The barista was very kind and we a had a nice chat about the area and found out she was from SoCal as well. The interior is nice with seating around the windows, looks like a nice spot to get some work done while enjoying a coffee.

Was wondering Sellwood and stepped into Plural Collective and found this coffee on the upstairs…read moreportion. They had a little taster pot with the Peru blend in it and I couldn't resist it. The Peru is smooth and tastes like a medium roast! They have other blends that I'll have to go back and get. Their little coffee area had a few smaller brands that I enjoy but can be harder to track down; Jacobson honey, meadowlands simply syrups, and Bitter Housewife bitters. I'll be back for more coffee and to look at the pottery dishes more closely! Removing one star because as I walked in the door I was greeted by a medium-small dog. It was all passive air sniffing and no contact by the pup but for a child walking with parents, a person with dog allergies/fears, or someone with a dog in their bag it could an issue. A simple hard to miss note on the door saying something like Dog on Duty, would go along way in avoiding potential issues.

This is not a modern type of place... it's more like a cozy spot where you run into neighbors and friends. The seating options are diverse and plentiful, so grab a warm beverage and plan to sit by the window for a while. Service was good, but not that distinctive either way. I ordered an Americano and it was ready fairly quickly. Prices were slightly above average for the market, but it was cool to be able to say that I was drinking something roasted by a local person. Street parking is available. It's a busy area but the shop is convenient for other errands in Sellwood. I probably wouldn't go out of my way based on this first experience, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back if a friend recommended that we meet there. Maybe the second time is the charm?

The staff were all very nice and they served sandwiches for lunch and breakfast along with a variety of hot and cold drinks, but right off the bat, I had to try the dark chocolate mocha and I picked wisely. Not too sweet and you can definitely taste the dark chocolate. It was so good! Lots of room to sit down with plenty of small tables and a large community table. It was a rainy day, but there is also lots of outside seating and a beautiful mural to state out while having your drink. Parking is a bit tight at times as it's downtown Tigard, but we managed to find something nearby. Great place to have a conversation with friends it even get some work done. I love that they also have a water station. It's bus your own tables, here. I did spy a small bookshelf with books in the back corner. I'm not sure if this is a community exchange, or they have books for sale, or just books to read whole you are there. I'll need to check that out next time. The display cases of pastries and cakes look amazing. We did try some strawberry shortcake (not pictured) and it was delicious and moist and not overly sweet. The sandwiches did feel a bit overpriced for what you get and my cream cheese pastry but did not enjoy it because it lacked enough cream cheese and he was disappointed. There were only a handful of people inside (who all had their coffees already) and just an americano took over 10 minutes. Not sure if I will be returning since there are other coffee shops on the street.
