If you like intricate or glam sets, this is not the place to go!!!! If you like fast service, this is not the place to go!!! . They do great the first few times but quality of the detail and designs goes down significantly once they see you as a regular. The only reason I went with this place was the photos on yelp showed they could more than execute my preferred style. I have come here and paid $200 every 2weeks for the last 6 months, 2ed month in I asked about a soak off and a fresh set instead of a refill I was told I didn't need it So I've been getting refills for five months straight which I know is not healthy, all because they do not want to give an extra 30 minutes to do a new set. The time management is bad as well and they will tell you they CANT do it if they dont WANT to & It outrageously took OVER 3hrs for a refill, design change and pedicure EVERY TIME. Like I said, the first times were an exact match to the pictures so I didn't even care about leaving with dead skin still on my toes the bottom of my feet!! (Which I did every time) I complained about the dead skin, but I learned my lesson after the second appointment about complaining or Comparing the detail to the picture I provided, as it would take even longer to finnish. My last set looks atrocious yet I did not complain instead I tried to book another appointment as I always do at the end of my appointment for two weeks out And was told that they will text me appointment times for me to choose from. After receiving no text, 5 days later I asked about setting an appointment, they responded with how they " no longer wanted to book future nail appointments with me because the appointment causes a lot of stress and they don't feel as though they're a good fit for the level of detail and attention I was looking for " I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted every time but I was made to pick colors and charms AS IF they're NOT on the picture and AS IF I'm the nail tech & know exactly what goes into recreating the look. As a result of that, they would sometimes look different than the picture or we would just end up doing something completely different. ‼ I feel that its not fair to me to take the blame after you stress yourself by trying to make me do your job for you and working so slowly. ‼ This last time I told her, I wanted cat eyes on my toes and she jokingly, then seriously, told me she didn't wanna do that and I guess she really meant it &was mad about having to do it & I guess my consistency and steady $20 tip wasn't appreciated. I was always respectful, even if I didn't like the work. Sophia, if this is how you treat your loyal clients & I can imagine how you treat family you can't tell to go away when u don't want to do for them. I would just love to know how was it so stressful to re-create a picture??? was it stress or just laziness ?? And I would love to know why you couldn't express this to me instead of rushing me out of your store when I was trying to create another appointment. If i hadn't reached out it seems as though you weren't even going to let me know so I could make arrangements with a new salon. ALSO I would love to know why it takes you and Alex SO long to do one set?? my first set there was with Alex and I got a simple French. I was there for 2 1/2 hours. A sidenote, you probably wouldn't feel so much bad energy and stress if you fired Mimi. She's useless, mean and always wears the same clothes.
I've been going to Sophia for my nails and I couldn't be happier! She's incredibly talented, especially when it comes to designs. Every idea I bring in, she nails it (literally)! She's super friendly and makes the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. The customer service is always great. They're a smaller business, so sometimes they might not answer right away, but they're always responsive to texts and make sure to follow up. Highly recommend if you want beautiful nails and a welcoming, friendly environment!
TLDR: Terrible service. Argumentative staff that do take customers wants/needs into consideration. Visited my family in Boca Raton and my mother and I decided to get a mani/pedi. My nail tech was Jonathan and I wanted an acrylic full set with gel polish. I showed a picture of exactly how I wanted my nails shaped - ballerina. He did the complete opposite! When I voiced my concerns, he didn't want to reshape them and said they look like the picture. Any blind person can see there is a huge DIFFERENCE between the picture and my nails. Moreover, I asked for a specific color (gave the # of the polish). I noticed the color was lighter than the nail sample. I asked him if it was the correct color and he said yes, it's just gel is lighter. When he was done painting my nails, I checked the color # and it was INCORRECT. Every time I voiced a complaint or concern about my nails, I was met with aggressiveness and rudeness. I have never experienced EVER. I was so disappointed and angry, I didn't bother with a pedicure. Worst service. Worst nail tech. Please do not come here and spend your money.
I've been going to Utopia for almost 2 years, and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Sophia is amazing, she does the most amazing designs on my nails, and my pedicures are perfection. I've also had my nails done by Trish, who is also wonderful, as well as Dan! Basically every person who has done my nails, I've loved Jordana is super friendly and helpful, she always makes sure I have my appointments squared away, and I absolutely love coming here. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
I visited Utopia Nails for a simple French manicure and left extremely disappointed. I showed the nail tech (VY) a clear reference photo, but my nails turned out nothing like the image I provided. Here are the major issues I encountered: 1. Poor Listening and Execution: Despite pointing out concerns during the process, my corrections were ignored. Each nail came out uneven and crooked, with no resemblance to the photo I provided. 2. Messy Work: Acrylic residue was left all over my fingers, which is highly unprofessional and unsanitary. 3. Lack of Hygiene: The tools and workspace did not appear clean, and the leftover acrylic further emphasized his disregard for cleanliness. 4. Shortened Nails Without Consent: The nail tech made my nails significantly shorter than requested and refused to fix them. 5. Excessively Thick Acrylic: The acrylic application was so thick and uneven that my nails looked bulky and unnatural. 6. Time Inefficiency: This "simple" French manicure took an outrageous 4.5 hours to complete, which is unacceptable for such a basic design. I've attached photos for reference--the first shows what I requested, and the others show the actual results. I won't be returning to Utopia Nails. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience!!! Wish I could give this experience 0 stars!
I moved down to Florida about five years ago and was looking for a nail salon. I came across Dan on Instagram and said to myself "wow I need To try this guy out" . I was able to get an appointment with him and he gave me something better than what I showed him. I have been going to Dan now for about 4 years now and I swear by utopia. My girl Vicky is amazing with the way she does brows and lashes and making you feel sexy! Alex is O M G Excellent in heaven amazing massages during pedicures as well as a beautiful paint job! Vicky and Sophia are awesome at doing your brows! Jordana at the front desk is beyond amazing. She's so personable and easy to deal with! Utopia is my home away from home! Highly recommended!!
Was extremely impressed on the day of my appointment...however I have lost all of my initial amazement at how good the salon was. I got a full acrylic set with gel polish and three nails broke within the first week of being on. My friend also got a set and her nails broke too. She went in to get them fixed and they broke YET AGAIN. We reached out to the salon via Instagram dm, and we were left on "seen". Two more messages have been sent requesting to cancel future appointments...very disappointed. Thought I found my new go-to salon in Boca, but I am still on the hunt.
**VERY COVID19 CLEAN** masks, gloves, spacing, temp checks, waiver, client areas cleaned and spaced well. Service is always superb. Felt comfortable and appreciated all the extra clean measures. Alex & Family @ Utopia Nails of Boca are OUTSTANDING! Recommended by a friend who's been doing her nails with Alex for years, happy to enjoy my mani-pedi today with such excellent, caring, detailed service. Just wonderful. Will be back for sure!
I was really looking forward to this salon since I have been struggling to find a GOOD place since moving to south Florida. I thought I found the place, friendly staff and clean place. Only for my gel manicure to chip in two fingers within 7 days. I have been getting gel manis for a long time and never have I chipped my nails so quickly. Really upsetting!!
First brought my mom here for her birthday and have been coming back every couple weeks to get our nails done for over a year. Always a fun time when we come and the nails are always beautiful. Amazingly talented nail artists and very clean salon.
First time going there and was very pleased. Lucy did a great job with my nails. Salon is clean and the gentleman at the front desk is friendly and professional. Will be going again.
I have been going g to Utopia since the first day they opened. I just got my nails done today! Every three weeks. It is the most relaxing, enjoyable part of my week. The new full body massage chairs almost put me to sleep. The family type atmosphere and people working there are always nice and friendly. I love love Utopia! Please go and enjoy the pamper
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in to try this place out because they were in a nice location and conveniently open on a Sunday. I went in for nexgen with tips. I got French and the work was atrocious!! I paid and tipped the nail tech Lucy well because I felt bad. I couldn't even loook at my nails. I called the next day and the girl who answered told me to come in for a polish change no charge. I come in and the manager puts me BACK with Lucy and tells me if I don't get a French he's charging me. Wait.. so you are gonna have the same shitty nail tech do the same shit work and expect the client to be happy? I'm confused. I said it's fine just drill off the top coat of the nexgen and throw a gel color over and call it a day. The manager had the nerve to charge me $20 to put gel over the shit work. Never in my life would I ever ever go back here!! He said if you don't do French like you paid for I have to charge you sorry! Here is the picture of the second time around lol my thing nail is already half chipped

This is like my seventh eighth time coming here and they always doing an amazing job. All the nail tech,s very professional very friendly and very welcoming. It's like a private session every time I love it this the type of nail place ,You can go to show a picture, You're gonna walk out with exactly what you show them . Love the vibe here and I do recommend it and I will be coming back as always. read more

I've been going to Sophia for over 3 years now! I love that she takes her time with both hard gel refills and gel pedicures. I go every 4 weeks for and not once has my nails ever broken in between refills. She's patient and is always spot on with colors/pictures you show her. Scheduling appts are also pretty easy (I just send her a text). I get so many compliments on my nails and I wouldn't go anywhere else, especially since it took forever to find a great nail tech here in Boca. read more

I love Utopia! I have been going to this nail salon since they opened and they are always professional, friendly and have amazing nail artists! Dan, Sophia, Hana and Alex are really the best! They can do any design you want or they can design one especially for you. I get a different one for every occasion. I am always happy and extremely satisfied with the care and attention I receive from Utopia. read more

Finally I found Sophia again! I used to go to a nail place less than a half mile from here, Sophia once worked there years ago and I always loved how she cared about the work she did. She left and years later some of her families members also disappeared from the same salon. One of my friends told me Sophia and her family moved to Utopia so I knew I had to make an appointment. I cannot say how beyond happy I am to have found Sophia. She is amazing and so is everyone at this place (Alex, Dan etc)! They can do any designs you want but I keep it basic. Today was my second time going here and I couldn't be happier! Sophia takes her time and makes sure you leave loving your nails. Today I got decided to get my nails black and they look great. This is a no frills type of salon but they are great at their work. read more

Update**** I have been going to utopia nails for 9 months. The last 3 times my nail design has peeled right off with in hours of my appointment. I have used 3 different nail techs, all with the same peeling results. Don't waste your money going here. $55.00 for a nail job that does not last for 1 day. read more

Overall, I had a very good experience here. I only went in for a dip powder manicure. I didn't have any previous product on and I didn't put tips on. They had an amazing range of colors for both gel and the powder. I told multiple times that I didn't want tips due to my work and they kept pushing. I understand short nails are harder to work with but they were definitely workable. My technician was very sweet and once she started I noticed that she only did 2 layers of the color and I'm used to 3. It wasn't a huge deal but I do notice that there's some transparent parts on my nail and it's not my favorite look but it's fine. She did very well with the tool though, my nails didn't get hot and she didn't nick me anywhere. She did a gel topcoat which was fine as well, and the color and shape came out super neat. I was surprised it was $35 since most places are $30 and again I didn't need anything product taken off and no tips were put on. She did a good job but nothing was fantastic or stood out that would be worth the $5. It's a convenient place off Federal which was nice and there was comfortable silence which was appreciated since I went right after work. Overall I would come back and try more of their colors. read more

I had such an amazing experience since there is NEW management! When I arrived I was welcomed immediately and took all the precautions due to COVID 19. I booked my appointment with Dan at 4:15 and I arrived earlier and they didn't have me waiting I sat right at the time of my appointment which I appreciate. Dan was extremely nice and professional did my nails perfect exactly how I wanted and made sure I was satisfied. I will most definitely be back and I recommend everyone come here ! read more

Love this place! Brand new management, I followed Alex here from another salon and she's the BEST!! She is quick, efficient. I do dip nails and regular pedicure and it's always awesome. Hanah and Dan are also very good. Love finally finding a decent nail salon in Boca. It took a lot of trial and error but I'm hooked! read more

I was so excited to go here as their instagram looked great. I drove an hour each way to go there ... my nail tech was Vicky and she was absolutely horrible. She even admitted halfway through that I should go to someone else who was better. What???? It took her two hours to do a normal gel manicure. She messed up the shape of my nails and made them super short and super thick. I told the front desk when I left how unhappy I was and to please fix my nails. They refused and were super rude to me and still charged me. Additionally I lived in Beijing for 3 years and understand and speak some Mandarin. They were talking shit about me the whole appointment! You never know who you're working on. DONT GO HERE. RUDE RUDE and BAD customer service. She butchered my nails. Can't believe I paid $50 for this botched manicure. She also couldn't get the red polish in the lines and said it was too hard for her lol. You're kidding right. read more
