Great day trip. Fun store, museum and walking tour. The sprawling gardens are the best part. Massive trees and different stops with featured plants, bamboo, buildings and paths. Guests can drive or walk, we saw several small alligators and the beautiful egrets. You will know you are at the home of Tabasco as soon as you pull up

I love it here!!! This is the second time I've been here and it was just as cool as the first. The history on the island and Tabasco tour are like no other. It's an absolute must stop if you are in the area. Side note It was pouring down rain today and we never thought twice about not coming and we are from Southern California, so we hate rain

We used it so much that we were running low, so the next time we were in Louisiana, we stopped by Juneau's not once, but twice, hoping to find it again. Unfortunately, they were all out. When we got back home, we decided to do some detective work, and a quick Google search led us straight to the source. This place is a hidden gem! I've never seen anything quite like it. Here, you can create your own custom seasoning blends from scratch. They even personalize the labels on the bottles, which makes it feel extra special. It's not just about seasonings, though; you can also buy ingredients for making sausage, desserts, and so much more. There's an incredible variety of culinary goodies, and the prices are fantastic! We made sure to stock up on a few items, and I can't wait to experiment with them in the kitchen. My partner is especially excited to create her very own blend. Targil is definitely worth a stop if you're passing through--we'll certainly be back!

"My Favorite Breakfast Stop on Every Vacation!"…read more So fresh and so good -- this place never disappoints! It's my go-to breakfast spot every single time we come down for vacation. The boudin is always hot, delicious, and packed with flavor, and the boudin balls are a must-try. Nothing beats starting the morning here with great food and an ice-cold Coca-Cola. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a tasty, quick, and satisfying breakfast, this is the place. I absolutely love coming here!

We used to love driving here for the ride to get great boudin and spend a couple hundred dollars. Being disappointed, I called and spoke to one of the owners about my "crawfish" boudin and asked if they were experiencing a drought with their crawfish. He replied, no and that they actually put more crawfish in their boudin this time. I'm like sir, no way. I've been coming here since 2018 and I know the difference. There was more rice and seasoning as opposed to what it's advertised as. I mean, honestly, if he'd said yeah, we're experiencing the same 2024 crawfish season drought that has been happening everywhere because of the saltwater intrusion, then I could understand but to lie and deny the difference was asinine. I thought perhaps they have loads of crawfish frozen somewhere to avoid a drought but the difference between the prior year's crawfish boudin in shape, color and taste is very noticeable from the 2024's boudin. Today's boudin looks like red hot links on steroids minus the red color. C'mon, just be honest, sheeeesh! While the truth matters, I won't be back anymore. Take a look at the pics and you can see the difference. Today, I bought seasoned rice boudin and not crawfish boudin.

Our Daily Bread is a bakery, organic food store, restaurant, and health product store all combined!…read moreIt has been at its Florida Boulevard location for many years, but now also has a location at the Main Street Market Downtown. The Florida Boulevard location is the mothership though, where the baking and making occurs, and where the biggest selection of products can be found. I think they have a fine line of their own branded vitamins, supplements, and even preserves. I take their vitamins and a supplement on the daily, and I know they are the right formulas because these folks pay attention to the products that bear their name. You can find whatever vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other supplements you might want, in various brands and formulations. Then there are the groceries and food products, it is a full-fledged old-school health food store. You can buy everything you might need here, in a nice small local store, run by friendly and helpful people who want to connect you with products that are good for you. It seems a better place to buy things that you need. But that's not all folks! Remember the name is Our Daily Bread, and boy do they have that as well as other baked products to enjoy. They have healthy hearty breads, from sweet to savory, in various forms from loaves to po-boy buns. Then there are cookies, muffins, and carob bars! So much baked goodness to choose from. And in recipes that are good for you, without all the additives and preservatives. Then there are the prepared foods. These include a soup of the day (roasted root veggie is my favorite), sandwiches made with their breads, and salads. Other options are also available, including healthy juices and smoothies, for those who prefer their nutrients in liquid form. Go shopping around lunch time and have a meal while you are there, you'll be glad you did!
