Which is fine because it's policy but just letting you know in advance that if you need more flexibility around time this may pose as difficult. I had paid for three classes in advance as that is how they had it laid out at the time. They mentioned they would let the manager know to see if theres credit reimbursement but I havent heard anything since. I've only been to beginner classes but the instructors seem ok! Not super advanced but not super new either so would be according to each person's judgement.

I searched for yoga studios in the area and would love to try aerial in my lifetime! Fortunately, Pura Vida Studio is in close proximity. An excellent way to give a try with 10 classes excellent prices. The investment in oneself is priceless. The website is easy to navigate and the studio owner, Alicia, is extremely kind to answer questions prior to registration. A few email exchanges along with a follow up and 5 stars on customer focus was appreciated. I opted to begin by jump starting and return to yoga practice on Saturday, then Sunday....next one Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ... no option Thursday so I will have a rest day, then back Friday and so forth! A real kick starter to get my fitness goals back on track and strengthen my body, mind, heart, and soul. Pura Vida Studio is a lovely, well appointed, and top notch studio in the safety category. Class starts on time and door locked for client safety and security this is pivotal and while some may disagree, fundamental safety protocols are essential. Pura Vida Studio is clean and utilized space well and even offered a tour first day as new client. A sense of positivity in this local community. I enjoyed meeting the owner who set up the room prior to a full class with a motivational card which seems to be spot on and a delightful presentation and experience. Sunday was lovely from the moment entering and exiting the studio. Thank you Alicia and Staff..namaste, see you soon! If you are considering learning yoga or aerial, give it a try @ Pura Vida Studio judgement free zone too!

After doing some research, I found Bright Tree Yoga. They fit all the above requirements and had great reviews. I purchased a several class pack, and after just one class, I feel so good about my decision. The instructor was welcoming and offered great modifications to fit a diverse class. The class size was small, which I loved. I left feeling calmer and challenged in strength and balance - perfect for me! A few notes - not necessarily bad - just things I was surprised by. It's in a karate studio, so you're constantly staring at yourself in a mirror. I liked that for checking alignment, but also feel like it made people (me) more self-conscious and prone to compare, which isn't great for yoga. Also, the instructor didn't do yoga with us, which is totally fine. She led the class expertly, just something I've never experienced in a class before. I'll definitely be back to finish out my purchase package of classes, and probably even beyond that. Grateful to know about Bright Tree!

I enjoyed their 4:30 afternoon classes and some of their Saturday classes. Many Barre studios only give you access to one location, so I loved that they gave you access to multiple. They also had fun events to encourage you to work out more. They usually had different barre socks than the Kildare location, for $18 per pair. Their Pure Barre app made it easy to sign up or cancel classes too.

When I think of barre, I think of perky, petite young women gracefully poised beside it, doing…read morepliés and point... building up their slender legs to support and sustain them with an incredible combo of strength and flexibility. The workout trend Pure Barre is designed around getting that dancer body... But through totally different means! I'm talking dubstep. Blasting as girls place kickballs between their thighs, then squat, tuck, and tooch (to borrow a term coined by Miss Tyra). It's true: I never thought I'd be booty-tooching to Scrillex... outside the privacy of my own home. The workout started with some simple stretches and upper body routine, and some floor work in the form of plank and pushups. They only have dumbells in 2, 3, and 5 pounds. The short number of reps and low weight made this section of class completely un-challenging for me. But that disappointment was eased by the next part, where we stepped to the barre and focused on hips, thighs, and --as they like to delicately call it in Pure Barre-- "seat*." [*I don't have a seat. I have a bubbalicious boo-tay. Which is why I wanted to go to this class in the first place. So for clarification purposes in this review, my seat will instead be termed butt.] The most annoying thing for me was that the instructor demonstrated very few of the positions (perhaps due to lack of space on the barre); and it was difficult for me to follow her instructions some of the time. Many of the movements are so isolated, it's hard to look at a classmate and copy from what they're doing too. So parts of it did not feel tough... which left me wondering if I was doing the movement correctly. But other parts had my entire lower body shaking like a leaf, butt and quad muscles on fire. And I absolutely felt those muscles recovering the following 48 hours, so I know I did at least some of the things right! Class finished up with some ab work, which I also felt was too easy, and some finishing stretches. One hour flies by pretty quickly. And I can definitely see the appeal in a class that's shaped like this... getting all the core muscle groups into one workout. But I would personally prefer a class that focuses exclusively on the lower body, to round out my own exercise regimen and perhaps benefit my running as well. I did a drop-in class that was specially priced at $10; reasonable. (Their regular drop-in is $23.)
