We tried Avenue Bakery on a whim, because they had signs advertising gluten free items. I was so impressed with the selection of gluten free options! I chose a cheesecake, it was delicious! Tried giving them another shot, but it's clear that their stuff isn't gluten free. I've bought stuff from Avenue Bakery a couple times now, but after this last time I won't be going back. I can't have gluten and thought their gluten free stuff would be good. Wrong. I don't know what makes their gluten free stuff gluten free but it still makes me sick. They also labeled a bunch of non gluten free foods as gluten free one time I was in and I ended up eating a bunch of regular non "gluten free" food. I'm all about second chances but I've gotten sick now 3 times and I only get sick from gluten which they must still use in their gluten free food. read more

This place is so cute. I took a wrong turn and stepped back into a western movie. It was 5 o'clock on a Sat and this little bakery was empty. The first thing that caught my eye was a pretty carrot cake, pastry puffs and a red velvet muffin. Then a menu that read breakfast special. So I walked around and found two seating areas. This is a bakery like Kneaders but lower scale. So they have baked goods like breads, rolls, desserts, donuts. They don't have very many pastries tho...they also offer some sandwiches. I think they're most known for their donuts. Donuts were good, better than the grocery store. read more

Rachel made this most amazing cake - delicious and scrumptious looking - for my birthday. We had a big plan laid on at home in Tennessee but plans change and ended up in Utah! I like the food. It's really yummy, but the service was pretty bad. I went in & ordered & then waited 30 minutes while everyone who came in after me got served. It looked like the employees knew the customers who came in after and bumped them up in the queue. My order wasn't complicated or big - the employee's friends seemed to order similar things. The small business feel is great & all, but I felt like I wasn't treated as well since I'm from out of town. Great atmosphere, originally dirty as tables opened from previous patrons. Cashier was warm and inviting. Pastries were delicious, doughnuts were excellent. When I stepped out of my car I wasn't sure I was at the right place because of the decor. But once I stepped foot inside I could tell this place is legit. The first thing you notice is the aroma. It hits you immediately. The smell of fresh bread and pastry fills the air. Its one of the greatest smells known to man. They offer an assortment of donuts, breads, pies, and their signature items, creps! Lots of different types of crepes. I went in the morning so I decided to order their sunrise crepe. Egg, bacon, sausage, cheese and salsa. It was cook perfectly. The eggs was good, just how I like it. Not dry but not too wet either. It all really worked so well. And to finish it all off I got myself a Oreo donut. Finely grated Oreo on top with creme filled in the center. Yum! The staff was awesome. So friendly. Almost every single staff came and asked me if I'm doing alright and if I have been help as I was waiting for my order. Super friendly environment. I strongly recommend this to all! read more

Some things are good but the pastries are not. Went in today to try the Paris Brest. The strawberries were old and mushy. When I bit in, my strawberry had a big black hard chunk in it. Looked like a worm or a rock, idk but it was stuck in the middle of my pastry. I wanted to throw up. My grandmas creme brûlée was literally just cold custard. We were extremely disappointed. When we told the servers, they said sorry and carried on helping another customer with a cake order. Most likely won't come back. And if we did, it would not be for sweet treats. read more

This is my favorite breakfast place in Utah County. The iced vanilla latte is the best I've ever had- it's more of a thick slushie than an iced coffee. Everything we've tried here has been delicious. Oh. My. Goodness. This place was AMAZING!! The donut was the best donut I've ever had. The waffles were like crack! They don't skimp on toppings and all the flavors worked perfectly together. I've never had better buttermilk syrup, including my own recipe! We also got the avocado bacon omelet and the egg was cooked perfectly. Not over cooked or dry at all! Driving through Lehi I couldn't help but notice this cute bakery on the corner of a pretty busy street. My friend and I turned around to give it a try. I was immediately impressed with the amount of space inside. Such a large space, with tables, chairs, and even couches! They also had a very easy to access and large parking lot. They had a HUGE selection of Gluten Free cookies, muffin tops, brownies, cake, pastry, bread, etc. As someone that used to be Gluten Free, I really appreciate the amount of effort to provide that community "normal" baked goods. Everything looked amazing, both the gluten free and traditional options! I honestly wanted to try it all! I am such a sucker for red velvet cake and a true cream cheese frosting, so I quickly grabbed a slice. I was so excited to dig into it. I immediately noticed the cake was light red, not as deep and dark as most red velvet I've had. It looked like there wasn't any cocoa in it. The frosting was also on the white side, vs a cream/off white color that normally comes with a true cream cheese frosting. But I put those initial thoughts aside and got ready to dive in. The cake's texture was perfect, not too dry, moist, and not too dense. But it just really didn't have much flavor. Neither the cake nor the frosting. If I focused really hard I got a tiny touch of cream cheese in the frosting, but no specific flavor in the cake. I was pretty bummed. My friend said that her double or triple chocolate decadence cupcake didn't have much flavor either. I don't know, maybe it was just a rough bake day. Their gluten free muffin tops looked so yummy, maybe I'll go back and try those with better luck. read more
