I use Awards by Navajo a few times a year for engraving projects, and they consistently deliver outstanding service. While I'm not one of their biggest customers, they always make me feel like a priority. Steve is efficient, responsive, and highly collaborative throughout the process. On the rare occasion when something didn't meet our expectations on the first try, he made it right without hesitation. Over the years, I've tried several different engraving shops, but after discovering Awards by Navajo, there's no reason to go anywhere else. read more

Steve is the best! My husband recommend I try out awards by Navajo when I needed some lapel pins for my promoting 8th graders. He has always used them for plaques and name pins and all kinds of different awards and trophies, and raved about the quality and the speed in which he got his different awards. Steve helped me with the design and the timeline and was so straightforward about everything! My students are going to be so excited about their lapel pins at promotion! read more

Very professional award services and affordable prices makes Awards By Navajo the place to go. I am very good friends with a high profile lady in the Adult Industry, and knew she was up for several awards. My friend and I decided to collaborate on a surprise gift for her of a personalized award to show her how much she means to us and to show our appreciation. Big shout out to Steven Alland for making a remarkable award that in my opinion is better looking than the actual award, and for being real cool and non judgemental about the whole situation. VERY professional, and much appreciated.Alice absolutely loved our award and I am including what she said to us that our award is RIGHT IN FRONT and it means more to her than anything else! She means the World to us,and just to hear that response makes my heart smile! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Awards By Navajo to anyone with a big event or Awards ceremony,or just because! Let someone you know how much you care! Rock on guys! read more

Best engraving in San Diego, hands down! Steve is very accommodating to your needs and ideas. He can do just about anything - I use him regularly. Extremely honest and reliable. Highly recommended! read more

I highly recommend Awards by Navajo. I received a priceless picture for Christmas and placed it in custom frame. I felt that a engraved tag below the picture would be a great idea. I searched around and found Awards by Navajo. I walked in and was greeted by Steve. I told him what I was looking for and he recommended a perfect idea. Also, a real reasonable bargain. I agreed with his recommendation and about 2 hours later, he called me and informed that it was completed. I walked in with the frame and he even placed it on the frame for me. Awesome. Thanks Steve. I will be returning for all of my engraving, plaque, and picture needs. read more

This place is by far the best as far as customer service and prices! I got something from "things remembered" and the engraving was going to be three times what I paid here. So glad someone from work told me about them- I will most definitely come back for future engravings and tell my family & friends. read more

This is a THE place to go if you need a plaque, a trophy or something special for that someone special. I met with the owner, Steve who had some good ideas and helped me with the right kind of plaque. The price was right and the item came out looking great. I searched yelp for "engraving" nearby and this place showed up. I had two different trophies engraved. The service was friendly, professional, and affordable. Great prices, actually. Turnaround was two days. He also matched the previous fonts (from a different engraver) perfectly. I couldn't ask for better service. Don't waste your money at places like Things Remembered; support this great local business. read more

I could not be happier with finding Awards by Navajo! The owner (I assume) made great suggestions for matching the existing faceplate on my trophy and replacing another hideous portion I had done by Al's Sport Shop. It was ready a couple days later and is PERFECT - we now have the classiest beer pong trophy ever. Basically, ditto to everything in Crystal C's review. read more

I've moved all of my business to Steve because of his responsiveness, timeliness, fair pricing and quality. I can't recommend him highly enough. I'm a tough customer and it takes a couple different iterations for me to get to something I like, sometimes changing my mind back and forth. Steve was pleasant and timely throughout. He also helped accommodate some of my more harebrained ideas and offered suggestions that made the trophy even better and more "complete" (basically matching the font and color with that of he trophy topper). If you're working on a legacy trophy or plaque that will need periodic updating, be sure to ask the trophy vendor how much it will cost for future updates. Don't let them fool you with how complicated it can be to make a new plate--Steve was able to make plates at less than a quarter of the price than a competitor in a different part of town. Glad I switched. 5 stars for ABN! read more

I needed three awards that would be presented to corporations, recognizing them for a job well done. I called around and immediately noticed the focus on attention to detail and professionalism of the owner/operator. He provided me with options and I ended up choosing three plaques that had customized engraving. I was provided with a "draft" of the design via email and allowed to make last minute adjustments. In a matter of a couple of days, they were ready to be picked up. I couldn't be happier with the quality and look of the end product. Beyond being priced below the competition, the customer service, expertise and focus on end product was excellent. These awards were a "hit" with my team as well as the recipients. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AWARDS by NAVAJO!!!! read more

I have worked with Steve with Awards by Navajo for many years for business. He had always been so wonderful to work with so he was my first call when I needed something done for me personally. He was able to turn around engraved champagne flutes in less than four hours for a friends surprise wedding. The quality is always amazing as is the customer service. I asked if I could leave a tip and he turned it down. So I felt compelled to at least write a glowing review. Thanks Steve!!! read more

Did a good job price was fair and were nice enough. Only thing is I wish I had gotten a call saying they were done, the guy lied when asked about it and said he called and left a message and clearly did not. sounded like he got nervous with me asking. I had forgotten about my work and only remembered when I drove by and saw the place. Good thing I drive by or I would have forgotten all together about it. read more

I came here to have an ornament engraved and a trophy made. Both were ready as promised & the price was VERY reasonable. The store where the ornament was purchased wanted 3x's for engraving then what I was charged @ Navajo Engraving. The trophy was a 'gag' gift that is being proudly displayed. I highly recommend this family business for all of your trophy and engraving needs. Very friendly service and the owner is very capable and skilled at what he does. read more

Fantastic service and quality. I am a confessed bargain shopper, and it is amazing to find a trophy and plaque shop that is not only priced right, but also produces top-notch quality. The owner really seems to understand that his product is meant to commemorate something special, so he takes the time to understand what you want and how you want it. Nice to have found the right place. I don't do awards or engraving very often, but now I know where to go! read more

Great customer service. Great little store. Very helpful, & great prices. A family business which I'm thrilled to support.

After several experiences with mediocre engraving shops, I'm very pleased that I've found these folks. They do great work very quickly and at a great price. The attention to detail and pragmatic approach to their work is refreshing as well. Steve is an upbeat, helpful guy who seems to really like what he does. He hustles to get work done in a timely manner and always makes you feel like he values your business. read more

I chose Awards by Navajo to do some custom engraving on a perpetual trophy and on some stainless steel tumblers based on the reviews I read on YELP. There is a reason why Steve Aland is a Five Star review business. He listens to what you want to do, offers suggestions based on his expertise and completes and delivers the finished product in a more than reasonable time period at a fair price. The final product Steve delivers must meet his vision of excellence and the customer's expectation. He does not disappoint. He has my business going forward and if you are looking for custom engraving and/or a very nice selection of trophy products, make Awards by Navajo your one stop shop. read more

I needed an award plaque for a co-worker who was transferring to another agency. Steve was able to provide an example of what they were able to produce and the turnaround to make it was quick. Five star rating with no reservations whatsoever. read more

This place is unreliable. They were recommended to me, so I bought an award and had it engraved for a colleague's retirement party. The owner was helpful with selecting the award and did a good job engraving it. However, he failed to meet the deadline and failed to notify me when it was ready for pick up. When I called him with my concern, he reluctantly admitted to mixing up the dates, but never offered an apology. The award I ordered will have to be presented to my colleague a few days later, after her special moment and not the way it was intended, in front of all her colleagues, family and friends. How disappointing! I will never use this place again and will not recommend it to others. read more
