I haven't been back here in a while because my experiences haven't been great. So I thought I would give them another try. I ordered online and hoped for the best. I also added a tip to my order and my drink was still made incorrectly. I was charged for the added cold foam but there is no cold foam on my drink. It would've been an easy correction but my friend picked up the order and said it wasn't busy inside at all. I came here to meet a friend and had a cold brew, which was good. While it wasn't phenomenal or the best I've ever had, it was still enjoyable. The service was acceptable; the guy at the front was polite. Usually, I wouldn't write a review after just one visit and one item, but since I probably won't return for a while, I thought I'd share my thoughts. I like the place's clean atmosphere. One of my favorite features is the outdoor area. There's ample seating both inside and outside, and a fountain outside adds to the ambiance, even though it's near the road. The outdoor area feels somewhat shielded from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. I will likely come back to try some food or other drinks. read more

I ordered an iced Spiced Dirty Chai and boy did they deliver!! It was a very busy Thursday morning around 10am. There were about 10-12 in our party and the place was so loud we couldn't really hear each others conversation. This was my first visit to this location. Great pastries, sandwiches and coffee. It's a bit loud, and it's just regular tables and chairs. But if you need power for writing or working remotely they've got you covered more than any other coffee shop I've been to. The outside patio is also great during the handful of non-rainy Portland days. They don't have anything I can eat with my dietary restrictions that I'm interested in, but I do enjoy my tea lattes while I'm there. read more

While the service is wonderful and the tasty robust coffee is delicious, the WIFI s-u-c-k-s... It was so bad I could do nothing useful online. I like to give spots more than one chance before I leave a review to be fair and I don't like leaving negative ones. But come on Ava. It's a coffee shop. First of all I'm giving the few stars I have because the staff is nice and the ambiance is nice. Your bagels with egg are not only overpriced but not good. Zero flavor or seasoning, soggy greasy. So then I tried a regular toasted bagel with cream cheese. Pretty simple. I'm eating it as I write this, this bagel is stale, my jaw is tired from having to bite so hard to rip off a piece then having to chew this rubber. I highly recommend you revamp your bagel menu as it is the most simple morning food item with a bagel. The bagel tastes like it's been sitting out for weeks. Came here for the cannoli. Big mistake. It's actually closer to a chocolate eclair, but not a good one. The texture and flavors are all wrong. Nasty puff pastry and stiff chocolate. I threw it out. Want cannoli? Take the drive south to Salem instead, and go to The Little Cannoli Bakery. Well worth the effort, especially considering how bad it is here. read more

While I love those big bay windows, the service needs some work. I put down $55 for a friends and I's lunch, and didn't even receive the correct size of drink. To remedy this, the barista took the medium coffee, poured it into a large and steamed some fresh milk on top. So now I have lukewarm cup of brown milk. So worth it. I understand the youths of this town are holding this place together but some discipline needs to be enforced. Our sandwiches were ordered around 9:10 and it's currently 9:45. We were not informed about the malfunctioning oven until I walked up and asked at 9:30 how they were looking, they had just taken the bread out of the oven. I usually love Ava. I ordered an iced decaf vanilla latte and it was not decaf :(. I have a medical condition in which i can only drink decaf coffee so this was very serious for me. I am super upset as I immediately started having symptoms and had to stay home all day to take care of my health. Dear Ava staff, please be cautious about decaf orders, simple mistakes like this can be very serious. read more

Walked over to Ava's today with my dog for a mid day break, and the first thing I noticed is that they have now put up tents over their outdoor seating so that it is covered and you can stay dry, even if it is raining. Nice touch guys! I really like this new feature as I'm not personal eating indoors anywhere yet at this point, so I normally can only come hang out at your coffee shop in the summertime. So very well done. I went inside and got a breve latte (pretty much my go to drink when I can't decide what I want) which I must admit was ready much faster than usual, and then I just sat outside with my dog and relaxed for about a half hour. It was definitely chilly (heaters anyone?), but at least I didn't have to worry about getting rained on. read more

I've been an Ava fan for a long time. Beaverton location always had great customer service, and they always remembered my drink, and everyone there were so nice. But this Lake Oswego location which is right by my office, never have good employees. They all look depressed, they never smile, they never say hi or thank you, or sometimes they give dirty looks at customers. But I always end up coming here for convenience. But today's experience just made me telling myself that I'm not dropping any dime here ever again. The server Pegah, had the worst customer service ever with the worst attitude ever. Not coming back ever again. Ava isn't the same anymore. I don't know if it's under the new management, or they just stopped caring. read more

Really nice experience here. The regular coffee is excellent with a full bodied profile. The ambience is very peaceful with a relaxing courtyard. The pain au chocolat was delicious too, taking me back to the old country. Basically everything I could ever want in a café. read more

Bright and open with lots of 2 tops that can be rearranged into bigger tables, or split up for individuals. Parking lot is pretty tight and packed. They have an outdoor area with a fountain to drown out the road noise. Their Ava black tea was great - just a hint of fruitiness. read more

Great place to meet business contacts and friends. Love the space, coffee and snacks.

Located inside Kruse Village near the roundabout. Parking can be hard to find near this coffee shop so it's not uncommon to park a few aisles away and walk, like if you were going to Costco. I come to this coffee shop frequently and I've never had a bad experience here with the staff. If you order an espresso drink, sometimes it can take awhile to get if they're short staffed. That's why I don't come here if I'm in a hurry. I usually order their white mocha. Rich tasting and not at all the syrup-y sickly sweet kind of white mocha. It's solid, I think. I've also tried their eggnog latte during the holidays but wasn't a fan. You couldn't taste the eggnog. Their breakfast sandwiches are made to order and is served until 11AM. We've walked here a couple of times on the weekends for a little morning treat so far. It's currently 24 hours and I hope it stays that way! I love knowing that I can get a fix at any time of day/night/morning (we can start as early as 4:30 am at work sometimes). The ladies have always been super friendly. They have free wifi and there are some plugs near the seating for laptops. I've gotten their decaf lattes and A loves their camp fire s'mores mocha. Their breakfast sandwiches are made fresh to order with your choice from a few different breads, meats ($1 more), cheeses, and veggie toppings. Last time we got the salted caramel chocolate cupcake. It was delish! The cake was moist and the cream cheese frosting was lightly sweet. & that's coming from someone who is very picky about their cupcakes. I really want to like this place, but the tables are alway dirty with food crumbs and grime. The establishment has a spray bottle and paper towels, so I clean the table. The tint on the paper towel is very gross, deep gray. Not my jam anymore. read more

Although I have been here many times meeting clients, for some reasons I kept forgetting to check in... The seating area is pretty spacious. When the weather is nice, outdoor seating is available too. I enjoy their coffee and pastries. during warm weather they will either stay open for 24 hours or till late wee hour.
