My Catch-22 with writing a review about this place is this is where I have to go to rent a car for…read morework (i.e., my company has a corporate rate). Staff is generally nice, but the cars are meh. Since this is a franchise location, they really do cut corners wherever they can. I recommend doing a walk around the vehicle before you leave. I usually sit in my car to adjust the mirrors and check the radio and climate control and sometimes find something else. Pay attention to the following (because I experienced it at one time): - Check the tires - Check to see if any indicator lights are on - If the gas tank is full. This is a pet peeve of mine because I ALWAYS get the car partially full and I end up returning the car completely FULL (more range then when I received it). Of course they tell you that you can return it at the same level, but when you're filling up the tank, how do you know when to stop it? Seriously, I should be getting cash back for all the times I filled up their tank. The cars are generally dirty. They put a little effort to clean the inside, but ignore the outside. The last car I had was completely dirty on the outside, that I had to: 1) Fill up the gas tank 2) Clean the windows twice because the bug crap wasn't coming out The other thing was my last car was from Florida. It was a fully loaded VW Tiguan which I would have enjoyed had it not been deodorized or fumigated. I swear, if I don't get COVID, I was feeling sick from the fumes and drove with the windows down.

When we picked up the truck, after the technician completed the inspection (without marking anything on the slip!), we walked around the truck to inspect it again and found that the gas cap was MISSING! This was literally 5 minutes after he supposedly did his inspection. We went back to the office and were told that WE were to buy the gas cap and then call customer service to get a refund. We were in a hurry and did not have time to wait for another truck so we bought the gas cap. When we picked up the truck, the tech told Nitha and us that gas was 5/8 full but neither personnel marked this on the form. Then when we returned it, we were told the gas was originally full - fortunately, the manager where we returned it believed us as he had dealt with this location before. Additionally, we were told by Nitha that the toll charge would be charged directly on our credit card, but when we got the statement, we were billed an additional $13.99 for each toll which we had to call and pay. Make sure you check the rental and mark EVERYTHING on the rental slip so they cannot lie and charge you additional upon return. I will be filing a BBB complaint against this business for their dishonest business practices.

Had a genuinely great experience with this Enterprise location…read more I was renting a car while my own vehicle was in the shop, and the entire process was the model of efficiency. No pressure, no awkward insurance upselling, no time-wasting -- just quick, professional service. What really impressed me was what happened when my car repair finished earlier than expected. I was technically a couple of hours into the second rental day when the shop called and said my car was ready. I called Enterprise to ask whether I'd be charged for the full second day. Without hesitation, they told me to bring it in -- and didn't charge me for the second day at all, even though I was already into it. No hassle, no fine print. They also drove me to pick up my own car, which was very appreciated. The SUV I was given was in excellent condition -- clean and comfortable. Special thanks to Beau, who handled everything smoothly and made sure I was taken care of. Friendly, upfront, efficient, and genuinely looking out for the customer. Really impressed.

When they were deciding which car to give us the two employees started a whispering to each other. After we got the vehicle and while loading the trunk with our luggage, I NOTICED A LARGE DING ON THE REAR GATE AND TOOK A PICTURE OF IT. It was a good move because they tried to charge us for the damage when we returned the vehicle. This time there was only one guy running the place and there was a long line of people waiting for cars to be returned by previous renters so they get their reserved car. Avoid Enterprise San Ramon.

Four weeks in advance, I reserved a SUV for my husband to drive while we were moving what I…read morethought would be a few boxes. We were given a Hyundai Sonata and told, "It's on the far side of the lot." (More about that later.) I was not happy! Luckily, my husband drove our SUV and I was able to use the Sonata. The biggest problem was I couldn't get a straight answer if the company was charging us for the SUV (a higher priced vehicle) or the Sonata. Upon returning the vehicle, I said I wanted the correct price for the Sonata. Again, double-talk about changing inventory, availability due to "problems in the world." Notice the quote marks. That's what the (presumed) owner said. When I said, "I don't know what world problems have to do with renting a car," he left the room and slammed the door behind him. The saving grace for a 2-star review is the young woman who checked in the car. (I know, I'm generous.) She (supposedly) charged us the Sonata rate and applied a $20 discount. She did have to make a call to get approval to do that. I told her that was all I wanted and thanked her for her help. More about taking possession of the car: No introduction on how to use a car I've never driven. Unfamiliar gear shift, the control panel is all new to me. I spent about 20 minutes aquatinting myself with how to operate the car. I did enter my phone so I could use Car Play map. There were previous drivers shown on the screen. I asked to have my fake name removed from the list and was told that would be taken care of by the technician. Right. Do not trust this company to be fair or honest. Call ahead to confirm you will receive the vehicle requested. Or better yet, use a different company.

If I could give a negative star I would. Imagine you book a 16 foot truck online. You have it…read morereserved for your moving day with a confirmation number and all. The day of your move you get a call from Budget saying that they don't have a truck. It gets worse. They then tell you that they have a 26 foot truck in a city 20 minutes away and ask you to take it like they are doing you a favor. I didn't want a 26 foot truck or I would have booked a 26 foot truck. I reserved a 16 foot truck. Now I am left scrambling and thankfully Penske had one available. AVOID at all costs. This place is the worst customer experience you could imagine and the worst management.
