My auto dealership no longer provides rental cars due to some taking advantage of that service by trashing and total'ing the cars. Gee, thanks Hyundai customers. So here we are getting back to the car rental place they referred. Ok, getting a car and picking it up was a breeze. It helps to have all your info in order and an established relationship with this shop. Or so I thought. Ok, so since my car issues were covered by warranty so was my car rental fees. Love Hyundai's warranty. So that means I had to return the rental car since the dealership got my car fixed right away. So I'm on the freeway about 15minutes away from their shop and I know I'm cutting it close so I decide to call them to give them a heads up. The guy who answered was like, "Well we close at 5." Me: "I know this, that's why I'm calling. I drove over an hour to get here and I'm getting off the exit right now and I'm basically right around the corner." You know what he asks me? This guy says, "Ok well can you pull over and read me the card info?" Me all dumbfounded and shocked. "Well if you want me to pull over and do all that, you might as well wait me for so it would be easier to just swipe my card." Duh, right? He acquiesced. So since the auto dealership is going to pay for everything, I'm going to get a credit. I have to cover the taxes and some fees, but the dealership will cover the daily rental fee. This guy, not the manager, seemed all pushed out of shape. On a Tuesday? Really? I got my credit, but I was not happy on the inital suggesstion that I pull over off the freeway to give him my card info over the phone. Not concerned at all for my safety, all about money, money, and let's speed this up so I can end my shift type of vibe. I think this guy's customer service skills needs a refreshing and ya'll need to do better for a paying customer with excellent pay history. I'm just saying. See you some more on Yelp 2026, but at this place...I don't know, I just don't know. Time to share....Go.

But lunch is from 12:30 to 3:30. When I showed up to get my 2pm rental, I was surprised to find a sharpie hand written note that they closed for lunch, for 3 hrs. Further, when hertz does not have easy human interaction on chat or phone, and hours are posted in app, the expectation is that there is enough staff to cover lunches. The system reported that I picked up the car but I couldn't. The human when I was finally able to get the local staff on the phone actually justified that they "need to take a lunch!" Like I was asking him to fast for a week. He tried to justify that 3 hrs for lunch is reasonable. I'm not a monster, obviously the office needs to drive to Bakersfield to eat or cooks lunch in a slow cooker. Buy a microwave for this office. Or just close it.

It was clean, only had 3,000 miles, and we were in and out quickly. Drop off was even easier. My deposit was applied back to credit card within a couple days, and everything went exactly as planned. We needed a very specific vehicle for our situation and the exact one we rented was available upon arrival. I know this *should* always be the case, but stuff happens that's out of the control of these companies. I was very happy with the service, price, vehicle, and overall experience I had at this rental agency. While I am not loyal to any particular agency when I need a rental, and go based on convenience and pricing, I would not hesitate at all to rent from here again.

This is a bunch of guys walking around luxury car dealerships in Visalia, CA and taking photos, then selling the pictured vehicles using the closed dealer's name. See the pictures of the scammers in the reflection of the cars. The FBI, and other national investigative agencies are working on this and have been notified.

Tables and chairs are always clean , this time around we got two heaters both with full propane tanks. During the party we had more people than we anticipated so I gave Arturo a call to see if he could deliver extra chairs/tables which he came through. Very great communication from delivery schedule to pick up. Definitely recommend!!
