After the installation which was perfect ,and fully aware of my O C D issues I had a few questions about the settings mode and things like that. Sean went outside w me to answer them. There was a question he couldn`t answer.....no problam. He said he wouod call Kenwood after the weekend and that I should call him on Monday which I did. I was told by the owner that he was very busy and there was a long wait on the kenwood customer service line.I called Kenwood myself and answererd my questions in 3 minutes.Maybe I didnt spend enough money. Received a remote start as a holiday gift and could never find the time to have it installed. Being without a car makes work impossible! I finally made an appointment - 6 weeks wait! They had a whole lot of remote starts to install. So be it ... The day arrived. I had orchestrated a drop off. A loaner car. A pick up. Walked in to give them my Key and gift box. And the gentleman at the counter says : "your appointment is for next week..." What a disaster. I can't believe I entered the wrong date in my phone calendar. I'm frustrated and annoyed. At myself. ( not his fault!) Then I ask if there is any way they can fit me in... Sean says he will try but cannot promise. They are booked solid and only one tech on duty. I'm hopeful- as orchestrating a day to do this again would be difficult. To my utter joy they called at 2:00 to say they were able to do it! I'm grateful beyond measure. They really came through. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I purchased a remote start from them and I wish I could rip it out and get my money back. The woman who "owns" it has no idea how to talk to people. She is rude and nasty and does not care about her customers at all. She also constantly changes the facts when it suits her. I was told I could bring my car early, at 8:30...nobody was there till 8:55. She says she never said that. When I was able to drop off my car, I was the first person there. I asked the guy if he had any idea when it would be done, he said no but maybe 5:30. Since I brought my car there early, I decided to call around 12:30 just to check if they had any idea of when it might be ready or if it was possibly ready now. She was VERY nasty and angry that I even called. She just kept on repeating herself over and over and talking over me and never listened to what I had to say. I was shocked and I hung up. I was planning to drive there after work, but I called first. Again, she was very nasty to me and wouldn't let me speak. She then put me on hold and never came back. I called again and she then accused me of calling her all day long and that I called her at 2 and demanded my car be done by 4:30 (ok I work till 5:00 lol). She told me I should come down there so she could explain it to me 10 more times so that maybe I could understand that they can have the the cars done at 8pm. I actually had to try to yell over her to get her to hear me. I told her at this point I don't want them to install it anymore, and to just give me a refund and I'll come to pick up the car...NOW ALL OF THE SUDDEN SHE TELLS ME THE CAR IS INSIDE BEING WORKED ON AT THIS VERY MOMENT! I find that very convenient. So we went to the store and waited for the car to be ready. When I got inside, she NOW tried to charge me for the second remote that I already paid for! Originally, she "forgot" to charge me for it, then I paid for it in cash. And apparently she never put it on the receipt! I told her "why would you let me leave the store if I didn't pay for it!? We argued in the store, she was just horrible. And told us to get the f out of her store over and over, the technician asked her if he could tell us how to use the remote start, she just screamed no! Her other "associates" in the store went as far to yelling and pointing their finger in my 17 year old son's face! We left, they locked the doors. We then stood in the snow for 15 minutes and couldn't get it to work! We went back and knocked on the door, I said through the glass "we just need to make sure it works before we can leave" one nice guy in the store told us so we went back to the car, we'll, that didn't work either. 15 more minutes go by and the same guy seemed to be leaving and heading to his car when he saw us standing outside in the snow. He asked if we were ok. I told him it's not working. He figured out we were told the wrong thing and actually showed us how to use it. I could accept and be understanding when things take longer than expected. I am not a rude person to anyone! I can't even believe this happened. PLEASE NEVER GO THERE. You might regret it. And if you DO end up going there...never ask if your car is ready or you might end up with this horrific experience happening to you! read more

I purchased a brand new truck from an out of state dealer and a short time after I had the truck the electric locks stopped working. I was working with the company i purchased the truck from for over year and they even sent their out of state mechanic to look at it and he could not figure it out. I decided to take it to Avenue Sound to see if they could trace the wire problem and in less than one hour they fixed it. I wish i would have gone to them first. I live in patchogue for 25 years and the owner of Anzalone's auto body for 25 years .just got remote start for Christmas from my wife for my 2016 Dodge Ram .went to pick up truck it was backed against the fence ,they tried to charge me for tint for 160.00 when it was 100.00 .then wen I get home .i looked around the truck and the rear bumper was damaged from the door coming down.i called them they have done nothing at this time .it sounds like they don't care about there customers.I just painted the truck myself and just put plates on it were the damage is,this is not the end of this I promise,very mad customer k read more

I have now dealt with Avenue Sound on several different occasions, remote start and two touch screen decks bought and installed; every time I have been attended to immediately and with upmost professionalism. On this occasion I was there for again work on my boyfriends truck. I always request to speak with Billy, I really value his opinion. I tell him what I am looking to do and he is always upfront if he thinks it will work out or not, if he think it will look right or I may have problems down the line, he keeps it honest. I had RGB multicolor Bluetooth Rock lights put in under the truck, a dual LED light in the front bumper, and installation on my already bought bed lights and a pack of switches. I was looking to have this done before Christmas for it was a gift, even with a full schedule, Ru was able to squeeze me in. Knowing I had to rent a car in the mean time Billy made sure that he had the truck finished within the two days, may I add everything was very neat and looks amazing. Avenue Sound installed remote start in my car recently. I had autostart but a mechanic I used for a repair disconnected it. Shawn and the other guy, his name escapes me-sorry, took a look at my car and offered me some options while actually showing me the wiring problem in my car. He told me up front there would be a charge for looking at my car, which I appreciated as most places surprise you with a fee after. They installed a brand new remote start in about 45 minutes and it works GREAT!! Also the price was very affordable. I was completely shocked when they called me less than hour later that it was finished! Great service, excellent work and affordable pricing. I highly recommend Avenue Sound! do not go to this place.the most underhanded people i have ever dealt with.they installed a reconditioned stereo in my vehicle without my knowledge.i was never told i was purchasing a reconditioned unit nor did my invoice reflect that it was reconditioned.nothing but a bunch of two bit schiesters.i will also tell you that they do shoddy work.when i picked up my vehicle there were greasy fingerprints all over the vehicle and wire clippings all over the inside of the vehicle.never again read more

What a great experience. I had taken my car to have the auto start checked because it wasn't working. Another place told me I needed a whole new system to the tune of $300+. I wanted a second opinion as the system wasn't that old. Avenue Sound informed me that it only needed to be reset since we had recently had a dead battery and only charged me for their time $50. I was over the moon thrilled and it proved what I thought about the "other" establishment (crooks). Avenue Sound is completely trustworthy. read more

I live locally but have never had or needed any work done. I bought an old car for my daughter last year but the radio was terrible. This week I decided for an Easter present to get her a new radio (HD-Bluetooth-etc)....and decided to go to Avenue Sound. I went yesterday and Joe and Randy explained everything in detail in what was needed and what would work best for this auto. Even thought they did not have the actual radio I needed.....they did NOT try to sell me anything else and were able to get the exact radio needed from their other store in Freeport. They received the radio this morning and quickly and easily installed a brand new radio (with all the gadgets) Pricing was great...timing and also convenience as well. "IF" needing something new for your entertainment system...you really can't go wrong stopping by here and at least looking around and asking questions...all the employees go out of their way to make sure you are getting the service you need. read more

These guys are ass holes, i buy a amp and woofer from them, they didn't install it in right way, it takes all the battery of my car, i put a new battery it giving me the same problem, i went to them to take care of it and they said can you come after a week so we can look at it, i remove the cable of amp from battery myself, now the car works good, i will never recommend someone to come here read more

TERRIBLE PLACE. The owner tried to make me pay for my second key fob for my remote start TWICE! She "forgot" to charge me the first time, and I paid for it in cash. When I went there to have it installed, she said I never paid! Very shady. She also lied to me about giving me an early appointment and I had to wait half hour for them to actually open (which made me late to work). I was there at 8:30, and my car wasn't ready until 6pm! I called on my lunch break to see if it was ready, and I got screamed at by the same woman. She accused me of calling her 4 times! She was nasty, unprofessional, and even tried mocking me! I have never seen someone run a business this way before. Customer service is something she has never heard of! We actually got into a screaming match in the store when she tried to charge me again for the second remote control. She was condescending, rude and cursed and me AND MY SON! She wouldn't allow anyone to show me how to use it either!!! Thankfully one of the service technicians took pitty on me when he was on the way to his car to leave for the night and saw us standing outside in the snow without being able to get the car to turn on! The techs in the shop seemed like nice people, but since she is the one I had the pleasure of dealing with, I can only tell you about my experience. They are very shady. I would stay far far away from this place. p.s. the remote start works, but it takes about 6 tries to get it to turn on...so i'm thinking the quality of the item they installed is also garbage. Do not buy from here, they are typical lying, fast talking salemen! Went in to buy same auto start that my brother purchased a week prior, same car, same year. His cost $185 installed, my price (not including whatever wires or extras may be needed once they look at my car) was $265! When I told them I saw the system online at a cheaper price he went online and looked and said he didn't see it! When I went home to check, the site was down! When I told him my brother had bought the same system less then a week ago at a much cheaper price he rambled on and on and told so many lies that he was contradicting himself. I asked him to look up my brother's order but told me he couldn't violate privacy! This isn't covered under HIPPA laws! They are scammers, salemen and liars! I went to Jazz Audio in Selden and they were great. Very straight forward, honest and quick I could have brought back my brother's receipt and argued more but they were not worthy of getting my money. AVOID THIS PLACE! read more
