Beauxdines - Crawfish Etoufee with a side order of fries. It was good but it needed a little more seasoning.

There's gulf fresh shrimp within 5 minutes of the location. I ate the crawfish Étouffée, It had somewhat of a fishy flavor. You could tell the crawfish were bagged and not fresh. My fries were warm only. I asked where the fish came from, most places advertise catfish now and give you Swai. I wasn't willing to take the chance. Our waitress said it could be a while before she could answer that question. The shrimp order were soft, not firm. You could tell they were cooked in the crawfish boil, and were gritty. We ordered a burger that was mediocre at best. Crawfish order was fine. There are plenty of places around serving fresh local seafood to be eating food sent from Argentina. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

We ordered boudin balls and I think it's called the Beauxdines special. I was supposed to come with both snow and Dungeness crab but they were out of dungeness. Our waitress was nice but very very busy which was understandable given the crowd. The crab was a little dry, they shrimp very big and juicy the crawfish were ok, I was expecting a little more spice. The corn and potatoes were also not spicy. The boudin balls were very large and those were good.

They also had Fresh Made Pork Rinds, no worries one day I'm leaving the pork alone I decided to get the bag of Fresh Pork Rinds. They had frozen meats to go and gumbo to go. We did not grab meat because we still have a whole before we head home, they do have you a frozen bag on sale right next to the freezer and Fridge for your convenience. You should definitely stop by while visiting Louisiana! The Service was quick and easy and the Ambience was casual and comfortable with outdoor seating. So after performing at New Orleans Jazz Fest this past weekend, we finally made a stop to see if it lived up to the praise. Pulling up, it honestly looks like a simple gas station pit stop--the kind of place truck drivers frequent (and judging by the steady flow of trucks, that checks out). But stepping inside was a completely different experience. It was clean, open, and surprisingly welcoming. Before even ordering, we found ourselves in the frozen section grabbing items to take home--boudin, deer sausage, gumbo... you name it, they had it stocked and ready. It already felt like one of those hidden gems you're glad someone put you on to. Then came the food. My boyfriend has been talking about their fried ribs for over a year, so of course we had to order them. He also got chicken wings, while I kept it light with Cajun boudin balls and green beans. First bite of the boudin ball? I was pleasantly surprised. Flavorful, slightly doughy, but still really good. But let's get to the star of the show... The fried ribs. As someone who's lived in Texas for over 20 years, I had never even heard of fried ribs. But baby... these were it. Perfectly seasoned all the way through, incredibly tender, and honestly--you could barely even tell they were fried. Just juicy, flavorful, and done right. This review is really just to say: fried ribs are real... and In-Laws does them right. If you're ever driving between Texas and Louisiana--somewhere around Lake Charles or Lafayette--do yourself a favor and stop here. 10/10. Highly recommend.

My dad was an avid fisherman and shrimper and I've probably eaten more seafood and fish in my life than most. This little market is clean, it smells clean and it appears spotless which is one of the utmost important parts of preparing and selling fresh seafood and fish. It's crawfish season and I couldn't be happier to be in Louisiana this time of the year, I came here the first time during my visit for 100 lbs of live crawfish and some fresh jumbo Gulf Shrimp. Let me tell you folks if you've never participated in a fresh crawfish boil it should be on your bucket list. We caught this delectable mud-bugs as a kid and always looked forward to catching enough to have a boil but going out to a local restaurant or bar that featured these boils was okay as well but nothing compares to doing it yourself. Well over the years the art of boiling hundreds of pounds of live crawfish became the norm, I'd put my son's skill set against anyone and he definitely has the set-up to do it right. The attached photos will show there's a lot more to it than simply boiling water, it really is an art - the perfect blend of seasonings, the perfect temperature and contact tine also known in these parts as "soak time". Add in lots of corn on the cob, red potatoes, onions and mushrooms and it's magical of course the key ingredients is always lots of family and friends. This place provided Grade A Crawfish when it comes to the size and quality, lots of places offer live crawfish this time of the year but I'm sold on this place. My second visit here was less focused I was preparing to go back to Florida and although crawfish was still in the forefront of my thinking I knew I'd never travel with an ice chest of live crawfish and in my neck of the woods freezing whole crawfish is not ever an option so I was looking for fresh clean tail meat frozen for use at a later date (mainly crawfish étouffée) but maybe I could get creative and make some crawfish boudin, jambalaya or a fresh stuffing for a nice redfish or snapper I'll figure it out. I am sure I'll be visiting this place as much as I can in the future, the friendly staff was very accommodating and being I have family in the area, shipping it from here to Florida isn't that big of a deal, it's impossible to cook traditional Louisiana cuisine without fresh ingredients from Louisiana so I'm fortunate that way. This place is a little out of the way but well worth the drive if anywhere in the Lake Charles area...
