MOST TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE I experienced serious complications after surgery with Dr. J that resulted in hospitalization. I developed large seromas that required multiple aspirations/drainages. Eventually, I developed cellulitis and was admitted to the hospital with a 104° fever. My procedures included full body liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks, lipoma removal, umbilical hernia repair, and C-section scar revision. Despite the severity of the complications, Dr. J did not provide a referral or arrange appropriate post-operative specialty care (such as drain placement). I was left to find my own providers to address complications resulting from the surgery. I was told I would only need two weeks off work, but due to complications and infection, I ultimately missed five weeks. During aftercare, Dr. J was condescending and dismissive. His communication increased my anxiety and made me feel panicked rather than supported. I found his behavior inappropriate and unprofessional. After multiple aspirations, Dr. J stated I likely needed ultrasound-guided drains placed by an interventional radiologist and that he could not do it "blindly." However, instead of arranging this care, he told me to schedule an appointment with my primary care provider to obtain a referral. There was no coordinated plan for follow-up or specialty treatment. I am extremely grateful to my medical providers who ultimately treated my infection and placed drains once it was safe to do so. Even after six reschedules, I patiently waited and agreed each time because I trusted it would be worth it. However, my experience with the office communication was really disappointing. After my consultation, I received the quote only five days later -- and it didn't include any breakdown of the procedures. It also listed services that I had specifically said during the consultation that I did not want. When I asked for a corrected quote and a full breakdown of what I'd actually be paying for, I never got any response. No emails, no texts, nothing. After waiting so long just to have the consultation and then more time for a proper quote that never came, I decided to move on. AND OF COURSE - NO REFUND... I paid IN FULL for a procedure to be completed in early November. It was "postponed" by his former patient coordinator Vanessa in mid-October. Since the end of October, there has been zero contact from his office. I've sent multiple emails requesting a refund for services not provided and lack of patient coordination. No response. Your automatic text message service to confirm appts has been abandoned but it's still sending out texts to confirm. We travelled 8 hours total to get to the confirmed appt to find you not there. After conducting thorough research, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. J to discuss my options. I traveled over two hours from my location to Los Angeles, and due to heavy traffic, the return journey took nearly three hours. I arrived slightly early for my appointment. When no one opened the office door after I knocked, I assumed it was because I had arrived ahead of schedule. However, after waiting for more than an hour outside the office, I realized that no one was expecting me. I had confirmed my appointment by responding to the text message received the previous day, so the appointment was neither cancelled nor rescheduled. It would be greatly appreciated if the scheduling staff could notify me of any appointment cancellations through email, phone call, or text message. It is clearly stated on the website that a non refundable fee applies in cases of missed appointments or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice. In light of this policy, I respectfully ask who will compensate me for the valuable time I lost, as well as the expenses incurred for gas and parking. read more

I would like to leave an honest review about this business & the way Dr. J handles his clients. Maybe not all but very few women & I hate our bodies thanks to Dr. J. My body is botched after having breast augmentation with him. All though I'm botched & truly ashamed of my body. Some days I can barely look at myself & it's painful. Some days I wonder who will ever want to be with me or who will want to love me with all my scars & it truly is sad. My results were very good and amazing for 3 months only, after 2 months the bad results started to show; he told me to wait 1 year for the touch up surgery and after that I made few appointments which they canceled and I got busy and I reached out again on October of last year and they started to playing me and not giving me answers and telling me I have to pay for the full percidure again, they kept telling me we will call you back or you call us in 2 weeks and than they just left without any words. We have lots to say about this Dr and we have some strong assumptions based of what we have experienced with him. What we can say is we think his personal life has gotten the best of him and it definitely started to reflect on his work. Him and his office will not be transparent to warrant the type of behavior either. We have been told so many things by his office that are conflicting and don't add up. I waited for him for almost a year with many reschedules in between since I was so dead set on having him as my Dr based off what I saw on reviews and his social media and thought I could trust him to get an amazing result. His office was extremely hard to solid communication with. We had to literally reach out several times to get a response in several occasions. I'm upset just like the other women that have either been botched or spent time and money to end up with nothing, the same, or worse than they went in with. I have irregularities and have no way of getting it fixed since he is MIA. I will have to find another Dr to fix it which means hard earned money down the drain as we are not rich like the LA crowd. His prices are also very very high with several things I was quoted. More than reasonable IMO. If there was something that you pointed out he would say it's your body or because it's more noticeable now that you had surgery in the area adjacent to that specific area and basically would need another to correct the other areas. He would talk over you and never explain why or how or tell you if you lost weight it would look better when they originally told me I didn't have to lose weight to have the surgery I wanted which is why I went ahead and did it. It's just overall disappointing to be excited to finally change something you don't like to give you more confidence to come out feeling the same or worse. I regret doing this surgery here I was completely disregarded about the outcome after just a few months now it's been a while and I keep hating what I look like. All I wanted was for the doctor to check why it looked so bad and advice on what to do but when I asked for a appointment it was canceled and they said they would get back to me and that never happened. I had 3 breast revisions with Dr J and a Lowe Bleph. All the surgeries he preformed were not successful. After the 2nd surgery my breasts were SO ugly! One breasts was so much lower than the other and both breasts bottomed out which made things looks even worse! I was literally so depressed for months with how my breasts looked, I cried often mostly while showering as looking in the mirror was a daily reminder of how ugly my breasts looked. I never had uneven breasts in my life even before doing my very first augmentation so how they were uneven now was a shock. I was told by Dr j during the post op appt that my folds were genetically uneven and was not his fault ( BTW nothing is ever his fault and he will blame the patient for his terrible work) and I was ungrateful for what he had done for me!?? UMMMM you gave me uneven breasts and breasts that are bottoming out which I never had an issue with till he preformed the 2nd surgery. After a few months the bottoming out had gotten worse so Dr j went in a third time a preformed another surgery Sept 3rd 2025 to try to fix the bottoming out which was still unsuccessful.I still have breast that bottom out badly! I also have scars on each corner of my eyes from the lower bleph and will need another surgery from a different surgeon to correct this. My eyes constantly feel like they are stuck down in the corners. I had my post op appt Oct 21st to go over things with Dr J but received a text Oct. 20th that Dr. J had been in a car accident and would not be in the office till DECEMBER and I would need to reschedule my post op appt. I rescheduled the post op appt with Olivia at that time for DEC. 2nd. On Oct . 24th 2025 I reached out to Olivia via text asking for a waiver to be emailed to me as I wanted a copy of all my surgery records which I did sign and email back to her. I reached out to that same number asking repeatedly for my records with no success in getting those documents. Since then the office has been closed as I did drive to his office in person to try and pick up my surgery records. Lights were off, no one was there and door to the office were locked! Phones have been disconnected including the post surgery emergency line that Olivia was responding to patients on! The weird thing is I did get the text to confirm my Dec. 2nd post op appt so I thought ,finally I can get someone on the phone during this appt. I do not even know where to start with this review. To be honest I am actually embarrassed on posting this review since it does have my personal information photo/name. I will keep things simple and get to the point. My surgery experience with this Dr Jay is terrible. I am now suffering from depression and with daily discomfort. My sex life was great before this surgery and now it is not the best since I actually do not like my husband to see me undressed due to the botched bbl and liposuction performed. I will NOT recommend anyone to go in and have a procedure with Dr Jay. I have been left botched and the only explanation given to me is that everyone heals differently and was told that I can have a different procedure to fix it. I went in to enhance my shape instead I was left to where I do not know how on earth am I supposed to ever wear a bathing suit again. I will not even let my husband see my butt anymore since it looks horrible due to the excessive unnecessary liposuction performed on my thighs. I was impressed with all of Dr Jay awards that are all over his office and I thought he was the right surgeon for me since he claimed to be third generation surgeon and is known to be a bbl expert oh was I ever wrong. I am so blown away by the entire experience with Dr j and his staff!! His anesthesiologist is a sweetheart teddy bear. I love all the nurses and receptionist. I'm only one month post op but I am loving my results!!!! I am so glad i had the strength to go through the surgery. I get major panic attacks and back out on a lot of things but not once did I have any hesitation. One of his patients posted about suffering from panic attacks. I am very excited I found Dr. J and his amazing team. I had been wanting my breast aug for so many years and finally went through with it. I had lost 30lbs and my breasts were deflated and every surgeon I went to wanted to do a full mastopexy or lollipop lift. After I found Dr. J and saw other photos of girls with breasts the same as mine before there surgery with perky great breasts after without any additional scarring, I decided to go to him for a consultation. He explained why the other lifts were not needed in my case and it made a lot of sense! He is very skilled at what he does and above that he could have got a lot more money out of me if i went with the other more invasive types of lifts but he is not. I appreciate that a lot. It is a wonderful experience Dr. J is awesome. He inspires trust with his obvious knowledge (citing studies to a nerd like me, is like feeding a cat chicken... we lap it up!) I had brought my husband and everyone was so accommodating to both of us, and Dr. J could answer any question we threw at him. Dr. J asks tons of questions, he obviously wants to make sure you're safe and conditions are optimal for surgery. He also makes sure that you own your decision. So friggin awesome. He won't brag, but he he has enormous knowledge, both due to his upbringing, his double board certification (they don't give those away, you know) and the charity work he does. BEST experience ever!!! Dr. J was exceptional. He really knows his craft. We did a breast revision and corrected some serious asymmetry between my breasts along with a removing my capsular contracture, adding strattice to prevent it from happening again, fixing my overall shape and hiding my scars. This was my 4th surgery and I'm so thankful to have found him. He did what all the previous doctors couldn't do. They've never looked more natural and I actually feel comfortable in my own skin again :) My experience: I'm from out of state so we had a very detailed virtual consultation. He answered all of my questions and explained what was going on with my asymmetry and how to fix it. I was impressed with how much he could tell over the phone and after YEARS of searching for the right surgeon to do my revision, I decided he was the most knowledge and loved his result photos the most. The process was very quick, I wanted to do the procedure as soon as possible and they told me they had ONE slot available for the month I wanted. I saw him the day of surgery and he went over everything again explaining what he was going to do and answering any last minute questions. I don't mean to sound dramatic but surgery was literally a breeze. The anesthesiologist was amazing, he's been in the practice for over 20 years. I was expecting to wake up in pain but I woke up to the most friendly staff, little to no pain, they kept me warm and called for my bf to pick me up. I only had to take my pain medication for one day, then switched to Tylenol. (I have a low pain tolerance so that's saying a lot lol) My first post op appt was the next day where he showed me how they look. I was obsessed better than expected! They checked in with me daily with phone calls seeing how I was doing. My final post op appointment was a week later and they gave me a new bra, told me what to do/expect moving forward and sent me on my way :) I'm one week post op and could not be more happy with my results.
