this place. I almost didn't go because I was afraid it really had changed so drastically and wasn't good anymore. I'm so glad I ignored the reviews! This place still has amazing wings like it always has, my favorites are the Thai chili, Cajun and mild. They did change the menu and made it a lot smaller but they still have my favorite "this is our thing" which is basically A buffalo chicken pizza and it's delicious. The only Thing that can improve a slight bit here is service but since it's a busy place, its understandable that service is hit or miss. I still love alondras and will continue to come here as long as the wings and pizza stay the same! read more

I just ate there with my family and the restaurant is terrible. First of all, after waiting for about 20 mins for our table, the hostess informed us that the only drinks they're serving is water and beer. I thought, are you serious!!! Secondly, we get seated and there was flies everywhere, it was nasty. I spent my time eating keeping the flies away from our food. Third, the food quality is not good. The wings were small, to crunchy and the lemon pepper seasoning was not properly seasoned. The waiter only can to check on is at the end when he brought our check. I checked in with Serena and was asked how many were in my party, I informed her that we had 8 in our party. She then asked me if we would be okay with sitting outside. When she asked me this I asked her if they had heaters outside and she said "umm I'm not sure, there should be" I then said okay and asked her what the wait times were for inside vs being seated outside. 10 min was given for outside and an hour for inside. She asked me if my party was here and I didn't answer her and told her to put me down for outside and I would go ask my party what they preferred to do. Once I confirmed with my party I went back inside and sat in the waiting area and when Serena came back to the front I asked her if she was able to confirm if the heater worked outside. Serena told me she already sat someone outside on the table I had just reserved. Not only was she throwing unprofessional looks at me while talking this out she also suggested with her gestures that I was lying about the incident. I get that mistakes happen and that things were miscommunicated on her end but a simple I'm sorry let me try and see what I can work out would have been just fine. Instead I had to ask to speak with her Manager Frank. Frank was helpful apologized for the situation and tried to see what he was able to work out. This is the professional way of doing things. Serena needs training on customer service. She does not realize that her facial expressions and gestures speak to the customer before she says a word but in this case her facial expressions were followed by her words. read more
