Front wheel damages before I hired the car.To my surprise they sent a doc with fake signature of mine claiming I accepted this damages

Avoid this company or have regrets. Period. The worst car rental experience ever. The mafia like man who attended to me said he will give me auto against manual I paid for, at no extra cost, if I pay for extra cover which I was going to buy anyways. I took the car with many dents including alloy the front passenger side wheel (see photo). I took photos right at their car parking bays before driving off. I returned the car at Glasgow airport and returned the key through their drop box as their office was not open. To my surprise they sent me an email with a signature that was not mine indicating I accepted the damages on the car but will cost me £0. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. No damage occurred under my care. I have proof of photos on my iPhone with date stamps. They must have been charging uninsured persons large amounts for repair they never carry out. Fraud. Run and run away from this company. You have been warned.

Bald tire that blew out and had us stranded on side of road

You rented a vehicle to me and my family with bald tires. You put my family in danger as a tire exploded on the side of a narrow rural road on a Saturday with no services for over an hours drive. The cell service was spotty and it took several almost half an hour calling from every phone in the car to reach AA after being unable to reach Avis for help. After replacing the tire that exploded, the tire pressure light kept going off for all other tires. We had to stop at multiple gas stations along the trip to constantly fill them with air and when we called Avis- they wanted us to drive an hour out of our way to go to their nearest service station. This after the flat tire and subsequent tire pressure issues already made us miss out on part of our plans. I have been fighting with Avis on the phone for weeks just to have them say that they are sorry for my experience and that they won't reimburse me for the tire. I guarantee you they turned around and rented that same car with the same bald tires to someone else. What's it going to take, Avis? Someone driving off a cliff after their bald tires makes them swerve or hydroplane for you to listen? Never again. Don't rent from them! And check your tires!!! Refuse to leave until fixed. Oh! And if the tires weren't enough, multiple service lights (other than tires" pressure) turned on during our trip. Avis does not care about their customers.

What I paid to repair shop for actual tyre replacement

Rented a car in Scotland and got a puncture in the sidewalk of the tire. No spare, no inflation kit so Avis sent roadside assistance to put a spare then follow me to a repair shop where I had to pay for the tire. Get home from vacation and they hit me with the cost of the tire even though I already paid the shop directly for the same brand and size the car had on it. Also the car had lights on and sensors that didn't work the whole time. Terrible service and quality. Avoid and go to enterprise, I will.

I was referred to them through the visiting the UK Facebook group, everybody's recommendation was excellent, some said a little pricey, but the customer service, peace of mind and everything that went along with it made it all that more worthwhile. We rented a car, 9 days, picked up a Milton Keynes England, dropped off at Heathrow airport. Took the train from London, Steve. Our reservation guy even provided us with emailed instructions on how to get to the pickup, drop off locations and our hotel all by train until we picked up our car a few days after arrival. We out there for the full insurance even though our Visa card covers insurance, was not that expensive and worthwhile for the peace of mind. We had no mechanical issues, brand new Kia with about 15,000 mi on it. Was allotted 250 mi a day, we drove north all through Scotland, England, Wales and back to Heathrow with no issues. Definitely recommend this company if you want. Peace of mind and if you're all about customer service, which is extremely important when you're visiting a foreign country from your own. The guy who dropped us off at the airport from Heathrow was awesome as was Steve, our original guy we booked with. We opted for the dash cam and found that it did not have one when we went to drop the car off because we wanted the SD card which you are able to buy. When picking up the guy said there was one in there, pointing to the dashboard, not being familiar with their system. System I took his word for it. We truly wanted the dash cam so we can have a view of our last few hours of driving to take home with us. Other than that, absolutely perfect rental for us.

Unfortunately we had to return the car a bit later than expected and were charged an extra full day's fee, but since this was a last minute change on our end, I understand. It cost about $72 USD per day, which I thought was a great value. Checking in and out was relatively easy through Arnold Clarke, their contractor. I didn't like that no one welcomed us when we came in, leaving us to stand awkwardly until they decided to pay us attention. Drop off was easy and they shuttled us to the airport. Forgot to take a picture of the car but we did love taking it up to the Highlands.

They up charged on everything for insurance which I was sold for coverage. No one was at the parking center to check out the car for me, so I just left. When I retuned 24 hours later the gal inspected the car with a microscope and told me i caused a small scratch on the front fender. I drove to my hotel and back without incident, so I knew I didn't do it. After a fair amount of arguing I said OK, I paid for the insurance. At that point they informed me I only purchased the basic coverage and not the full coverage and they needed to charge me my $2000 deductible. What a scam these guys are, I have never seen a rental car company act this way. Luckly I also purchased the insurance coverage from Expedia and hopefully they will go after these crooks! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE GUYS!!!!!

Cautious by…read morenature and not inclined to let myself be taken for a ride, I had to admit that I had been cheated and conned. I hadn't read the previous comments about the outrageous methods used by this company to extort money from you, but I was wrong. I can confirm what other victims have said. When you book, nowhere is it noted that you will be asked for a guarantee of £1500 if you do not agree to take out insurance at £25/day. You are simply told to bring a debit card for the deposit with a sufficient reserve. It's only at the counter, after you've collected the cost of the rental, that they tell you about additional insurance that you can take out (even though, when you booked the vehicle, you already had to choose whether you wanted cover over and above the third-party insurance already provided. When I confirmed that I didn't want to take out additional insurance, I was asked to put down a deposit of £1,500 by credit card. Bad luck for me, I was £15 short (my card has a maximum limit) of the £1500 required, so I offered to pay the balance in cash (they don't take cash). I offered to use a second credit card to cover the balance, but they refused, pointing out that it had to be deposited on the same card in the hirer's name (my second card was also in my name but had a €1250 limit). I clearly expressed my dissatisfaction, but the very unpleasant attendant told me that I could leave on foot and give up the car if I didn't like it. But if I cancelled on the day of the rental, I would not be reimbursed. As a result, I had to pay for the insurance hand and foot. In the end, we drove 183 miles more than the 100 miles per day we had planned. We had to make up almost £60 (£0.3 per mile) on the day of our return. In addition, we received a car that had not been washed, had 12,000 miles on the clock and was already full of dents everywhere (I filmed the vehicle from every angle when I received it to avoid being blamed for any damage, as I have read in other comments from ripped-off customers). So I thought I was renting a vehicle (the smallest in the range) at a democratic price for £130 for 7 days, but in the end it cost me £330. So go for another, better-known company with a trusted reputation. I would add that this company changes of name and is now called Drivalia... but the company's reputation will probably have led them to change their name to cleanse themselves of all these comments from abused customers. So in conclusion, be careful if you go through them anyway, and if you can, run away and never set foot there...

We did add in insurance directly from Europcar just in case since we were in another country. Unfortunately, there was no way to reason with them--they insisted I make a new booking for the following day. As a result, I ended up spending €100 for a car I never used, plus another €70 on a taxi and bus just to collect the new booking. On top of that, I had to pay an additional €104 for the new car reservation. When I arrived at the desk, they told me the car I had originally booked wasn't available. They offered me an upgrade for just £20. I refused, and they gave me an old car with a strong, unpleasant smell.
