I had a consultation with Perry Liu for a panniculectomy/tummy tuck. When I asked about muscle repair, I was told it would not be covered by my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket. I later consulted with another surgeon who was willing to perform the muscle repair along with the procedure and worked with my insurance without any issues! Base of my experience this surgeon was not the right one for me. read more

Disclaimer: I have never interacted with Dr. Liu, but there is an absolutely wonderful nurse by the name of Paula at this facility. One experience that stands out is - before my surgery - I was on the verge of a panic attack. Paula completely calmed me down and made me feel so much better about the procedure. She even texted my Husband with hourly updates - something he very much appreciated. She also elected to be there with me at my post-op appointment which was completely unnecessary for her, but meant the world to me. I had a very bad experience with the staff at my Dr.'s office, so having a great friend and caretaker in Paula really made my entire experience bearable. read more

I had such a great experience here I was recommended here by a good friend. I decided to get a lip augmentation to receive fuller lips. This is something I have been wanting to get done for a while & I finally found a place. I did a lot of research beforehand on downtime and pain level. There was nothing to be afraid of it was painless because they used lidocaine to numb the lip area and used ice packs to prevent swelling. It was a quick and easy process. As for costs in my opinion it was reasonable for the lip fillers! The staff at this clinic are amazing so friendly and helpful. They made you feel super comfortable! I am happy I was recommended to this clinic. This is my go to spot in BH whenever I go & visit from now on. As for parking they do have valet which is convenient. This clinic is super easy to find in BH. If you can't find it call the front desk of the clinic and they are more than glad to help you with directions. read more

Update: I just had surgery to correct the issues from this surgery - re-doing my lipo to even me out and a tummy tuck to remove the scarred, damaged skin with a mini tummy tuck (extended to the hip). The doctor told me that I had hands down the worst scar tissue in a post lipo patient she has ever seen. She was shocked with the severity and said that there must have been excessive trauma during that surgery to have caused this. It was so validating to have everything confirmed - I always knew the amount of pain and issues with healing was NOT normal. I have a hip to hip incision that is healing beautifully with no issues at all, confirming that the wound healing issues was specific to this botched surgery. read more

Sadly I have to update this review as my most recent visit to Dr Liu was not only unprofessional but just plain insulting. I came here for some lesions to be removed as I was happy with how he did previous ones 4+ years ago (healed well etc). He has moved from Beverly Hills to Pasadena, a 90 min drive for me on a good day. The first appointment to remove these lesions was canceled and rescheduled for 2 weeks later, annoying but not the end of the world. The 2nd appointment he made they tried to cancel on me day of 30 mins before the appointment time, I had already been driving there for an hour! They ended up changing the time from 12:30pm to 5pm so I had wasted my morning and now to get there in rush hour traffic 2-3+ hrs. I finally arrive and I'm kept waiting over an hour before being seen! Now for the follow up appointment, I call the day before (as I now know how unreliable he is) and they ask me to come in at 1pm instead of 1:30pm (as he has to leave for surgery by 1:30pm). So I arrive at 12:45, lead into a room at 1pm. It's now 1:27pm and I'm still waiting to be seen. The worst part is when I checked to see what was going on at 1:15pm I'm told he went to the bank??!! He has kept me waiting to run a personal errand?!) WTF!!!! I am livid about the lack of accountability or lack of caring about other people's time. His receptionist told me "I just have to wait" when I asked for her to call him. Like she's doing me a favor and kept trying to usher me back into a room like a misbehaving child. Because of this I am speaking with my lawyer about medical malpractice and I will be issuing a formal complaint to the Medical Board of California. AVOID THIS OFFICE!! read more

BOTCHED BOTCHED BOTCHED‼‼‼ BEWARE of DR PERRY LIU ‼‼‼‼ Dr. Perry Liu butchered my eyes. He performed three different surgeries. After 2 attempts to repair the damage with no success. One eye is substantially larger than the other both lower eyelids eye lashes flipped downward towards ground . After realizing he was totally out of his league and after a total of 3 surgery attempts to make the eye repair. Dr. Perry Liu then recommended Dr Guy Massery . Shockingly , Dr. Liu then refuse to pay for any of the revision repair surgery. I offered to him to pay 1/2? Nope not even willing to pay for 1/2 half the surgery. This doctor does not stand behind his work .. He genuinely and sadly BOTCHED me !! read more

Learn more 3 reviews · 1 rating Perry Liu, MD 9301 Wilshire Blvd Suite 100, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 The first time I had the growth on my upper chest (in the decolletage area - right where it was impossible not to notice!) my primary physician removed it. To call it primitive is being kind. While he did use numbing agents, it was slightly gruesome, ultimately involving a tactic of putting a metal implement into the wound and turning it multiple times to destroy the pocket and, hopefully, prevent it from reoccurring.... To be perfectly honest, I was grateful that he tried. He put a drain in and for 7-10 days it felt like I had glass shards in my wound. I had an obvious red mark where it had been. But, it was gone. Well, not for long. The growth reappeared a few years later, much to my chagrin. It ebbed and flowed - and grew - which is how I ended up being referred to Dr. Perry Liu, a plastic surgeon, with a main office in Beverly Hills and a satellite office in Diamond Bar, which was more convenient for me to visit. First was the consultation with Dr. Liu. Both he and his assistant, Yaritza, were attentive, kind and thorough. He briefly examined the area and said he could remove it, either with sedation or without. Seeing as I survived my first go-round round with my primary being wide awake, I opted for just the numbing of the area. About a month later, I arrived back in Diamond Bar for the procedure. Dr. Liu's technique can best be described as measured and artistic. He expertly numbed the area with numerous needle sticks that were barely perceptible. He made sure to periodically ask if I was in any discomfort, and I was happy to report I was not. The procedure did take some time: After removing the offending growth from the surface of my chest, he patiently began removing significant scar tissue accumulated underneath the growth from years of repeated inflammation and drainage into the surrounding tissue. It seemed a long and arduous procedure, but he quietly and intently did the work to remove EVERYTHING so it would have a slimmer chance to ever reappear. To call him masterful would be an understatement. Some doctors with surgical specialties can leave a lot to be desired with their bedside manner. That's not the case with Dr. Liu. He looks deceptively YOUNG. Looking at him, I thought maybe a couple years out of medical school??.. Nope! He's been practicing his artistry for 20ish years, having trained under some of the most renowned plastic surgeons. Like an artist, he delicately and methodically approached even this non-cosmetic procedure as if it were one. Once closed up and bandaged I thanked him and Yaritza, who had come into the large and well-equipped surgical suite to assist, and was on my way. Recovery was swift and uneventful. I did return to the Diamond Bar office one last time for him to evaluate the incision and surrounding area. I didn't need a drain. I didn't feel like there was glass in the wound; every once in a while I'd feel a slight burning or itching, but was reassured when Dr. Liu explained that was likely nerve regeneration and healing from all the scar tissue removed. It's pretty much disappeared five months later. The staff - both in person and on the phone - are courteous, friendly and efficient. They called me back promptly if I left a message, or with an answer or detail that they couldn't necessarily answer initially. They address you by your name which is refreshing - since much of the medical landscape seems to not offer much in the way of personal care or concern. I never felt like just a number or a dollar sign. Yaritza and the other staff member I met (blanking on name) went above and beyond coordinating my care with my insurance. It was so seamless, any money/insurance issues were never even discussed with me. I felt like I was actually the most important thing - not the payment for the procedure. I can only speak to the satellite office in Diamond Bar which was clean and painted in my favorite periwinkle color. Only negative is traffic on 57 freeway to get there. read more

If I could give Dr. Perry Liu a 10 plus I would. He is an awesome Dr. Caring, Ethical, He listens to his patients, he doesn't talk over you like other PS. I had my Breast Implants removed back in March 29th 2023. Thank God I am not planning on having any cosmetic surgery done anymore, but if I would, I wouldn't hesitate to get it done by him again. Hands down he is the best. Yaritza his assistant, is always willing to reply with any concerns or questions if any. read more

I went to Doctor Liu for a plastic surgery in October last year. I paid the full amount of $18200, and after various delays, the operation was cancelled at last. My patient coordinator promised me they will refund me, and initially told me they will refund me via the same credit card that was used for the initial payment. Later they told me, they would have to write a check instead. And after that, my patient coordinator ghosted on me. In March, I was finally able to meet Dr Liu, and he told me he will wire transfer the refund via online banking. Unfortunately, he disappeared and ghosted on me immediately after that. It's already been 5 months since the initial request for refund, and since then no one is answering my call nor reply me. I can't get in contact with Dr. Liu in any way, and now I feel like they are fraud. I'm now undergoing procedure to sue them.他就是个骗子！大家不要找他做手术！ read more

Almost five years ago I was involved in a hit and run accident and brought to Cedars in an ambulance. The great doctors there took care of me, I am so grateful to them all. After a full day of surgeries I was still complaining of pain in my left hand (that www not touched during the other surgeries) They called in Dr. Perry Liu to operate on me early on a Sunday morning. Dr Liu is a brilliant surgeon, he is caring and devoted to his patients. Since that initial operation, Dr. Liu has operated on my hands several times to fix issues that continue from the original accident. Dr. Liu is not alone at Avant Aesthetics, everyone is kind, compassionate, friendly and caring, Like Dr. Liu. I have been therE dozens of times and honestly say, these people have become like family. I would recommend DR. Perry Liu and Avant Aesthetics for your procedure, you will be comforted by the experience read more

I got my surgery done with Dr Lui jan 2022. He did the partial muscle resection and RF. I paid around 20g for this surgery. The surgery, flight, hotel and food for 1 week stayed in LA. As you can see from the 1st photo. Dr Lui marked my leg where he's supposed to do my surgery. During the consultation and zoom meeting with dr Lui and Zach the coordinator they assure me that there will be 4 incisors. After I woke up from the surgery I end up with only 2 incision which is my inner calf only. He didn't do my outer calf. I realized it when I was back to the hotel. Before surgery I was measured 14.75 inches and now I m 14 inches after a year and half Not much of the difference. After time I thought the RF will make my calf a lil smaller. No it didn't do anything. I would say my leg change about 20 percent better but is that worth it for all the money I paid and the pain I go through. No. The 4th picture is the before and after. You can make your own judgment. The last pic is the scar. I put scar medicine take good care of it too but still left with a noticeable scar. If you have any questions regarding this surgery please contact me I will give you all the details about it would I recommend him no please go search for Dr. Park in Korea or Dr. Wong in Taiwan read more

I had zero experience of getting plastic surgeries nor any type of injections including a Botox. Now, I am turning 50 this year, I decided to give it a shot and had a consultation with Dr. Liu about getting Kybella (chin fat reduction) done. 2 weeks ago, I finally got it done. Having a round shaped face, I was never confident about my chin whenever I putted on a few extra pounds. To make a long story short, I am very happy with the result. After 2 weeks, it is starting to show a noticeable difference. I feel like I don't have to raise my chin high up to hide my double chin any more. lol I also got a lip injection, and it came out looking very natural. Even my husband who truly hates the look of enhanced(?) lips, compliment the outcome of it. lol Dr. Liu and nurse Alexis were great. Very professional and made me feel very comfortable the entire time. Thank you so much again. read more

I booked an anti aging cryo facial with Arc light therapy with esthetician Erika Janes at Avant Aesthetics. It was easy to find in suite 100 and both of the receptionists were most lovely and helpful with getting all forms signed with strict covid protocol. Erika used a facial that promotes tightening and I experienced a slight stinging, which she explained has a stimulating effect, then I felt a slight freezing and heat next. She then treated me with Frozen C which is the coldest most efficacious Cryotherapy one could get. This device uses laser temp feedback to ensure it reaches the ideal treatment temp. Her Plasma-Arc Light Therapy promotes collagen stimulation and reduction of fine lines, I was truly impressed by the results. I really needed a pick me up after hiding my face behind a mask for such a long time! I will book with Erika again, I can't wait!! read more

I traveled over 100 miles to come here for juvederm for my lips, this is the third time I've had my lips done and my first time at this office and let me just say that Christina was amazing, she is very informative and kind. She is also very educated in this field and uses smaller needles to reduce bruising and swelling. It has been 1 week since my visit and my swelling(which was very minimal) and brusing(also hardly noticeable from the start) are completely gone! It normally takes a week for my lips to be normal but they were normal again by day 3. I will be coming back here for my filler! Thank you Christina! read more

I am about 7-8 months post calf reduction surgery. I did a combination of RF and Kybella injections. Of course, I was out during the procedure and didn't feel a thing. The doctors and staff were great in easing anxiety and answering any and every question. Before and after surgery, Robert gave me his cell number to text or call at ANY time. ..Recovery was WAY better and faster than what I was expecting. The first two days it was hard to walk but by day 2, I could kind of squat and walk to the bathroom/kicthen without help.. (short distances). By day 3-4, I was walking without pain WITH PUMPS (heels). After that it quickly got easier to walk.. super short down time..!! Also the scarring is MINIMUM. On the back of my left calf you see two tiny dots and on the right they are a bit bigger but fading, I wish it faded faster but I can't complain too much. My calfs on each side shrunk a little over 2 inches each. I used to not be able to wear boots and would dread trying them on in public stores but now each and every boot in any store fits me! I started at 16 inches circumference and am now at about 13.75 in circumference, and I believe they may shrink a little more.. To conclude, I am very happy with my new, more proportionate calfs! :) I'll try to post a before and after soon. read more

I wanted a nonsurgical, noninvasive face lift to address the fine wrinkles and uneven sagging appearance on my face, especially under my eyes. After some online research, I learned that my best options are either Ultherapy and Thermage. Both treatments seem to achieve the goals of tightening skin and restore skin to a more youthful appearance by stimulating your own collagen production. Avant Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery offers both types of treatment. After consultation with Dr. Liu and careful consideration, I decided to go with Thermage at this location for the following reasons. - friendliness, experience, and professionalism of the doctor and staff. - Beautiful office with state of the art equipment. (The newer generation of the Thermage (offered at this clinic) has the Faster Algorithm Experience (FLX). This machine enables a similar treatment within a shorter application time. ) - Pain tolerance level. (Thermage FLX is relatively painless compared to Ultherapy) Avant is one of the few locations in SCAL that has the newest generation of Thermage machine. I got my Thermage with Jennifer. She is AMAZING! She gave me Xanax to relax me during my procedure. I was euphoric while she administered the treatment. While I read that some people may have redness, I didn't have any of the adverse symptoms that read about. I had the treatment at 4 pm, and by 7 pm, I was out at a dinner party. No one suspected I had anything done! My face looks the same initially right after the procedure. I am now 3 wks post-procedure. She told me that the special technique she used would pull my skin in a way that would tighten and also makes my chin more prominent with a skinnier jawline. I definitely observed the effect of her amazing work. This week, I got many compliments about my smooth, silky glowing skin and about me looking skinnier. No one suspected my secret on how I transformed into a skinnier and younger self. I was told that my collagen production would continue and it would look even more amazing 3- 6 months post the procedure. I CANNOT WAIT. read more

Doctor Perry Liu is kind, honest, considerate, and is super helpful and professional. I live in NYC and had two business days in Los Angeles to find a doctor who could inject some Botox into my masseter muscles (for bruxism, or tooth-grinding at night). Yes, there are A LOT of plastic surgeons in New York City, but NYC does not seem to have lots of doctors who perform this simple procedure for the jawline. LA does, probably because this procedure is also done by many Asians who want their jawline slimmed by Botox injections for cosmetic reasons. I searched on Google via key words "San Gabriel Valley Botox jawline" and found Doctor Liu's website. I called and was routed to an answering service, so I left a message. His admin Valerie called back within a few hours. Despite having to play phone tag, she got me an appointment with him at his Arcardia location the very next day. She was super helpful and nice to chat to. I went to Ann Karen Day Spa, where he spends one day a week. He answered all my questions, explained the procedure, and gave me insight into another procedure I asked about (dermal filler injections.) He said that I don't need a filler and neither do I need a nose job (something I briefly considered). I found that to be a very honest thing to do, as opposed to certain doctors who will perform any procedure for more fees. I asked about what procedures he also performs, and he explained that he liked working with many Asian procedures such as eyelid surgery, calf reduction, and nose jobs. He was also very good with the Botox needle and there was very little pain. So the Botox for my jaw bruxism was $8 a unit, much much much better than Manhattan price of $20 per unit by my maxillofacial surgeon. Afterwards he saw that I was interested in the day spa so asked the staff to give me a tour. I look forward to my follow up visit. I think he's a doctor you can trust to give you an honest consultation. Pros: professional, very little pain, honest, very awesome doctor Cons: his office is actually in Beverly Hills, and he spends one day a week in the San Gabriel Valley area so if you can't travel West it may be a challenge to get an appointment. However, I got my appointment with very little hassle. read more

I had to get surgery on my tights due to scarring after a really traumatic car accident. Considering how traumatic the entire accident ordeal was, I was very glad that I had Dr. Liu to turn to. He understood what I wanted, and was incredibly kind to me. His office staff was also very helpful and always kept me in the loop about any changes. They worked with me to get approval from my insurance company. For such a complex process, they made it so painless! Speaking of pain - surgery is never fun, but Dr. Liu made the experience significantly better for me. He was reassuring, and addressed all my concerns about the procedure. The results were great too, considering how messed up my leg was. I definitely recommend Dr Liu, his skills and professionalism are unparalleled. read more

I had Dr. Perry Liu perform my reconstruction surgery after a double mastectomy for breast cancer. I suffered a painful and disastrous BOTCHED breast reconstruction surgery that made a mess of my breasts by Dr. Liu. The expanders he placed in my chest were stabbing me from the inside out. Over the following months, I could see and feel them under my skin and the pain was getting excruciating. Dr. Liu would tell me "this is common" and would schedule me to come back in thirty days each time. One of my breasts started leaking and one of the expanders tore through my skin, being clearly visible. This all happened under Dr. Liu's care. His lack of serious attention in my case resulted in the worst possible outcome. I realized something was terribly wrong and immediately sought out the expertise of several highly regarded breast specialists. Dr. Liu's work was appalling and his wound care inadequate. At this point, I urgently required the skills of a proficient micro surgeon and plastic surgeon to repair the damage. The expanders were removed along with the damaged tissue. I had DIEP flap surgery with an extensive skin graft to cover the entire right breast area. I spent twelve hours in surgery and five days in the hospital. I have had several minor surgeries as well to get a more normal result. This has been a devastating and stressful situation that should not of happened. I am just stating the facts of my experience in hopes this may help someone else making their decision. read more

I come here to get Botox done on my masseter muscles. It definitely helps the jaw pain from TMJ and slims down my face. I am scared of needles and the pain, but the Botox is no more painful than a "pinch" when injected and is finished only in a few minutes. Dr. Liu and his attendants are AMAZING! I would give them 6 Yelp stars if I could. So I'll just add this little thing as my sixth star: * I recently visited his Alhambra office in order to get Botox administered for certain cosmetic & health related reasons. I received 6 injections in total and as someone who struggles from a pretty low-threshold of pain, I went in expecting death in a needle. Not so. I barely felt ANY of them - seriously, math problems are more painful than how the shots felt. The injections consisted of 80 units of Botox, and Dr. Liu was generous enough to offer me them at a rather affordable price (well, for Botox at least, haha :). Dr. Liu himself was very gentle, patient, good-humored and personable with me, and from the moment he introduced himself, he did whatever he could to help me feel more at ease. His assistants were also very, very kind; both of them volunteered to hold my hand during the procedure when they noticed with some concern, that I seemed to be nervous. How is that for sweet?! I can only say good things about my experience here, and I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone seeking the procedures Dr. Liu offers. The office itself is very clean, tastefully decorated, and the examination rooms are comfortable. I plan on going back to see him to receive my second course of injections in September. I'm very glad to have found such a good doctor - so glad I signed up for Yelp just to rave about him. :) (Gah, you know what, I'll even add a 7th star: *) read more

My partner and I have been long time clients of Avant Aesthetics and have always been treated with the utmost care and attention. They approach injectable treatments in a way I don't often see and I've definitely had my fare share of treatments. What I like most is there ability to reel me in from wanting to go overboard and/or directing me in a way that encourages the most natural results. There has been plenty of opportunities where they could have agreed to do more for the sake of a sale, but they've always been so honest and easy to put my trust in! read more

Very friendly office. And, I'm sure he's a good plastic surgeon. I'm writing about non-surgical procedures. Sculpsure is very expensive and does NOT work. They tried to convince me that it did, but it didn't. Don't waste your money on a non-surgical procedure at a plastic surgeon's office. I would save your money for a surgical proceeded that only a surgeon can do. There's no sense in paying a premium to a Beverly Hills surgeon to have a nurse perform a non-surgical on you...that most likely won't work. read more

Overall, my skin hasn't fully cleared, but I was happy with the facial. She spent about an hour on my face & it didn't feel rushed. She also gave a great scalp massage. The receptionist, Victoria, is especially friendly. I've been to many Dr's offices, and haven't seen a friendly receptionist in a while. She is also very professional and returned all of my phone calls right away. read more

I consulted with Dr. Liu after I was hit by a car biking and sustained significant scaring on my left leg and knee. Dr. Liu took the time to explain to me the cause of my scaring and all of my different options for scar removal. I appreciate his kind and professional staff and how quickly I was able to get an appointment to be seen. I would highly recommend Dr. Liu to my family and friends. read more
