Nice store with affordable prices on some items; however, the frozen crawfish boudin balls were way too expensive for 6 balls, like $17. Today I went for my cracklin (Gratons) run and was able to get a barbecue plate lunch, too!! So to review this experience, I would say their barbecue plate lunch, was perfectly seasoned and well cooked. The staff here is very friendly. The crawfish boudin is good. They have a hometown feel to it, so you can also find local favorites such as popcorn balls, sweet dough pies, and those plank cookies. The meat is always nice looking and the butcher will assist you as needed. read more

You will not find a better seasoning anywhere! I used to work with a guy form down there and he always had this seasoning he put on almost everything he ate. One day I asked him about it and he said "I can't explain, you'll just have to try it". So he gave me some and WOW this stuff is awesome. I never knew that tasting things tasted so good. I now order some of this whenever i'm low. I have turned my whole family on to this stuff. I have used it as a rub, in food and as a jerky seasoning. I have not found any better all around seasoning than: Billeaud's Season All. Give them a call and order a can or two for yourself...You'll be glad you did. I have them shipped to Colorado. This is one of my favorite places in the world. Billeaud's get my nod for best boudin. Without question. Yes, it is a Shell gas station, but the boucherie (est. 1889) predates the formation of Royal Dutch Shell (est. 1907) by 18 years. So the gas pumps out front are really just a curious side-business to the magic that goes on in the butchery. While I appreciate and will eat every morsel of our fine porcine friends, cracklins just aren't really my thing, but I am told by others that Billeaud's makes the best cracklins. I do keep a bag of those fine fried nuggets of goodness in my freezer to dice up and use to season some of the dishes I make at home (tip: try putting a few frozen cracklins in the food processor and adding that to your cornmeal when making cornbread). When you think about it, we're really lucky to have places like Billeaud's where we live -- Louisiana is a special place. And Billeaud's boudin is one of the reasons. read more

My Grandmother "Millie" McKnight use to live in the big 2-story house on corner next to Billeaud's Grocery. I shopped there many times over a 40 year period and always got excellent and friendly service. I've seen this store remodeled & upgraded to modern times on numerous accations, I remember when they added the Gas Pump out front. This is a Family owned & operated business since 1889 "WOW"!!!, you will certainly get the friendly service you would expect from a small town, and the Billeaud's will keep their store clean and updated to modern times. The Billeaud's are great people and this Grocery Store and the exceptional service it offers will always have a special place in my heart. read more
