    The world needs more people like Colleen…read more My mother and I had been traveling all day; by the time we landed in Fort Smith, my mother no longer could walk. I went to get her car, and it wouldn't start. The battery was dead, and I couldn't get the key out of the ignition. Colleen, the Enterprise representative, didn't hesitate to help me with my mother's car. Colleen took the time to get her vehicle and jump the dead battery. What a wonderful person. My son-in-law has been renting cars there for the last few years using only his debit card. Evidently Enterprise has changed their policies recently, and he was not able to rent a car Christmas Eve to go pick up my granddaughter from Minnesota. He called me at five minutes till three, (Keep in mind they closed at 3) and did not know what he was going to do. I spoke to the young lady on the phone & told her I could be there in 10 to 15 minutes to put it on my credit card, she agreed to stay after her shift on Christmas Eve to make sure he was able to get a car in order to go pick up our granddaughter. Who does that? Nobody else would do that on a regular day, much less Christmas Eve. By the time I got there and we got all the paperwork completed it was 3:45. I am sure she had another 15 minutes of work to do to close out her shift so she took a minimum of an hour out of her Christmas to help us. I only wish I had gotten her name. She deserves recognition for being an outstanding employee and all-around great person. I know she said she had not been there very long, but if Enterprise knows what they're doing, they will definitely keep her around.

    Do not use this location. There are only a few rental car businesses in fort smith but I can only…read moreimagine they are all better than Hertz. Here is why. We only needed the rental car as a result of auto accident. The insurance made all of the arrangements for pick-up. At 8:00 am we dropped our family car off at the repair shop then drove my wife over to pick up the rental she would be using for the week. To our surprise, we were told there were no cars available but they would let us know when one came in. I asked why they didn't call us or the insurance company to let us know. Response was they called my number but got voice mail. Maybe or maybe but there was no message and this was an issue. About 1:00, still no call from Hertz about the car so I called them back telling them that if we didn't have something by 3:00 (wife needed to pick up the kids) I would be canceling the reservation and getting the rental from a competitor. They finally came thru and to their credit they did actually deliver the vehicle to my house. The tank was only 3/4 full when we took possession. Upon return, everything was smooth.....so we thought. About a week later I see an unauthorized charge to my credit card with a name I didn't recognize. After about 30 minutes on the phone with my bank, we discovered it was this Hertz location using the business name of some currier service. I called Hertz to inquire about the charge. Response- insurance said they were only paying 80% so they put the other 20% on my account. When asked why they didn't notify me before applying the charge they said because the insurance company said they would call me. To me, this excuse was weak since it was not the insurance company that withdrew money from my bank. Anyway it was in error and the next day the insurance company paid the 20%. It took another week and 2 more phone calls before Hertz reversed the charges to my account. Bottom line is that the company seems shady, lacks communication and does not deserve your business.
