I've had great customer service in the Malibu location - that's one star. Their stuff is SUPER cute - that's another star. But the quality is terrible. I wash by hand in cold water and both the rainbow and the bright colors bleed onto the rest of the fabric and there is pilling. I can't even wear my stuff anymore after wearing maybe a handful of times. The sad thing is that people will continue to buy because the stuff is so cute and this bad quality will continue to sell (and at such a high price for what you're getting) so nothing will be done to change it. I instantly fell in LOVE with their buttery soft clothes I wanted to buy everything in the store! The flagship store is filled with clothes galore and the guys and gals working that day were genuinely nice people who helped me find the perfect sweatshirt and sweatpants. California has always been my "happy place." So bringing a few Aviator Nation gems home to Chicago reminds me of all things California. Living in the Midwest we don't have anything that even remotely resembles the brain child of Paige Mycoskie-Aviator Nation. Lucky me....they have a website. I have place 3 orders in the last 3 months...kinda addicted! Each time was a quick and easy transaction and my goods arrived at my door in a week. I would open up my box and see an instant ray of rainbows and happiness. With each order I had to do an exchange/return and it's was a breeze. I was lucky enough to get connected to Jobi one day when I called with a question and she makes it all easy. Jobi is well informed about AV products and helps me get a better idea of size, fit, and color--it's so hard to tell when shopping on the computer. Jobi is my go to girl when a need an Aviator Nation fix. Aviator Nation....keep doing what you are doing by bringing a little (a lot) of color to my world. read more

By far the absolute worst customer service. Smug hipsters that won't even help you. I bought a $850 jacket, before tax. For my wife for Christmas and that's on me. But after my experience there I almost wanted to go back for a refund. You would think after spending $900 + after tax they would treat you with some decency. I guess I needed to spend more than that. Totally ridiculous. I asked if my wife could come in and exchange for a different size if need be. After reviewing their delayed shipping notice, I reached out to customer service since the quoted shipping time had already come and gone. I was told my order would be shipping ASAP and I would receive it by the end of the week. Unfortunately, shipping my purchase "ASAP" has only consisted of printing a shipping label because the package has yet to move since I received tracking 2 business days ago. I am in love with my zip-up hoodie. I live in Chicago and stumbled across Aviator Nation online. Hoodie was delivered to my office and immediately coworkers were trying it on. Cuffs are weird in that they are crazy tight. Hoodie is supposed to be unisex but I think these cuffs would be uncomfortably tight on a dude's wrists. Docked a star because even after paying almost $10 in shipping and another $3 in handling, took almost two weeks to be delivered. read more

I am an avid lover of sweatpants and Cali Casual Wear. I work from home so my uniform is basically Aviator Nation or Alo. I own around 4 sweatshirts and 2 hoodies from Aviator Nation. I love their style - its so unique. Yes its expensive - but the products last forever and the stylings cannot be found elsewhere. Their flagship on Abbot Kinney smells yummy, and is adorable and cozy. Young hot surfer kids man the place. their customer service is stellar! I wanted to take advantage of an online flash sale offering 10% off, but wanted to apply my store credit and couldn't do so online. I emailed Curtis in eCommerce Customer service, but he was on vacation. He emailed me right back that following Monday - and even thought the flash sale was done he applied the 10% off and deducted my store credit! Awesome solution oriented customer service. Out of all the stores on Abbot Kinney this one ranks the lowest in customer service. In fact customer service is non-existent here. I have walked into this shop a total of 4 times and each time I have walked out thinking the same thing and wondering why I even bother wasting my time and money. Don't expect to be greeted the moment you walk in the door(or at all), or to be asked if you need help while you are shopping. Besides the fact their clothes are made in LA, it is necessary that they speak to their product because the quality is not "amazing" where it can sell itself. I can think of a couple other stores on Abbot Kinney that have amazing, easy to wear clothing also made locally, minus the crappy customer service and A LOT more bang for your buck. I went to shop here last year with my son and racked up a bill worth $550, however before I walked out I realized that one of the items scanned incorrectly. A tank top instead of the price tag being $50+ something, it scanned at about $120. I pointed this to the guy and he said he would call someone because he was new and didn't know how to do this. He called another store and supposedly got help from another guy and gave me a new receipt. However, the credit or the change didn't reflect on my cc statement. I called again and this time left several messages to their manager Samantha. I explained the situation and found the transaction and promised a credit that day. Of course I forgot about it until early this year when I saw my year-end-summary. I tried calling again and no one picked up the phone so I sent an email via their website. Anyway, Samantha (manager) responded and said she will investigate. I sent an email almost every week since mid-March and she never sent another email. I know it's only a $60 difference but man, do your jobs! The hoodies and tees they are selling are already a rip off and there's no need to steal from your customers, because that's what you're doing! STEALING! Unfortunately, I was dumb and waited this long and my credit card company cannot help me because it's over 60 days. I'm never shopping here again! I'll be send a complaint to the BBB. read more

This store makes me happy. It reminds me of the kind of clothes I got locally growing up as a So Cal native.
