My gel nails chipped and are peeling up after less than 2 weeks After I posted this they called and offered me a discount to re do them. This time after a week and a half they still look great. I dislike giving one star reviews but sometimes it has to be done. My simple polish change turned into a mess, complete with bubbles and a sloppy polish job. The older man who was handling the cashier area, didn't do much when I expressed my dissatisfaction. I didn't push the matter because I knew I would wind up going somewhere else to have them redone. There is a surcharge of $1.75 to use a credit or debit card. A small piece of paper is on the card processor stating this. It's small but the font is even smaller. They are overpriced. I don't mind paying extra for a service if it is worth it, but my nails looked like crap and I wasn't happy. At first sight the nail salon appears to be clean, but looking more closely you can see they really need to do a deep cleaning. They are located a few stores down from the Publix and finding a parking spot was easy. I will not return, once was enough for me. read more

The first time I went to Avenue Nails & Spa with my sister, Kelly did a nice mani/pedi and eye brow wax. But this past Saturday, she mentioned that she had been in a car accident. She was in pain both physically and mentally. This does not excuse the harsh way she dug her fingernail while wearing her gloves into the big toe on my right foot which was painful and bleeding; she stopped the bleeding, before walking away, she poured alcohol on that one foot. I felt for her and said nothing to management. I hope Kelly feels better soon because she is a good tech. I will not return. read more

Do not go here poorly managed. I am a repeat customer. I did a walk in for a regular manicure and pedicure they said they were lil wait 10-15. I said no problem. Another lady came in and asked for a manicure pedicure, but she had gel. One attendant was available and she asked what I was getting and I told her. She asked the other lady, but she was getting and she took the other lady ahead of me because she had a high priced request. I was told they were taking her just to put foils on her fingers then they would be right over to get me another 10 minutes later. They asked me to come back because they are too busy. I replied they took the girl in front of me. How fair is that and they said I am sorry. We are just too busy. I will not go there again. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience here. From the moment I arrived, the staff were rude to me, and I was given a dirty look just for choosing a basic pedicure which was what I could afford. I had specifically booked an appointment with a particular technician, but I was told I couldn't have him because I was only two minutes late. The entire visit felt unwelcoming, which is disappointing because a nail salon should be a place to relax, not a place where you feel guilty for being there. They were also quite aggressive during my eyebrow waxing. Overall, I left feeling uncomfortable and unhappy with the service. read more

The technician Kelly was very aggressive with my eyebrows, and then grab my arm when I went to walk out. I will never come here again. She broke the skin over my eyebrow and it almost looks like it's going to bruise. Do not go here. I'm sharing this because people should know what they're getting into. read more

I took my daughter and her 2 friends for a mani/pedi for her birthday. They requested a small flower design and they put on stickers rather than actually doing a design and it looks terrible. The nail polish around the nails is pressed up and not smooth. For $70/ per kid I would expect better. Yes, this place is clean but the quality of work is not worth the price they charge. read more

I gave this salon a second chance today - shame on me! they are the most unfriendly and incompetent nail salon I have ever been to. The owner sits and the front desk with a scowl on his face and doesn't even greet customers. The nail tech I got to do my pedicure was not going to stop until I upgraded to a more expensive pedicure -$50 which would have been fine but she did not even remove the callouses, got nail polish on my cuticles after I asked her to be careful and left my nails crooked and bubbles in my polish. They also have questionable sterilization process - they have an autoclave but it is never on or even hot. I doubt that anything ever gets cleaned there. NEVER AGAIN read more

Worst dip manicure !!! Ever nails were all uneven length , chipped polish, and 1 broken. Cuticles we're a mess and painful . My Nails were cut very short. 45.00 plus $1.75 credit card charge. Third time I gave them a chance. The first time I went in there and got a pedicure I told her to be gentle and she wasn't. She laughed at me. I thought OK. Second time I tried a different tech and she really nicked my cuticle. Tried them again last time for sure needed my polished removed and just wanted clear. Didn't want my fingernails trimmed. She didn't listen at all wound up with a French manicure that I didn't want that I had to pay more for and then she tried to put an acrylic nail on one of my short ones so instead she just went and trimmed all the rest of them down not a happy camper. My friend recommended me to come here. She said nail techs are very nice and welcoming. As well as the place is very nice and clean! She found out it was under NEW MANAGEMENT. And that they were making new positive changes to better customer satisfaction. I told her okay let me try them out. When I arrived I was greeted right away. They offered me water. They even told me if I need to use the restroom where it was located. Woooooow !!!! Okay making me feel very welcomed. Than when I was sat down for my pedicure. A lady name NIKKI serviced me. She was soooo sweet and made me feel very comfortable. She gave me recommendations on how to take care of my nail that keeps breaking. I'll give this place a 10 out of 10 read more

I have been looking for a place to make my home to get my nails done. Will needless to say this will not be the place. The guy that did my nails did a terrible job. He hardly cut any cuticle. He went around the nail and around my toenail. The nail polish is not on correctly. I have nail polish on the skin of my feet. I was hopeful about trying this new salon. Reviews looked good and I was well overdue for a good pedicure. Yes, it is convenient, bright and clean and they follow typical health guidelines. We talked about nail shape (short, straight across), not cutting a lot of skin. I specifically asked the technician NOT to cut along the side of my nails as she was starting to do, she shrugged her shoulders, so I asked her to stop. We clarified what was ok and what was not ok. She did it again. One of my large toenails was cut along the side and down pretty far. I didn't really see how much until I came home and felt alongside the nail. And to top it off, the polish application was not great. I am sure someone else might do a better job there, but I just won't go back. read more

Please stay away from Avenue Nail Salon. A female nail tech that works there (did not get her name) does not know how to properly do nails and put 10 tips on my nails that fell off the following day. When I called the owner to tell him what happened to me after paying $60.00, he said come back into the Nail salon and he would fix them. His attitude was awful because he got nasty with me when I said you are not doing anything different than the original nail tech did the previous day. He then smiled at me and brought up how all female customers that walk into Avenue salon are glad he even works on their nails because he is so good looking and they all flirt with him and want to go out with him. Yes, that was stated to me by this Nail Tech (Sonny) and I guess I should have flirted with him too and asked to go out with him and not complain on the horrible nail job he was now doing. I definitely got a GOOD LAUGH out of (Sonny) and I don't know how his stupid comments came into this conversation, but they did! So if you want a good laugh go there but, if you want your nails done correctly, then go elsewhere!!! read more

I went to this nail salon for a gel manicure and a gel pedicure. I received an OK pedicure. But when it came to the gel manicure, the technician was saying something about my nails, and I didn't quite understand it, but I went along with what you were saying. At the end of my gel manicure she said that would be $60. I called this salon before I went and asked the price of each, they said $50 for the gel pedicure and $37 for Manicure. I have been getting these services for 10 years and I know that was in line with other salons. So I decided to try this new salon. I could not understand why my manicure was now $60. The technician was saying that I had some kind of special Liquid gel on my nails and that made it $60. I have never paid more than $40 for a gel manicure and I was really very upset. The manager wouldn't budge he acted like I knew what was on my nails and I was trying to put something over on him. I paid the bill and left upset. I even regret that I went and gave a generous tip to the nail tech and the person who did my pedicure. I wish I had to do that over I would have never tipped the nail tech that did my manicure. I have never had any kind of special manicure that was more than $40. I really feel like I was ripped off. I will never go there again and people should be aware of the prices and reasoning for a high prices. read more
