It was just okay, food was good, but service, well our waiter was kinda mean and disrespectful, mean look. She only became nicer towards the end. I think she wanted a tip. I'm not going back to that location. They do have another one I believe in Tigered Oregon.
Make your reservation online, be sure to follow up with a phone call, because we didn't have a confirmation number that was to have been sent back to us. Waited several days to hear back from the lounge. Called them back on the day of the reservation, to get it ironed out. Take a couple of extra minutes to locate the lounge and get parking. The staff were so sweet and kind. The host explained the menu. This offerings has a little Asian twist, a little different from the usual offerings. It was a pleasant adventure.
Went for tea service with 3 friends. The food was okay, nothing remarkable. The tea was good, but not great. We did enjoy the ambiance and the service.
The inside is very cute; very Instagram-y. It's right on the water so it was relaxing to watch people drive remote control sailboats on the water while we dined. It definitely looked a lot larger inside than photos I had seen online. It seemed that there were three different rooms where you could be seated in addition to what appeared to be 2 private rooms for events. It was very quiet inside so- not that I go around shouting across the table at people- you do feel compelled to have quiet conversation during your visit. The staff was very friendly. We were there celebrating a birthday. They added a nice happy birthday topper to the tiered platter and offered to take a photo of us. It was really thoughtful. There was quite a bit of food which arrived on the platter. I didn't think that we would have so many options and left quite full. I probably could have skipped a couple bites and brought them home, but I wasn't about to be a quitter! The tea was steadily replenished with servers, adding warm water to the pot when they'd make their rounds. I misunderstood that the 20% added gratuity is not included in the price but rather is automatically added to your bill. So, what I thought would be a $120 bill ended up being $144. So, a bit pricey for small bites and tea (IMO) but a fun experience nonetheless.
This is my first time exploring a tea lounge and I loved my experience. The tea was brewed fresh with a lot of options including seasonal options and I got the pomegranate mist tea. My friends got the orange dreamsicle, pineapple zest, and classic English breakfast tea. All of them really flavorful and they meticulously kept an eye on the temperature to ensure that we have the best experience. They also gave the perfect tea timer for us to get some understanding on when the tea flavor is perfect for enjoying it more. They had a standard snacks menu served in tower style. We really loved the tea sandwiches and each one of them were delicious. My favorite one was cheese cucumber sandwich. They had an amazing spread of desserts and my favorite was the panna cotta with strawberry. The ambiance was very vibrant and beautiful. Overall, an amazing experience and really loved every bit of my time at this tea lounge. Must visit place if you want to explore a tea lounge.
Great location to get together with the ladies or as in our case, celebrate a baby shower! Service, food and tea were superb! Parking was confusing so call and ask when you get there. We'll be back for sure!

The website suggests entering in "DOJA Tea Lounge parking" into Google maps, instead of just the business name, and I would agree that is the way to go. Parking is in a nearby parking structure, and the business itself isn't visible from the street or larger parking lot. I think reservations are the best way to ensure a table here. Service was friendly and quick, and the only decision you have to make is the tea, since the food served with the tea is a set menu. The atmosphere was pleasant, with lots of plants, natural light, and interesting wall art. Outside the windows, there is a lake with ducks. For my tea, I went with English Breakfast, an old favorite of mine. The tea was served first, and the teapots were kept warm with tealights. That was a nice touch. The pots were clear, so keeping track of steeping time was easy. They also provided a little hourglass timer. They refilled hot water regularly, which was appreciated. They didn't ask if we wanted to try any other teas, which is a nice option at other tea places I've been. But I didn't ask either, so it might have been no problem to try another tea here. My tea was okay, not outstanding, but still tasty. The crystals of sugar took a while to dissolve in the tea, but that wasn't a huge deal. The food came out soon after the tea was served. Everything looked delicious, and proved to be! The highlights for me were the chimichurri roast beef sandwich, the herbed cream cheese cucumber & jicama sandwich, the pesto pinwheel and the chocolate cherry madeleine. The scone was probably my favorite, however. It had a great flavor on its own, perfect texture, and tasted amazing with the clotted cream, strawberry jam and lemon curd. By the time I got to the desserts, I was getting full, so they nicely packed up the last couple of treats to go. Of these, the strawberry cake was my favorite. They apparently change their menu seasonally, and have themes as well, like a 1920's tea coming up in November. I didn't find this information on their website, so if you are curious, it might be a good idea to call and get the details that way. Also, they are on Instagram, and that seemed to have more event and menu details. While not exactly inexpensive, this place provided a delicious and restorative tea experience, with some inventive riffs on the traditional afternoon tea offerings. I would definitely visit here again!
This was my first experience having High Tea and I feel like my expectations will now be based on this place because I had such an enjoyable experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive and always made sure to check in on us and refill our tea pots when they were low on liquid. I also enjoyed the Studio Ghibli music they were playing and it was at the right volume to where you can still have a conversation. The presentation down to the tiered delights gave for an awesome experience and everything was so tasty. From what we had, my personal favorites were the Chimichurri Roast Beef Sandwich, Scone with Clotted Cream, Jam, and Lemon Curd, as well as the Strawberry Custard Cake. They had a ton of options for teas and despite wanting to try it all, we actually ended up choosing the recommend pairings for our meal which were the Milky Oolong and the White Jasmine. Both were very delicious and came with cream as well as rock sugar to add to your preferred taste.
Had my second visit in to Doja yesterday and the experience has only improved since my first trip. Refined decor with a classic floral style in one room and more modern plant filled in another. They no longer have the "choose your own tea cup" walk in aspect which I had enjoyed so my cup coordinated with my fit but the photo op wall is still there which was nice for group event memories. The new menu was amazing and the service outstanding.
Such a cute and fun place to have some tea. My friend booked an appointment at opening (for 5) and we were seated right away. She had booked a gluten free menu for me. There was no one else inside. The server immediately came over and introduced what teas were being offered on the menu. There was a wide variety and I got the oolong tea. It was milky and creamy (by nature). You can get cream and sugar if you want. There was constant hot water refills just because it was so great on a cold fall morning. I wish I took a picture of the setup but I was just so excited that they prepared a completely gluten free menu for me. Just like the other neatly, tiered snacks, there was also the same for me. I was thrilled to see a place like this offer gluten free options for me. The snacks were endless and we weren't able to eat all of them. They even had a gluten free scone and toast. I felt very included because you wouldn't normally find a place like this. For all the gluten free people, come here! I would definitely come back here again. It was a great experience :)
We had a family gathering in Portland, and all the sisters and our mom decided to have an afternoon tea time! Our sister found DOJA Tea Lounge and we were all interested in the Asian-inspired flavors sprinkled into the menu. They rotate menus seasonally, so be sure to check out what they have in store! - PARKING - There's a parking lot across the pond - just beware of any limited-time spaces! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - We had a reservation right when they opened at 11am, and were promptly seated once we walked in. They have an extensive menu of teas to choose from, but you're only allowed to pick one and are unable to switch it out. Luckily since we had 4 of us, we all picked something different and were able to share that way. After they received our tea orders, they prepared the tiered bites and we were served shortly after. There's private rooms available, one of which was being used for a baby shower! The rest of the business is quite small, fitting only a few 2 or 4 person tables inside. - FOOD/DRINK - The teas were quite nice, and they made sure we waited 2 minutes for the tea to properly steep with a timer. They do come around with hot water in case you need a refill! There were a few things that stood out to me, a few things that were just OK, and one or two things that weren't the best. I really enjoyed the tea sandwiches - all of them had a unique flavor profile! I also liked their Choux Puff, which was very light and airy. The scones were just OK as it was very hard on the outside, but the clotted cream and curd made it better. I also felt the mini cakes were a hit or miss depending on the flavor. The Red Wine Pear Panna Cotta was my least favorite thing as the pear was soaked in red wine and was overwhelming. It was hard to get over that flavor to enjoy the rest of the dessert. - OVERALL - A nice way to enjoy an afternoon with your girlfriends, sisters, or other family members. I would definitely check their menu to see if there's anything you're interested in first, so you know what you're getting yourself into!
Impressed with this tea house. Food was very good, and we were very full by the end. We ended up having to take home leftovers. Tea selection was large. I went with my mother for my birthday and we had a great time. The reservation is for 2 hours and we were there almost the entire time. The staff was nice and replenished our tea when needed, but otherwise left us to talk and have our time. We really liked that. Only draw back is the price. Though most afternoon tea is priced in this range in the Portland area. Their themed or holiday teas are also more expensive, which I am bummed about because my mother and I liked our October visit so much we wanted to come back for the holidays.
Doja Tea Lounge is an absolute gem! This is my second time visiting-and I will definitely be coming back My large party and I had an unforgettable experience here, thanks to their fabulous food, exceptional hospitality, and the stunning new private dining hall. The scones were perfectly baked--flaky, buttery, and paired wonderfully with their house-made jams. We loved the creative and flavorful options on their special seasonal menu, which added a delightful touch to our gathering. And, of course, the variety of teas was second to none; there was something for everyone to enjoy. The new private dining hall is gorgeous--tastefully designed with a cozy yet elegant atmosphere, perfect for celebrating special occasions. The scenic setting, complete with a cute pond just outside, made the experience even more magical and photo-worthy. Doja Tea Lounge is a must-visit, whether you're hosting a big event or simply stopping by for a peaceful afternoon tea. I can't wait to come again!

I love how each tea lounge has their own vibe and uniqueness. This location is near the water and the space is open, yet calming. There is a room with a larger table and I would suggest to see if that is available if you have a group. We were a party of four enjoying an afternoon High Tea. We each selected 4 different teas and ALL were delicious. Some are available to purchase for home as well. You get a small pot and they do offer refills of hot water. They can accommodate some allergies/intolerances with the food. A variety of tasty options delivered, of course, on a tiered stand. They book up, so plan ahead and reserve a table if it's a firm plan and/or a special occasion. read more

Wow! What a fun unexpected high tea shop. A friend invited us and wow. From the clean and comfortable seating, the beautiful wall of plates, the kind and engaging server to the fun variety of sandwiches, pastries, and desserts and tea... this was a fantastic experience. Definitely not cheap but was worth it for a 2 hour event...and we left super full! We got to choose our tea first, we each got our own pot and they kept filling it with hot water. We were able to taste each others. There was a seasonal tea that was a kettle corn that was fun. I got the Japanese cherry blossom that was delicious. My favorite pastry was the hot pork hazelnut hand pie. The confit duck sandwich was my favorite of the tea sandwiches. My favorite dessert was pear tart. Apparently the food changes seasonally. This should be on your list for a special event! read more

Excellent service | Great menu variety | Lovely atmosphere I'm so happy we chose to come here and treat my mom to high tea for her birthday. We all left very full and happy. I booked an appointment online with no problems. Quick and easy and the business had excellent communication throughout before the day we showed up. Initially, I booked for 1 regular, 1 kid, 1 dairy-free, and 1 gluten-free menu. There were four of us in total. I am the only one that has food allergies: dairy, eggs, gluten, wheat, oat, almonds, blueberries, kiwi, peaches, brown rice, beef, black tea, and coffee bean... (Super unfortunate!) Honestly, I was really nervous wondering if they were able to accommodate my list of allergies, but wow, they did it! The morning of, I got a call from the owner who asked if I'd like to change my booking to accommodate 1 kid, 2 regular, and 1 allergy menu. Perfect! The interior is calming with lots of plants and beautiful tables and tea sets. We had the whole place to ourselves during our lunch appointment. They have a menu with a lot of different teas to choose from. I picked the tropical eden (green) tea off of the recommended tea list. Mmm, light and floral tasting. My 5yr old enjoyed her own drink, OJ. We were the first to try their new spring 2023 menu :) Kid menu (under 12): scone w/clotted cream, jelly & lemon curd cheddar gougeres bak kwa sausage roll chicken salad slider -- speculoos banana sandwich goji berry shortbread cookie -- lime coconut mousse cup strawberry tartlet -- Drinks available: OJ, hibiscus lemon soda, hot cocoa, Tisane (red nectar, ruby nectar, meadow) **My picky 5yr old LOVED everything minus the chicken salad slider. My mom and husband both LOVED it but it was a little too much for a kid's palette. I'm excited to see what they continue to do for this menu. ALLERGY menu (dairy, eggs, oat/wheat/gluten...see above) strawberry shrimp ceviche mint pesto cucumber black truffle 'egg' bite lemon myrtle cauliflower salad sandwich miso mushroom rillette sandwich (2) -- strawberry balsamic truffle passionfruit meringues -- cranberry orange mousse lime coconut mousse cup **I loved everything I had on my menu. Nothing was overpowering. I really enjoyed the miso mushroom sandwich - yum! I could eat more of the ceviche, it's so good! The fruit treats are light and delicious. We met the owner, Steve, who is the friendliest person! I am so thankful they are here and continue to make the business better. You can tell they take pride in their business and serve you with a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our high tea and already booked our next appointment for the following weekend. I love this cafe so much. They've changed their concept a few times since opening but I haven't been back since they changed to the afternoon tea service. We came to celebrate my mom's birthday and ordered an afternoon tea service set for us. It's great that they accommodate for dietary restrictions or needs, so I chose the dairy free menu for myself (they have gluten-free, allergy, and vegetarian/vegan options as well). I love that the menus are a great fusion of classic tea time food with Asian flavors incorporated. The interior of the cafe is very classy and romantic with many plants decorating the space. The server was super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu to us. The stand outs from the menu were the Herbed Shrimp Canapé, Miso Salmon Rillette Sandwich, Mint & Pesto Cucumber and Radish Sandwich, the Vegan Scone with the seasonal Omija Tea Jelly, and the Strawberry Balsamic Trifle. We enjoyed the sandwiches so much that we ended up ordering more. The jelly was so delicious that we also took the rest home to enjoy later. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a place to sip some tea and relax with a light afternoon meal, this is the place for you. read more

I've never had high tea before and my friend really wanted to try this place out for her birthday. This place was extremely confusing to find but if you just head toward the water, you'll find it near the bridge! The staff was very friendly and accommodating since we were about 15 minutes late from getting lost. The place itself was very cute with tea themed decor like rows of plates on the wall and lots of plants. read more
For my last meal in Portland, Oregon, we got afternoon tea at DOJA, and it was totally worth it! We made an appointment online in advance for a regular afternoon tea set ($48). They also offer a vegetarian option. We each got to choose one selection of tea of a list of 50+ to go along with our preset food selection. I chose a rose tea while my partner chose the genmaicha. You get a candlelight to keep your tea warm throughout your time there. We really enjoyed the savory bites, especially the hand pie. The sandwiches were OK. The sweets were also great, especially the matcha red bean Mont Blanc. I was going to dock a star for underbaked scones that we received, but they quickly remade new ones for us and even packed them to go when we reported it, so they get the star back for the service. It was a lot of food and we felt very full after (even without the scones!) DOJA is located in a beautiful waterfront location. There is parking, but finding the restaurant can be a bit of a struggle as maps leads you into an apartment complex. Look for the fountain! read more

Emailed for a reservation since previously, they didn't have the option for 10+ people. Communication was smooth with quick responses - they even made sure to ask if anyone had food allergies. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate us on a Thursday - very kind of them to take us in on a weekday that they don't typically open. We had the whole indoor space to ourselves like a private event. A lot of parking spaces available. What's cool was they're also right next to a lake! Gorgeous location. Love the interior ambiance and everyone had different sets of porcelain plates, teacup sets. The 3-tier bite sized food were delicious. Great selection of teas to try out (didn't take a photo of their book of tea), highly recommend venturing out to their extensive menu! Their menu is seasonal so feel free to check their website to see what their current menus are. I would say don't let the cover deceive you and try every item at least once! read more

My mom friend and I had such a fun and pleasant first afternoon tea experience with our daughters here! The girls really enjoyed it and one of them especially loved the clotted cream lol This cafe is located on the lake but they do have helpful instructions on parking on their website and the confirmation email. We still had trouble finding it but the staff were so helpful when I called for help! The lake is beautiful and filled with ducks so I can see how nice it would be to enjoy tea time here in the summer. We got the regular tea set but they have many accommodations (for a little extra) including gluten free, dairy free, etc for all to enjoy. For $48/person (the kiddos were not charged and were able to enjoy all the goodies too!) you get your own tea pot, they have lots of suggestions to go with the food they serve and a very extensive tea list for you to choose from. Time limit of 2 hours. We especially enjoyed the hibiscus fruity tea. I wish I took more pictures of the inside - they had a rack full of beautiful tea china sets, a plant wall, and loose teas for sale as well. This is a perfect afternoon outing with friends, mother-daughter fun, and just to experience something relaxing and new! read more
We had a reservation and the staff was very accommodating while we were trying to locate the place! It is a bit hidden but there is plenty of parking surrounding the area. The interior is very modern with decor and many plants. Loved the large windows to look out at the Tualatin Lake at the Commons! The music playing was classic, peaceful, and not offensive during the afternoon tea service. There was a nice selection and blends of teas. There was a tea light to keep the teapot warm but the staff also walked over and added more hot water if requested. Milk and sugar were also offered to accompany the tea. Most of the items on the menu were quite scrumptious! I applaud that they incorporate a fusion of flavors that are not commonly found in a traditional afternoon tea experience and the menu followed the citrus theme well. While they do provide a nice variety of items on the afternoon tea menu, the price for the actual amount of food is quite high. I wish they had more items a la carte in their display up front so we could purchase our favorite items from the menu. read more

If you enjoy quality tea and elevated sweet and savory tea snacks, then I would definitely recommend coming in for Doja's afternoon tea service. The location of the lounge is a lovely corner spot along Tualatin Lake at the Commons. When the weather is nice, the venue is particularly enjoyable to look out the large windows and see the sun's reflection on the lake while ducks leisurely make their jaunts around the water. When it comes to tea, they don't mess around... the menu is BIG. Like, 40-50 different kinds, kind of big. And many are directly imported from the source for quality. The tea menu is a great blend of traditional teas with creative blends as well. With that breadth of choice, there are many good ones with some standouts in the Dragonwell, White Peony, High Mountain Oolong and Ti Kwan Yin. A couple of months ago, I tried their first tea service menu centered on citrus and that one was pretty good... but their current floral flavor inspirations were surprisingly even better. Everything was really tasty with the complexity and balance of flavors and textures improving from the first menu iteration. My top three favorites were the red bean cherry blossom eclair (light and bright cream), jasmine choux au craquelin (wonderful jasmine infused light cream) and miso salmon rillette sandwich (which I almost literally inhaled... just YUM). Honorable mention goes to... everything else. They were all quite delicious! Tea and dessert are two of my absolute favorite things to consume in the world, so having a lovely establishment that gives me a quality fix of both is like setting a table full of presents in front me. This is such a nice, bright spot in a sea of culinary sameness. I thoroughly appreciate the complexity, creativity and execution of Doja's menu... and look forward to whatever new flavors they have in store for the future. read more

My wife has been to DOJA Tea Lounge for the afternoon tea -- alas, as an outing with her friends without me, so I hadn't been here yet. But the owners invited us to sit for the grand opening of the 4 course prix fixe dinner menu in late March. As a starting observation, the logistics of getting here and parking are easy! DOJA is located in Tualatin Commons, where there is ample parking including a garage with covered spaces. The restaurant looks out at the small lake in the middle of the Commons and is a very relaxing atmosphere. I've attached pictures of the menu and the items we tried. The starting appetizers were perfectly sized -- delicious and leaving ready for the next item. There was a lightly fried maitake (mushroom) that was so airy; salmon tartare on cucumber that is a nice mix of savory with watery crunch; and chicken liver mousse on crostini that was the right level of mildness to allow the flavor to come through on its own. Next was the salad. The field greens were (we learned from the owners) freshly harvested from a local farm. I like vinaigrette dressing as it is, but what this salad stand out were the sunflower seeds and the watermelon radish. I've never heard of watermelon radish, but it looks cool and here it was thin slices that were crisped to add texture to the salad. Then came the entrees. I ordered the steak and my wife ordered the salmon, but we shared so that we got to try both. I rarely eat steak these days, but I do remember how medium rare steak can really hit the spot. This steak might have verged on rare, and it was wonderful. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly. As for the salmon, which I love, I find that many places overcook it to where it is a bit tough. Not so here. Somehow the chef was able to prepare it so that the meat was tender while the skin was crispy. This is the way salmon should be prepared! Finally, the dessert was a great way to finish the meal with a combination of the dark chocolate cake, the sweet caramel sauce, and the sweet/tart charred citrus fruit slices. There were suggested wine taste pairings for each of the courses, but we don't drink alcohol, so they offered us tea. And since this is a tea lounge, there were plenty of selections. Overall, it was a relaxing ambience, and because it wasn't that busy, one of the owners (who was bringing the dishes out and clearing the used plates) spent time chatting with us about their business and future plans. They're nice people with an interesting story. This is definitely worth checking out! read more

What a lovely way to spend the afternoon to celebrate a belated Mother's Day. To start off, it was a beautiful sunny May day and the views of the lake were gorgeous. We had a reservation for 4 at noon and they sat us promptly at our table. The tables setting was adorable with each of us with our own pattern of china, a copy of the tea service and silver tea warming set. I believe there were over 53 teas to choose from - we ordered the island paradise, sweet almond, cocoa deluxe and caramel ambrosia. We asked for milk and sugar (it was a warm brown color, very rustic presentation). We waited for the tea to steep and were served our food quickly thereafter. Everything was delicious but the stand out favorites for the table were: the miso salmon rillette sandwich, cherry shortbread, scone with the clotted cream, lemon curd and jelly, raspberry lychee macaron, and lime carrot cake. The not so favorites were the mint pesto cucumber sandwich, the passion fruit tartlet and mochi muffin. They refilled out pots a second time with hot water and staff was super attentive. Each of us loved our tea selections! We had a two hour time slot and it was more than enough time to enjoy the tea service. There was a great photo op wall in one of the smaller rooms (different china plates as a background) and the design aesthetic read high tea in some areas. A few years ago it was a boba shop and it still has some remains of that decor and signage - they should fully commit to the tea vibe because it would be stunning if they did. Also it would be great if the staff had a little nicer uniform or dress code as the one that sat us wore a worn hoody. I don't expect formal dress or anything but business casual shirt and/or professional apron would've done the trick. read more

We enjoyed a perfect relaxing afternoon for our Mother-Daughter tea date. Last week was pretty hectic so we postponed our Mother's Day annual tea date. I enjoyed the sweet almond tea and mom had the midnight kisses tea. We tried a a variety of finger sandwiches that accompany the tea. Tasty desserts and a scone with clotted cream and lemon curd. Not super fancy and very comfortable. Super friendly service. Easy to make reservations online. read more
First tier. Mint pesto cucumber & radish tea sandwich was not good. Start with this one so your mouth gets cleaned with yummier food. Lemon myrtle chicken salad good. Miso salmon rillette was my favorite. It was sooo good. Herbed shrimp canapé, black truffle profiterole and the bak kwa sausage roll were all good. I liked the sausage roll the most of the three. Second tier. Scone with clotted cream, jelly and lemon curd. Jelly was the best to pair with scone. The scone was still warm, flaky and moist. Goji berry shortbread was okay. So was the raspberry lychee rose macaron. Took me by surprise because there was barely any filling. Third tier. Strawberry and champagne mousse cup was good but it felt too runny. Cherry blossom chèvre cheesecake was not good. I took a bite and didn't finish it. Same with the like chamomile cake. It was too sour for my taste. Overall, would visit again. Ambience is nice and decor is really pretty. They don't allow you to change the tea so pick a good choice. There's a 2 hour limit but we ate it all in like 30 minutes if not less. I really enjoyed my first taiyaki ice cream! Matcha ice cream with red bean filling inside the fish was the perfect combo. It felt like a large amount for the price. It's a cute shop; the counter's right in front of what feels like a side door. It took me a minute to see the "ring for service" doorbell but staff came out from the back promptly once I hit it. If you go to the left of the counter there's a large side room with additional seating and views of the lake. Or you can take your items outside and enjoy lakeside! Just watch out for the waterfowl - there are almost too many. Pro-tip: Google Maps is slightly off when driving, so it helps to know roughly where you're going. read more
We came into Doja tea lounge for an 1:30 pm afternoon tea reservation. We were greeted and brought to the back room which was quickly filled by the other parties. I liked all the windows because it meant we could entertain ourselves watching the kids making tik tok videos outside, ha! The tea list here is long - it was hard but fun to narrow it down to the teas we wanted to try. We also got mimosas because, why not? The food was brought out in the three tier trays and was focused on strawberries. It was a lovely spread - the sweets were all quite good. They make a good custard/ cream. I thought the tea sandwiches though were a little dry and the curried pea could have had more filing. The scones were also just okay - a bit on the soft side like maybe they were baked the day before - but the jam it came with was fantastic and overall they did a really great job with everything else. We'd come back for the next theme. read more
We were passing through Portland for a couple days and a friend recommended DOJA Tea Lounge. Side note: We're enormous fans of tea parties and will take any opportunity to have one. It was a super rainy and blustery day (Portland, right?) and a tea party was so refreshing. The owner seems to know everything about single tea/sandwich/dessert served. He very nicely explained all of our choices and made his own recommendations when asked. Just a fountain of fun knowledge and excellent stories. The tea was excellent, but we were waiting for the sandwich and pastry towers and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Everything was just perfect - see pictures. A point of warning: Arrive hungry. You will eat and eat and eat. I don't know when we'll be through Portland again, but we will 100% stop again. read more
DOJA Tea Lounge is located on the lake at Tualatin Commons. They offer a wide variety of tea drinks in addition to some wonderful artisinal desserts. Today I ordered their taiyaki ice cream treat. It consists of soft serve ice cream in your choice of flavor with assorted toppings and a taiyaki with your choice of filling. Taiyaki taste a bit like a waffle and are shaped like a fish. The taiyaki is perfect when paired with the ice cream. It's a delicious tasting treat! There is indoor seating available and possibly outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Service was pleasant and helpful. The WES and bus 76 stop nearby. I would recommend visiting DOJA whenever you're in the mood for a tasty treat! read more
