I have used AV Computer Repair twice. "The go to man". About two years ago he came to my house to deal with a printer issue. He was very honest and gave me a suggestion that actually cost him work. He told me it was cheaper to buy a new printer than for him to repair it. I have just used him again. My computer was in repair at a well known (I won't use their name for fear of violating these review guidelines) computer repair organization for two weeks. When it was ready I brought it home and it would not turn on. The fact that it would not turn on was known to them, it was in the list of issues on the repair order form, and they acknowledged to me verbally that it would not turn on. I suggested they check the on/off switch. After they replaced a memory board and did some other things they told me it was ready to go. I got home and it would not turn on !! I called AVCR, and despite the fact he was very busy (and he is), he said bring it in. First of all Ruben is one of the greatest business owner's I met out here in the city of Lancaster. Yet, I'm not going to lie that when I found out I was going to someone home and he was working out his garage. In the back of my mind I was wondering if I was doing the right thing. Was I handing over my computer to a hustler? I had fear that if I come back the garage will be shut down and if I knock on the door the house would be empty. I know I watch too many movies. Oh my goodness, my daughter found Raul and it has been the discovery in a long time. My daughter had Raul fix her laptop the other week and was happy with the service. I have been looking for a house call and found out Raul also did them. Fast forward to this morning. Raul came out set a New router for us(normally WiFi was Horrible, buffering, dropping, all the time). He walked us through the process so we could understand everything clearly. When my computer went haywire taking longer and freezing often, I wasn't only afraid of losing my data but also my photographic editing programs that I could not afford to replace. I highly recommend coming here! I used to believe my phone carrier would provide the best technical support but I was wrong. When in doubt I will always contact AvComputerRepair (Raul) for any tech issue in the future. My galaxy S6 would not hold a charge, was overheating, and wouldn't turn on. I was a bit nervous bringing my computer into some guy's garage in an unfamiliar neighborhood - but dont let that fool you. This guy is the real deal. Raul is very knowledgeable, uses high end professional software and a legit setup, and will walk you through exactly what he's doing. I took my PC in after a Windows upgrade messed up its ability to boot properly, and Raul fixed it within 2 hours. Don't be fooled by the garage. This is the best computer shop in the AV, by far. Raul is awesome at what he does, and the prices are actually fair.
