I read some reviews and called Metro Salon hoping there was an opening- and Jody picked up and found time for me the next day! I don't write a lot of reviews--- but my experience was SO GOOD I can't help myself. Jody is a true expert. She asked a bunch of questions to get to know my hair type and what I like, then dove right in. Gave me an incredible fresh blunt cut (exactly what I wanted!) without cutting off too much length- then gave me gorgeous natural highlights at the exact tone I was looking for. Seriously, I have been getting the same combo for 20 years (trim and partial highlight) and this might be the best one yet. She also took the time to give me a cute style that stayed around through the holidays. I'll be booking time with Jody every time I'm back in Toledo. Thank you for a great experience Metro!

So, I really needed a haircut, and since I can't get one in Michigan (thanks Covid 19) I decided to…read moretake a trip to Toledo since their salons are open. I spent a fair amount of time researching, calling and putting time into finding a place that would suit my needs. I found Reve, and made an appointment for a Friday evening with Linsday. I didn't want or need anything fancy, just a nice shampoo, cut and something to make me look and feel better. Boy, am I glad I found this place. It's located in a popular district off Mainstreet in Toledo. If you park in the back, there's tons of free parking and is a lot easier to get in and out than the street parking. Walking in, the place is HUGE. like 3 floors with an elevator huge. Beautifully decorated and swanky with all kinds of stuff going on here. Who ever owns/runs this place did an amazing job of making it feel and look wonderful. Because of the virus, I was required to fill out an online health form and have my temperature taken upon entry, and wear a face mask. I was told this upfront and was ok with it. I also got lots of text reminders of my appointment time and a confirmation reply was requested, which I did. The salon definitely communicates! I was sent to the elevator on the third floor where Lindsay was waiting for me. I sat at a table with a chair and waited to be called. The salon is huge anyway, but the upstairs was beautiful and had so much room to move around in. lots of exposed brick, wood floors, tons of fixtures throughout. Lindsay sat me down and asked what I wanted done. I told her and she said that I could really use a deep conditioning treatment. I've had them done before and my hair always feels better. The treatment was expensive, more than I usually spend, but after having it, I understand why. We went to the shampoo area and she used most of the deep conditioning treatment. She sent me home with the rest to use in 2 weeks. My hair LOVED IT. Its by Kerastase which is supposed to be a really good brand and only sold at approved salons. They are not styling hair here now, but I was extremely happy to go here and get my hair done. It was totally worth the money that I spent, and would tell anyone to go here even if its only once or twice a year. I didn't feel pressured to do anything I wasn't comfortable with and my stylist really listened to my needs. I would totally go here again and am glad I found this place. Worth every penny.

I've followed her over from their previous location on Central Avenue to their new spot, where they're currently at off King Road. I love the layout and design of their new spot. The decor is so chic and modern; all of the furniture is cozy too. The entire salon is very warm and inviting. There's plenty of parking and they offer complimentary coffee, tea, and soda when you visit. As for the service: impeccable. Crissey has been cutting and styling my hair since I was a little girl. She does a phenomenal job and always gives me her honest opinion whenever I want to try a new style or color. The prices at Texxture a Salon are comparable to other salons in the area and better than most of the Sylvania-based salons. The products they use are top-of-the-line and I always leave the salon feeling and looking amazing. So if you're looking for a new salon or a new stylist, give Texxture a Salon a try! The owner is very rude, condescending, and overall just gives off witch vibes. Every time I see her or am around her she's so incredibly rude. She is racist as well there was a stylist there that was black and she made comments about how they don't belong. Also, she cut my son's hair once and I'd never let her cut anyone's hair again. The salon also needs some upkeep. It's nice on surface but you do a lot of looking around when you get your hair done and you notice the lack of upkeep. I left when my stylist left and would advise everyone to avoid.

I found this place because I saw a review that said someone travelled 4 hours to go here because Alicia did such a great job. I called & they said they had a hypo-allergenic hair color for me. I made the appointment & showed up on time with my mask etc. Alicia seemed super nice and the hair color did not burn my head. I liked the color and it turned out great except the roots were lighter than rest of my hair. My hair was super long and was giving me a head ache. I asked if she was really good with long,, thick & wavy hair. She said yes and I allowed her to cut it. It sadly was very chopped in the back. I was very sad. I did go back a 2nd time for root touch up though because I needed it & MI was just opening. When I asked her to blow dry the back with a little flip, she said something like "Nope not doing that!" I just said nothing and left. But that first visit, I should've known that something was wrong when she didn't want me to see the back of my hair until she curled it . She offered to curl it for free. I'm pretty sure it's because she was trying to hide the 2- layers that were cut without any blending. I finally went back to my regular salon & they had to cut more in order to fix it. So you can decide if you want to go here or not?
