This is Ava's newest location in downtown Tigard, Main St. the whole building was recently built and it's very contemporary and Ava has the coffeehouse, the bakery, and a cocktail bar which I must come back for later. The staff were all very nice and they served sandwiches for lunch and breakfast along with a variety of hot and cold drinks, but right off the bat, I had to try the dark chocolate mocha and I picked wisely. Not too sweet and you can definitely taste the dark chocolate. It was so good! Lots of room to sit down with plenty of small tables and a large community table. It was a rainy day, but there is also lots of outside seating and a beautiful mural to state out while having your drink. Parking is a bit tight at times as it's downtown Tigard, but we managed to find something nearby. Great place to have a conversation with friends it even get some work done. I love that they also have a water station. It's bus your own tables, here. I did spy a small bookshelf with books in the back corner. I'm not sure if this is a community exchange, or they have books for sale, or just books to read whole you are there. I'll need to check that out next time. The display cases of pastries and cakes look amazing. We did try some strawberry shortcake (not pictured) and it was delicious and moist and not overly sweet. The sandwiches did feel a bit overpriced for what you get and my cream cheese pastry but did not enjoy it because it lacked enough cream cheese and he was disappointed. The space itself is beautiful with tall ceilings and tons of natural light. It's very clean, tons of seating options as well. The coffee was good and reasonably priced but the food was very overpriced in my opinion so I skipped on that. My biggest complaint is how slow the service is. There were only a handful of people inside (who all had their coffees already) and just an americano took over 10 minutes. Not sure if I will be returning since there are other coffee shops on the street. read more

great new coffee shop in tigard! friendly staff, beautiful & clean location, good coffee & good sandwiches. my only comment would be about the noise in there, which can get pretty loud with lots of stone (just to keep in mind if you're working here or having a meeting). love their outdoor seating. also the bar nextdoor is great! amazing espresso martinis for a really reasonable price. they mentioned they're still in the process of making their own coffee liqueur which i'm excited to try once done! read more

This newly opened Ava Roasteria located near downtown Tigard has a lot to offer! I've been to many of the other Ava locations around the Portland Metro area and can truly say that this one is the most unique. The location is pretty nice as it's located near other local shops off Main Street and there is even a trail that you can walk on that leads right to it. It has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating as seen in the pictures. The drinks and food options are all the same as the other locations but what makes this location unique is that there is a separate bakery and coffee cocktail lounge attached to the cafe with different food and drink options. The baristas were friendly to me when I ordered and I am a big fan of the bench seating in the cafe as well as the outlets located throughout. Overall, I greatly enjoyed this coffee shop/bakery and would highly recommend. read more

They have a great vibe going here with the a friendly open layout combined with a clean/classy design. The staff were friendly and informative when I asked about their coffee sources and food options. Probably don't go here....The food was extremely overpriced for the amount and quality. The audacity to charge $16.00 for a sandwich is wild, coupled with the awful customer service which was rude at worst and indifferent/dismissive at best. I was shocked at the price when I first walked in and the lady just started at us. Like we were bothering her. I ordered and asked a question, she was just really snide when answering so I gave her own energy back. They had our plates sitting on the counter and didn't call us to come grab them, I walked over and asked if they were our plates and the lady who took our order looked at me like, "thats what your ordered." Girl what?? It wasn't even busy. Highly recommend going to the coffee house down the street. read more

Don't waste your time or money with this place. Terrible customer service, and SO incredibly slow. They make it obvious that they don't care about their customers. The 1st time I visited, we waited in line for over 10 mins with no acknowledgment, so we walked out. Decided to give it one more try and it was the same. On Halloween my friend and I had dinner and drinks. My first visit was a fun and delicious experience. This is exactly what downtown Tigard needed. The building and spaces are beautiful. The coffee-influenced cocktails were excellent. My poke bowl was delicious. Service was outstanding. It was so much fun!! read more

I was really looking forward to having an Ava in downtown Tigard but I'm not sure I'll go back after my first experience. Pros: nice ambiance, delicious muffin Cons: incredibly slow service, egg bagel way overpriced and actually half the bagel was inedible. Hard as a rock. I don't know what you do to a bagel to make it that hard. No real flavor -just a bagel, egg and cheese for $13. Staff was barely civil. We thought all the food was easy overpriced except for the muffins. Coffee was ok but nothing special. I also do not understand why it takes over 20 min to make one bagel sandwich when there are hardly any people there and most of them have their order. Borderline rude staff as well. There are other coffee shops with friendly, efficient staff and reasonable prices. Really too bad. read more

Been coming here since opening. Staff are friendly. The spacious interior is clean and modern with lots of light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The outdoor seating area is beautiful, but WiFi signal isn't strong out there. I love their decaf roast. read more

Just wanted to recommend Ava Roasteria in Downtown Tigard. The Cafe, Bakery and Bar/Restaurant are all amazing. Luke and crew in Cafe are friendly, and the service is fast. Samples from the Bakery are yummy and the service, drinks and atmosphere from Gabe, Nate and crew in the lounge are good too. Try all 3 areas out, you won't be disappointed. read more
