This is the very first groupon that I ever got for a massage and was not bitterly disappointed. Barry is great. Here is why: -I got there exactly at appt time because traffic was bad. I got checked in right away, filled in my 1 page paperwork, and was put in the room in 15 mins. -I assumed my massage was going to end after 45 mins cause that's how they catch you in most places. They count your hour the minute you walk in. But it keep going and going and going. I got my full hour. -I always prefer a male therapist cause they are more firm. For the first time EVER (and I have had hundreds of massages) I felt a bit nauseous from all the toxins released because it was truly a deep tissue massage. -The lotion used was simple, light fragrance and did not leave a heavy cheap smelling lather/fragrance. Really brought out the quality of the massage. Only teensiest bit annoyance was the fact that the rooms are not fully enclosed, although private, and you could hear other peoples conversations and stuff. That was a bit distracting. Go see Barry, you won't regret it. read more

This spa has a section for feet massage that has helped my problem in dealing with Neuropathy in my feet. What a soothing difference the foot massage has made. I highly recommend this place and will now come back regularly for this incredible feet relief. read more

So I don't know if this is an undercover sex shop or what. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I called first and asked if they dead sinus massages, I spoke with a lady named Mimi. She said yes. I get there at the scheduled appt time. She (turned out to be Mimi again) asks if I have an appt I say yes 1:30 for a sinus massage. She says okay $50. I've always paid for a massage after services but whatever. I undress, lay on the table, she comes in asking "back and body"? No, I said sinus but you can also do neck and shoulders . She does neck and shoulders about(with no lotion or anything) 15min then tells me to turn over. Asks me again what I asked for, I repeat sinus. She starts patting my face clearly not knowing what the hell. I ask, do you know what a sinus massage is? She replies "no, I no speaky english". I said no mam in 2022 we are not doing that. If you didn't know what a sinus massage was you should've told me no and not taken my money. She offers to refund half of the payment. So now I still have a throbbing sinus with no time to search for another place to go to or to go walk in at Nava De Massage which is a million times better but not convenient for my location read more

Nothing fancy about the decor. So if you are wanting more of a spa type of atmosphere this would not be the one. Massage on the other hand is what gets 5 stars! I get massages often and Nana I believe was her name was amazing. If you have never experienced a Thai massage it's more about stretching the body and massaging muscles. Over all this was a great experience and fantastic price. My friend loved her massage.Everyone there was super sweet. We will for sure be back. read more

I came here to write a review and it looks like there have been VERY similar experiences from other clients with the Groupon. I purchased 3 60 minute massages and he REFUSED the Groupon, no matter what I said. I indicated on my client information sheet VERY clearly that I was using the Groupon, but he insisted that he "told me on the phone it was $70." What a joke! They're clearly using the Groupon advertisement to lure clients there, then make them pay full price. If you're looking for a relaxing experience, look somewhere else. Not only was the front desk attendant extremely rude, he didn't care at all about the client experience, just that he got his $70. read more

When the masseuse asked what hurt and what type of pressure was wanted, and I told them, I was not expecting the DEEP TISSUE pressure administered. I was PLEASANTLY surprised. Seems that some people actually listen to the customer. Kelly was great. Very professional and respectful. I've tried other places in West Houston / Chinatown and I also believe the masseuse here was more experienced in pressure points since she was spot on to feel a muscle pop and then she focused on it. It was a "dentist type" approach. What's wrong, this is how we will fix it and here is after care points.... I shook my head when she spoke of the aftercare assessment. Meaning she suggested things for me to for me to do to make my issue less prominent. Really is an AWESOME MASSAGE. read more

Not bad massage, though for the price they charge they could do way better I think. I didn't complain as I got Groupon as a present but I looked through the price list it is higher in price than other massage places in China town. Which are better in my opinion. I also have mixed feelings about the atmosphere as well. No music, baby crying, not very relaxing.. The reservation also said it is going to be deep tissue, though in my opinion it was barely medium. Hot stones were just warm and didn't do the job in my opinion. When I was leaving I was stopped by the question about tips. Like "are you going to leave any tip for me" with a face "give me my tips". I am fine to leave them, though I have never experienced the situation when I am forced to do that. I understand they want money, though it is not very polite.. I see good reviews, I guess there are different specialists working there..I was not lucky to get the most popular one I guess)) read more

I really like this place and come about once a month or more for either a full body massage or a foot massage. Barry does a wonderful job as a masseuse. Last time i went was after a marathon and I was very sore. Barry combined swedish, thai, deep, and stretching and after an hour in his hands, i felt so much better. He really got into the massage and it was a perfect combination to address all my issues but still an enjoyable experience. Be sure to speak up on what you want and you will get a massage tailored to your needs. I've gotten the foot massage once and was also very satisfied. It lasts 60min with the first 10 minutes a shoulder massage and the last 15min a lay down back massage...which is nice after having your feet concentrated on for over 30min. Unfortunately I do not know the lady's name who did my massage but her foot and back massage was great and price was awesome! I have my next massage tomorrow - perfect for a work lunch break to unwind. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Again as stated by other, better to call in and get the "Groupon price" and pay when you come in. Which is fine with me. Barry does a great job of combining different types of therapeutic massage. My fav was the Thai, first time for me - and it was Awesome!! I typically prefer a female masseuse, but Barry made me feel comfortable and I had no problem relaxing and letting him get all the knots out. He is one superb and multi-talented professional. Amazing what he can do in one hour, he works hard. Next time I think I'll go for the 90 minute. I have been to many places in Houston area, and this is one of the Best! The business looked and smelled very clean, which is always a plus. Open Sunday, was good for me. read more

I called and made an appointment. Getting there, they placed me in a room and want to start a massage type that I didnt request at all. I had to repeat myself many times (their English is horrible). They finally understood me, and after 30 minutes I got the service that I ordered. However: I was not allowed to remove even part of my clothes, the rooms are partially covered on the top part, while I was having the massage two workers were talking all the time seated in front of my door, and the massage was horrible; I am writing this next morning post service and I am in so much pain (pain that I didn't have before the massage). I was overcharged on the price agreed. And at the end, the frontdoor agent told: next time call ahead of time and schedule. I said: I did, I called you, talked to you, and it was on the schedule. And she pretends be surprise. Dont recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Ok so yes if you're using this Groupon make sure it's valid so you can get the price you're actually paying for. I found this on Groupon on for $39.20 once I got the she said I'll charge you $40 I'm like okay cool then she proceeds to say I can only leave a tip a $10 originally I was going to do $5 not sure what happened here but I'm like whatever it's my birthday whatever. It was good overall I would have preferred a quieter visit with music but & the full ambience but I didn't get & honestly I'm not sure if I'll go back. Just thought I'd share an honest true opinion my body does feel better tho might I add. read more

THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE. LET ME REPEAT HORRIBLE. IF I could give them zero stars I would. Made an appt with a Groupon along with a friend. They confirmed the appt then once we got in they demanded that we reschedule because of our Groupon and the fact that we weren't paying cash. Absolute rip off. She told us they didn't make Any money off groupons and only did it to get more business. They tell us this after we had already bought the massages. Then when we told her we would like to keep our same appt she demanded that we get out and locked he door! Horrible customer service! Wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go here read more

I recently purchased a Groupon for this location based on the decent reviews and the great rate online. I was truly looking forward to my spouse being treated to a resting and relaxing massage since he had injured his back and desperately needed some TLC. However, when he arrived 5/26/2016 he was met with a lackluster staff that were argumentative about his Groupon use even though when his appointment was made and we were clear that the Groupon would be and could be used for this date/time they wanted to make a big deal about it being used and had to call Barry, the manager to confirm the usage. This appointment was made well before his arrival time and even before I confirmed purchase of the Groupon to ensure it was legitimate. Anyways, my spouse finally gets his massage after the initial agitation from the staff only to be asked in a very unprofessional demeanor by the masseuse of "so are you going to tip me now?" He of course said yes that he just had to get his wallet out of the car (he didn't know if there was a place there that he could store his personal belongings so he left them in the trunk just to be safe). Well the masseuse then proceeds to have an attitude when he mentioned how he just needed to get his wallet out of the car and proceeded to walk to the parking spot right in front of the entrance door only to turn around with wallet in hand to see the staff lock the door behind him. I am not sure what kind of business is ran with such a deplorably unprofessional staff with clearly NO customer service etiquette but this entire experience was the exact opposite of what he needed and what I paid for. Wasted money and time dealing with this staff. I have a suggestion for management, if you and your staff have an issue with people using Groupon or want to treat them like second rate guests then do not advertise on Groupon. Absolutely ridiculous that your staff is so comfortable to ask about their tip, never in my life have I ever heard of that kind of audacity in the service industry... and FYI I have and still work in the service industry. Either train your staff on proper etiquette or expect to lose a lot more customers! read more

I came to this location with my boyfriend after seeing the Groupon for it a couple months ago. When I called in to ask a few questions and make an appointment, the receptionist told me to just come in soon. She also advised me not to buy the groupon and that they would honor the groupon price of $40 for a one-hour back massage. Since I know that groupon takes 50%, I followed her recommendations. We were asked to fill out a form when we first arrived, much like other massage parlors, that asked us about our preferences and our aches and pains. I had been feeling some mad back pain and spasms from bending over a lab bench 10 hours a day 7 days a week, so I was greatly looking forward to this. The massage area is set up so that there are two rows of massage chairs in the center of the room with doors to individual rooms lining the edges of the room. Since we had opted for the back massage, we were led to the individual rooms. One major flaw was that there was no option of having a couples massage together in the same room. My boyfriend is always a little apprehensive about coming here because he is never able to communicate with his masseuses. After being led to your room, you are then invited to undress down to just your underwear (no bra, ladies) and prostrate yourself on the massage table until the masseuse knocks to ask to enter. I always ask for Tommy, who is actually also the manager of the business. Tomny is amazing. He is very professional, very considerate, and very good at what he does. He can feel the knots in your back and is wonderful at working at them. He even brought out the tiger balm to rub all over my sore back, bringing back a very comforting smell from my childhood. He always tells me how terrible the knots in my back are and makes recommendations about how often I should visit him to resolve the problem (its nothing ridiculous nor does he make it sound like a simple ploy to turn me into a money cow), yet I unfortunately can never make it on a weekly basis. Whenever I make a return visit, he always gives me ten to fifteen minutes extra (I think it's because he feels sorry for me). I always walk away from our encounters looking as if I took a beating to my back (my boyfriend definitely got some glares when we were at the pool the day after my first visit with Tommy), but the next day, I am always feeling 110%. My back spasms have also stopped after my first appointment here. I take off one star though on behalf of my boyfriend's experiences. While I am more than pleased with Tommy's skills, my boyfriend has never found a masseuse there he is comfortable with. My boyfriend is a big guy with several good-sized knots ins his back as well, and none of his masseuses are able to apply the pressure he needs. One masseuse had even tried standing on his back after the poor woman could not apply any more pressure, but it just made his experience more uncomfortable. I think I'm going to have to share Tommy with him! read more

In this instance, no massage trumps a bad massage any day! If in doubt, choose any place but here unless you want a world of hurt. And I do mean hurt---elbows banging and shoving into your bones forcefully. Oh, and FYI---if that wasn't enough reason --they don't want your business. When I was done he says "why didn't you choose x place, they are ranked higher than us as top massages" ?!! Pricing--arbitrary. Listed as 50 an hour. He chose 60 for me. Scheduling--just don't do it. I scheduled a time and was asked to do a different time. I was still told --"we don't usually do this late" And "oh sometimes this late just for people coming after work"---yet, their website and system states late hours. All the same--this place is a big no. Bad massage, and 100% inconsistencies across the board! read more

This was the most unprofessional experience. The masseuse, Angela, seem friendly but her skills and service was lacking. I did not feel relax nor did i got my money's worth. Another woman checks me and my friend in and that was it. I assume my masseuse name was Angela because i got an email to confirm my session. Her and the other lady held a convo in another language the whole time. It felt like she was rubbing lotion on me the whole time instead of massaging. It was so uncomfortable. Another incident that made me uncomfortable was that she left the room with the door open while i was half dress laying on the table. So inappropriate. I will not come here again. read more

I have gotten many massages from both national and local places and this one is certainly the best I have received!!! I purchased 3 90-minute massages on Groupon for a great price so was not necessarily expecting that much but for the value, I thought there could be no harm. I had my first massage experience there yesterday and boy, all I can say is that once my Groupon package runs out, I'll be going there as a regular client. The massage parlor is extremely clean and well kept - not like some other places. There is soft music playing and the entire place seems private and calming. After filling out the paperwork, my massage therapist (Barry) took me back to the room, lit candles, turned on light music, and had me undress and lay on the table for him to come back. Once undressed and laying on the table, he came back in and got right to work. I appreciated that I was able to have this massage in the nude and not have to be covered - it made the experience much more enjoyable. He took the time to listen to what problem areas I had and then focused on those particular areas. I could tell he knew how to best focus on problem areas and give them the attention they need. After half the time on my stomach, he then had me flip over and then focused on my front side. While being a complete professional, he knew how to provide complete relaxation to my entire body. Once done with the 90-minute massage (which flew by because it was so good), he then gave me a robe to go to the next room for a table shower. (This was an add-on that I had purchased in addition to the Groupon) He prepared the table and then had me lay down for my shower. He spent about 10 minutes on each side of my body and took time to provide a completely relaxing and invigorating experience. Once done with the shower, he had me dress and then after paying for the shower and tip, I was done. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!!! I'm counting down the days until my next massage and table shower. Once my Groupon package has run out, I will be back as a loyal customer! read more

I purchased the 2 60 minute massages for one person from Groupon. Called to make an appointment for both a deep tissue massage and a Thai massage back to back for myself for this afternoon and the spots were available. When I told the guy setting my appointments that I had the Groupon he said I couldn't use both hours in the same day...why not? I would have to come back another time for the second appointment. I paid for 2 hours, and I want both in the same day. It doesn't state that anywhere in the fine print that I read before purchasing it. He told me to call Groupon about it. I did and the person I spoke with said it's not in their fine print so they should honor the Groupon. I paid for 2 hours and it only says the same person must use both hours. Called the business back and told them what Groupon said. Was told well I need to investigate and will have to call you back. I asked if it would be in the next few hours because I needed to book the appointments and was told oh, I probably won't be able to get you in today. Needless to say, I cancelled the purchase and got my money back. Such a bad way of doing business. They lost a potential repeat customer over something very stupid. read more

I just called to see if anyone was available for a foot massage and the gentleman that answered the phone said, "can you do the body massage instead?" I proceeded to ask how much that cost and he replied, "$50." I go very often to get massages so I wasn't looking to spend that much so I said I'd rather have the foot massage. He responded with, "sorry we don't have anyone." That's it. Nothing about someone being available at a later time or anything. Does that mean they no longer do foot massages or what? I guess they are not looking for business. read more

Great customer service and experienced masseuse. Lilly was great and had my tense back and shoulders feeling much better by the time I left.

Got a 60 min deep tissue with Sophia earlier today. It was one of the best massages I had in awhile. The only thing I didn't like was the room isn't fully enclosed so you can pretty much hear everything going on in the place. The front door has a bell/chime and every time someone came in or out it is so loud. I didn't come in for a relaxing massage so I concentrated more on breathing through the deep massage where it could get painful then let the outside noise bother me too much. So if you want super quiet and relaxing place try elsewhere. I'll be back to get my neck and shoulder loosen up again soon. read more

Very relaxing. The massage is done in a big room with 4-8 chairs, dim lighting and soft music. I've tried other places in Chinatown and I think the masseuse here was more experienced in pressure points because he would focus on areas that he could feel knots or were tense. After massaging your face, head, shoulders and arms, he moves to your feet. Then you flip over and the massage ends with your back and legs. read more

I enjoyed a table shower before my theraputic massage. I was scrubbed, head to toe, with a mildly abrasive soap then rinsed with warm water..It made me feel like royalty and was both relaxing and stimulating at the same time....this was followed by a full body massage designed to relieve pulled muscles, in my should, lower back and buttocks. They honored my request for 'no draping'...if you can allow for it this makes for a better massage as no time is wasted re-positioning the sheet, etc. I will be back. read more

The owner is a scam artist. If you've purchased Living Social or Groupon deals for this place, the owner will ask when you book the appointment. If you have a voucher, he will say they are quite busy and can you call another time. He says you have plenty of time to redeem, but they are always busy if you're a voucher carrier. I booked an appointment with his receptionist and when I showed up with voucher in-hand, he says they are too busy. Simply a crook and very dishonorable! read more

My wife and I found this place accidentally and since then, we have become their loyal customers and never went back to any massage chain. Simply put, there is no comparison between awesome massage (especially Tim) and other places. When we started to add massage for healthy living, we had in mind the massage sessions should be therapeutic first, not only for relaxation. With that in mind, we tried out different national chains and kept the membership over the years. However, once we found Tim and CiCi at Awesome massage, we abandoned our family membership and switched here completely. One good reason is that for comparable price, you are not required to commit any membership. Tim seems to be a perfectionist in that he will not stop until he solves your problem ! I think this is the best place in town if you have back or muscle problems from sports injuries or just day-to-day activities. I have serious chronic upper back problems from years of swimming in the past and leg muscle problems form my hiking and skiing days. My wife has chronic lower back problem. Both of us have seen much improvement after we started to come here. They are healers rather than masseuses. Highly recommended ! Thank you guys ! read more
