Coffee Menu
Austin C.

This little coffee shop in Lake Oswego is a great spot to hunker down and read or do some work without any interruption. The menu is simple and the prices are around average for the drink you receive. I chose the iced mocha which was pretty well flavored compared to other coffee shops. The barista was working solo when we walked in and had a lot of drinks to make, nonetheless, he was very kind and offered to adjust the drinks to our liking which was a nice touch. Overall, we quite enjoyed this spot for the drinks and for the ambiance to sit down and do some work while we drank.

Bright space with joyful interior. Solid coffee and pastries. Late hours. Plenty of parking (but sloped lot).

I felt compelled to write this after seeing some reviews that really don't reflect my experience…read morehere at all. Morse is a small, locally owned shop run by a husband-and-wife team who are there every day, working incredibly hard. This isn't a corporate chain with rotating staff -- it's two people doing everything themselves, and they care deeply about their business. I've been coming here regularly, and what I see is consistency, quality, and pride in what they serve. The coffee is intentionally crafted and thoughtfully sourced -- it's not meant to taste like mass-produced chain coffee. If you appreciate well-roasted, specialty beans, you'll understand the difference. As for the "energy" or "smiling" comments -- I think sometimes people expect over-the-top hospitality that feels more scripted than genuine. What you get here is authenticity. They run a tight, efficient shop, and they maintain clear boundaries about outside drinks and seating during busy times. That's not rudeness -- that's protecting a small business with limited space. I've seen them keep the shop clean (yes, sometimes that means you'll smell cleaning products if they're sanitizing -- which I personally appreciate). I've seen them manage crowded mornings calmly. I've seen regulars greeted warmly. Running a small business six days a week is no small feat. They deserve support, not nitpicking over perceived tone or misunderstandings. If you value small businesses, high-quality coffee, and owners who take pride in what they do, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'll continue to support them and encourage others to do the same.

It was not the flavor profile I was looking for in a mocha but was otherwise well made. It's very clean inside and the modern design is nice. I'll look forward to trying other things on the menu hoping for better luck. Would be a great place to work or study, or to meet up with friends. Parking right out front.

This is a place that must be witnessed to really take in the full experience. It's an old A-frame…read morebuilding that has been modernized into a coffee and pastry shop. There is a great exterior patio area and the service is delightful. I honestly had never heard of a kolache before I visited this facility. I can honestly say that it's a unique but delicious pastry that comes with your choice of filling at this shop. I went with the OG and was definitely not disappointed. I was able to chat with the owner while I waited for my food and had a very lovely interaction. In general, the atmosphere is very friendly and seemed like a very family friendly environment. Definitely check it out if you want to have some quality service while trying a pastry you've probably never heard of... all at an affordable price and in a vintage style restaurant.

I think 2-3 per person is more than enough. I myself am good with two to myself, but we always get a few more so we can try more flavors. We got a few to go and my favorite was definitely the spicy sausage. The cream cheese danish was also phenomenal. The eggs inside were also super soft and not over cooked. I do wish they had a slightly bigger menu, while there were a number of kolaches, it really seemed to just be different combinations of egg, cheese, and some breakfast protien (sausage, bacon, etc.). So one is just egg, then another is egg and cheese, another is sausage, egg, and cheese, then just sausage and egg, etc. All the different combos make it seem like there's a lot, but the real flavor options didn't vary a ton. But I will 100% be back, as it's a great grab and go breakfast options that's super delicious.
