I was told that was ok too! Reservations must be secured ahead of time as space is limited due to COVID guidelines. After you park, you need to wash your hands and the sanitizing station. Someone will turn on the water for you and give you a squirt of soap. You cannot take anything in the yoga tent area besides your yoga mat and towels. Purses, bags, jewelry, etc need to stay in your car or put on the picnic tables as the animals could get tangled in the handles/straps. We were also advised to put our hair in buns as the goats like to nibble. This was a very good tip! My session had twelve participants and we made a circle around the edge of the tent. Since we couldn't be six feet apart masks must be worn the entire time. I'm glad that was enforced. I had no idea there would be so many goats. I think there were at least 36 goats and two sheep and two dogs. I enjoyed watching them file into the gated area in a parade. They were all lined up one behind the other and just kept coming and coming! Some of the goats had a lot of energy and wanted to climb and nibble and others just came and laid down. There were a lot of the cute baby goats too. The time went by very fast as it was such an enjoyable experience. Washing hands must be done again at the end of class and if you want to support the farm you can buy duck eggs, goat milk soaps, and t-shirts.

I purchased a several class pack, and after just one class, I feel so good about my decision. The instructor was welcoming and offered great modifications to fit a diverse class. The class size was small, which I loved. I left feeling calmer and challenged in strength and balance - perfect for me! A few notes - not necessarily bad - just things I was surprised by. It's in a karate studio, so you're constantly staring at yourself in a mirror. I liked that for checking alignment, but also feel like it made people (me) more self-conscious and prone to compare, which isn't great for yoga. Also, the instructor didn't do yoga with us, which is totally fine. She led the class expertly, just something I've never experienced in a class before. I've been taking Paul Sobin's Continuing Basics series for about 6 months, and this review is…read morepurely about this series. I'm very new to yoga. There are free classes at my school, but I feel like you need a certain level of understanding of the poses before going to those classes. I'm the kind of person that would feel VERY uncomfortable mimicking the poses in class without learning the ABCs first, just for the sake of feeling sore afterwards. I'm also uncomfortable when the teachers talk way too much about their spiritual journey. I respect other people's spirituality, but when it's hovering over the ENTIRE CLASS, it can be very distracting. Paul Sobin solves both of my problem. In the class we would move from pose to pose, but he'd always mention the mistakes easily made. So when I'm doing the pose, even when he's not nearby to correct me, I could still keep in mind what to avoid. He offers a sweet mix of the physical and spiritual practice. For example when we start the slow breathing at the beginning of class, he'd mention how life is always busy and stressful, and it's good to take just a couple minutes to breathe slow and deep to give yourself a bit peace of mind. I really appreciate this. The series are pretty flexible - if you can't make it to the class you signed up for, you can do a make-up with any other series class Paul/ Sommer teach. Whatever leftover classes you haven't used in this series can be carried over to the next one. Students get a discount, which comes to $10 per class. This is quite an investment compared to the free gym, but I'd be happy to skip a weekend drink for this. People seem very nice, chill, and friendly as well. They also offer a week of classes free before the start of the series. The only con I can think of so far: The class can be crowded, to the point that the distance between you and the next mat is half a mat's width. Come 10 mins early to secure a good spot.

According to their website they designed their studio environmentally green including using only "non-petroleum soy candles". Music is played during class which is nice. The studio has high ceilings and tall windows, but really only comfortably fits about 15 people practicing at once, but they can squeeze in 45 or so with mats 3 inches apart from each other. They have a store in the front with lots of books, dvds, and clothing. With a name like Blue Lotus I was expecting to see a blue wall somewhere or a lotus candle, something that plays on their name in the decor, but I think they were going for a white space with minimal decor. The students that come here are all very friendly and chat with each other.
