Our visit was tainted before we even ordered. The girl at the counter was helping the people in front of us. After she dug through the tip jar to get some change...with her food gloves on...she proceeded to pick up the donuts...with those same gloves on. Yuck. When it was our turn, we asked for her to get new gloves and she just took off one and used her bare hands. Time for a health department visit. The entire place is due for a scrub-down. We ordered the turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich. It had zero flavor and the meat was wet. (??) We also ordered a chocolate frosted glazed donut, the frosting was awesome, but the donut tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. We also ordered an almond croissant. Easy store front parking. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lots of easy grab and go options for pastries. Great prices. They also have a full breakfast menu. I ordered the Sunrise Crepe and it was amazing, priced great and super filling. Limited seating and capacity so I wouldn't recommend bringing a large group here to stay but plenty of room for everyone to come in and order to go. Open view of the clean kitchen. Avenue bakery was so dang good!!! I came in the early morning to get some donuts for my husband and I for breakfast. There was a wide variety of donuts available even though I came almost immediately after they opened! I like that there was so much variety right at the start of the day. So first off , up until today I have always enjoyed Avenue Bakery. My family gets donuts from there every Saturday, they are very good. Also enjoy their other bake goods. A group of friends and I go to lunch there about once a month. But today will be my last visit. I'm having friends over for coffee, went and pick up a cake. The price was 30.00, not a problem, until they rang it up. They charged a 3.00 service fee for my order. When I ask about this, the employee pointed out a little sign, at the other register that says, to keep prices down they are now charging this service fee. If they want to charge more for their food, they shouldn't sneak it on to your total at the register. They should be honest and just add it to the price they are advertising. read more

Tucked away in this tiny little town American Fork is a delicious pastry shop filled with sinfully great tasting pastries; most specifically, the Kouign Aman! If you have not tried it- do it! One of the best places around for donuts and other pastries. Service usually consists of interacting with the cashier who more often than not are distracted and rarely greet you or say thanks. Really disappointed. I ordered a sandwich on gluten free bread for takeout and didn't realize until a few bites in, after I had left, that it was the wrong order.. meaning I was given regular bread and not gluten free. There needs to be much more care because this is unacceptable. The workers also stated all of their sandwiches can be made gluten free but not all items on the sandwiches are not gluten free. Super pleased with the environment here! The owner was so kind and checked with us personally how the food was. Lunch was so pleasant and delicious bread on the sandwich. A friend and I were meeting for breakfast but were not in the mood for IHOP. I found Avenue Bakery using this app, and I am SO glad I did!!! They have a crepe menu and several fresh-baked pastries, and wow! I ordered the Sunrise crepe (eggs, cheese, sausage, bacon, and salsa) and split a Berries and Cream crepe with my friend (I wish I'd ordered one of my own because it was one of the most delicious crepes I've had). I also took two donuts home with me - an Oreo donut for my husband and a Maple Bacon bar for myself. They were very good and very reasonably priced. Best glazed doughnut shop in the valley in my opinion. Better than daylight, Krispy Kream, or any grocery store. Good prices too. Items we tried: Glazed - 10/10 yeah... That good. Sweet, buttery, flakey, melt in your mouth goodness. Lemon filled - 9/10 same glazed breading but packed with delicious lemon filling. Not just a little spot of lemon you have to find in the middle, but a thick layer throughout. Eclair - 5/10 was just OK. Seemed like it was probably an made the day before. Peanut butter - 6/10 doughnut topped with a chocolate frosting and filled with a ton of peanut butter filling. This doughnut is not for the dainty. The peanut butter filling is slightly lighter than pure peanut butter, but not much. This was a little too heavy for us, tasty but overwhelming. Sunrise crepe - 7/10 Savory breakfast crepe with eggs, salsa, bacon, and cheese. It was good, nothing special, but good. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I love good bakery's and this place gets my seal of approval. Great food at great prices. I often look at the amazing looking cheesecakes and think "That same cheesecake would be 40 bucks at Cheesecake factory" and it's $16.99. Saw the reviews on the donuts so we tried it out. The donuts are incredible! The glazed was light, fluffy, and not overwhelmingly sweet (or fake tasting). The raspberry filled one with powdered sugar was delicious as well. My husband enjoyed his Bavarian creme donut--but his Snickers and Oreo donut had too little filling. The coconut cream pie was amazing. My husband enjoyed the turtle cheesecake. Definitely going back and trying their savory and sweet crepes. read more

I now live in Massachusetts but came back to Utah County and was hungry and this is new to the area since I moved 11 years ago. I stopped in and purchased 2 donuts and so I purchased a cream filled and a one of their designer donuts. I started to drive to Salt Lake City and the first bite was HEAVEN.... I could not believe how fresh it was and how the flavor touched my brain. Next thing I knew both of them were gone and I had to get more. On the way back through later in the day, I got a Dozen and had them surprise me with an assortment. None of them disappointed me and 3 days later, they were still as fresh as the first day. I will be back and I have told everyone how good they are. Glad I live in Massachusetts or I would have put on way too much weight and my Sugar levels would be out of control. read more

Sooooo Good! I bought a dozen donuts for a work meeting and everyone loved them. I got some glazed, chocolate glazed and caramel cream cheese. The caramel ones were a big hit. I only got to try the regular glazed and I was very impressed. They were so soft and fresh and only $0.50 each. The fancier donuts are $0.99. I need to go back and try the oreo topped donuts. They also serve sandwiches and breakfast items. They also have an indoor seating area. The place is a little hard to find to drive slow and watch out for the bunnies in the parking lot. This place is amazing! It's tucked away nicely behind the dollar theater in American Fork. When you walk in you smell the amazing donuts and see a ton of delicious goodies such as cakes and eclairs. We went there just for donuts but they also had breakfast and lunch stuff! My wife and I like to try a variety of things and they had a special going for a pizza and a drink. We got a pizza and a turkey cranberry sandwich as well as a chicken Caesar salad. The crust on the pizza was so flavorful and had a great bite to it. The toppings were generous and fresh (we got the supreme pizza). The turkey cranberry sandwich was so flavorful and way better than I could make at home. The chicken Caesar salad was AMAZING and so simple. We also got some of the chicken chili soup in a bread bowl and my wife loved it so much she bought more just to bring home! Even though the food was amazing and we kept saying "wow!" to each other, the highlight of the trip was the donuts. We got to try a warm donut right out of the fryer and it was AMAZING. It melted in your mouth. We constantly think about going back and the owner is fantastic and super friendly. They also have gluten-free stuff. Love this bakery and we will definitely be back at least a few times a week. My waistline is going to kill me but my taste buds are going to jump for joy! read more

Everything at Avenue is AMAZING. The all time best waffle in the world lives here (thick belgian, buttermilk syrup, cookie butter...need I say more?!). Food is always great. Love the crepes and donuts. They need to work on their service. We were the only ones waiting and our food took over 20 minutes and came out cold. For breakfast the wait shouldn't be that long. Especially when half your order is coffee and yogurt. We will come again but probably only for the food that is already made like donuts or muffins. read more

Cute place that offers a lot for a bakery. Perfect place for a date lunch or girl's outing. Today we went as a family. The kid's went with basic donuts (glazed and frosted w/sprinkles), and they were fine. Not amazing, so I'd like to try a specialty donut next time to give it a fair rating. How can a bakery, Monday morning not have enough French toast at 7:00am. Also, they didn't even have their donuts and pasties out. My husband and I love this place! We have been there for lunch and dinner. He has tried the chicken panni sandwich and cheese steak sandwich. I have had the chicken panni and the veggie melt sandwiches. They were all good and delicious. And generous size. The treats are all good. I can't find one that I wouldn't like to try. Edit to add: I've already left a review for how amazing their doughnuts are, and they are still so good! Now I need to tell you about their cake. Gluten free cake to be specific. I've gotten my custom cakes at Cravings Cupcakes in Pleasant Grove before, and this time i needed one that was gluten free and I knew I could get it there, but they had too many orders and couldn't take mine. Except for a place in SLC I had heard about I had no idea where to get a gluten free custom cake. Avenue Bakery came up in my search and I called. The price was way better than Cravings, but I was a little apprehensive about the order because the guy that took it (over the phone) didn't seem to have all the information, and didn't ask me what I wanted. I took off a star for that, simply not clear and thorough customer service on his part. Still, I emailed in a few pictures of cake ideas and later picked up the cake (I think it was two days later). It was perfect! Not a single person could tell it was gluten free, and it was perfectly decorated! It was a chocolate cake with mint icing. The decoration was spot-on! The cake was so delicious I'm still dreaming about it. Overall: Fantastic cake for an amazing price! I believe the 8 inch double layer round cake was about $20 and the 10 inch double layer round cake was about $40, or just under. Including customization. ----------------- Their doughnuts are so good! They're more specially doughnuts than the typical, but still well priced. They are competitive prices with anywhere else. My favorites are definitely the mango tango (sells out quickly) and the tiger tail, but they're all delicious. read more
