Very tiny store with a few uncomfortable chairs. The small Americano is 12 ounce but only comes with one shot of espresso. So you have to pay the 16 ounce size if you want two shots. No other coffee shop does that since the standard is 2 shots. Starbucks will give you one shot but only in the 8 ounce size. read more

Lake O used to be a very upscale, la-dee-dah area and I suppose it still is (although they have had the main drag dug up for over a year so it's kind of like Dogpatch lately). Last year I bought a new muscle car and after a lot of research I found an independent repair shop that turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. They are right behind a really great car wash so I'm liking the area a lot more as I become more familiar with it. Rarely visit Lake O even though I've lived in this area (West Hills) for close to 40 years. All I know about it is attending PCC night classes at the high school there. So every time I bring my car by for work I try out a new eating establishment and was surprised/happy to find that there are so many really good ones walking distance from the shop. Recently added Coffee Plus to the list. They put out a fine breakfast and the coffee is quite good. And I make that recommendation acknowledging that I am a bona-fide coffee snob! I always favor locally owned, non-chain businesses whenever possible and apparently this is one of them. Nice staff. Efficient, friendly service. Reasonable prices. Tasty, filling meal. I've driven by this place often and finally decided to stop in. It is a very cute little coffee shop - the inside looked a little dated, but in a welcoming, 'we've been here a long time' way. I was really impressed by the selection of syrup flavors available. I ordered a cherry mocha - I know this is meant to be a sweet drink, but this was by far the sweetest mocha I've ever had. Stopped in for first time this morning. Breakfast sandwich (egg, bacon, cheese on English muffin) was great! Real fried egg, and cheese was melted and gooey, not a slice just thrown on at last second and still cold. Good coffee. Good local, small business. Will try to frequent more often. Great community spot I grew up in LO but only just discovered this place. The coffee is good but it's the community (and their fire bacon egg and cheese) that keeps me coming back. This lovely shop is the only coffee shop open on Christmas. We got 3 original breakfast sandwiches and a croissant sausage pepperjack sando. They were simple yet delightful. Then you realize the price of these at $3.75 & $4.75 and you become an immediate fan. Coffee was good (mocha, a cap, & some hot chocolates for kids), not the artisan coffees you're used to in Portland, but plenty good to enjoy the whole beverage and get the jolt you want for the day. Recently discovered this local coffee shop and I'm so glad I did. The breakfast sandwiches are simple yet delicious. I recommend the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant with extra bacon. Went here on vacation, website said that it was open at 7:30 AM and when we pulled up at 10:50 AM we were sad to see that it now closes on Saturdays and Sundays. The food looked really good online though. I'll update this review once I've had a chance to try the actual food! read more

My parents live in Lake Oswego. When I visit we walk the dog to Coffee Plus. My dad says this is some of the best coffee he has had. My mocha is one of the best I've had. This place is heads above the chains. So people, instead of driving by everyone morning, support you local business and stop at Coffee Plus. You will not be disappointed. It's a great neighborhood coffeehouse. It seems like a kind of place where everyone seems to know everyone, lots of regulars as this is a quiet residential area and this is the only coffeehouse between Bryant Road and SW 65th Avenue -- and the only independently owned coffeehouse as far as I know within the 2-mile radius. Having said, the quality of coffee is so-so if judged by the contemporary Portland or Seattle standard. Actually this place really reminds me of the 1990s when espresso was still a new thing. I've been here around 8 times and it's been consistent 4 star experience. The coffee/mochas/lattes are decent and the owner is always friendly. The biggest advantage is that it is located off the main boones ferry strip so service is fast and no lines, which helps me when I'm in a time crunch for lunch. read more
