I'm a delivery driver who relies on their car for making a living as a college student. My older car had been having some problems so my friends suggested I buy a rebuilt alternator through Advanced Auto Parts online and they'd help install it. After the installation, my car worked normally for about a week then continued to die. After replacing the battery along with the rebuilt alternator, it was clear my culprit was the defective rebuilt alternator. I was forced to go to an auto repair shop to get a brand new alternator and another couple hundred dollars spent on the problem to finally have it fixed. My plan was to return the defective alternator back to Advanced Auto Parts to get my money back since it didn't work. After talking with Ken K. he told me that he didn't want to refund my alternator since he was concerned with meeting the stores quota for the quarter. I was immeadiately off-put by this comment because if their product didn't work, I wanted my money back. He kept prying me to return it to the store I had picked it up at because it was their problem - not his. He said he would be losing money by giving me a refund and I stated I had already lost enough money buying this product from Advanced Auto Parts and time out of working as a driver. I had to push to get him to give me a refund. This was the most unprofessional customer service interaction I have ever had in my life. He continued to try make an apathetic apology saying that he doesn't understand why a rebuilt alternator would be defective. After all was said and done, he said "I hope that doesn't happen next time and keep in mind you should return it to the store you picked your item up from" well Ken K, there won't be a next time thanks to your off putting social skills.

Missouri was in the throes of the aptly named Devil's Front Porch season recently and mom's car was having AC issues: cold on the right side and warm on the left. Yeah, no. On top of that - I can be very annoying with my anxiety, because as many know, car repairs cause immense financial stress, especially for a young adult like myself just coming into financial health. They will NEVER do a repair that doesn't need to me done, or upsell you without consent. This should be baseline, but I've experienced this so many other places, especially in Kirksville. The price of replacing my radiator had me feeling physically sick for days because I had no idea if it would total my car or not. They worked around the budget that I had said to find the most workable price for me, and then when my transmission shot in my car 2 weeks later, they found a way to connect a minor transmission repair to my radiator and gave it to me for free. Saving me, what could have been, 100-1k at other stores. Their customer service is off the charts, very knowledgeable and professional. I will continue to bring my car here for the coming years.

A simple search on yelp steered me clear of Mercedes of St Louis. Wow. Literally 1.5 stars, and it was horrible review after horrible review. I was NOT going there. At one point, I considered trading the car in and handed over my title to the dealership, but when I decided not to proceed with the trade-in, I was told the title had been accidentally destroyed. Since then, I have been given temporary dealer plates and repeatedly assured that a replacement title was requested. It has now been nearly three years, and I still do not have the title or the documents needed to properly register my vehicle. For almost one year, I have been unable to legally use the car because the dealer plates have expired multiple times, and now I am being told I cannot get any plates at all. That is completely unacceptable. I have continued faithfully making payments through Mercedes Finance and am nearly finished paying off the vehicle, yet I still cannot register it. Driving with expired plates is illegal and has caused me stress, inconvenience, and unnecessary expense. I have done everything I could to follow up and resolve this in good faith, but I keep getting the same vague answers and no real solution from Mercedes-Benz of Chesterfield. What makes this even more upsetting is that I expected Mercedes-level service from a luxury brand and specifically from Mercedes-Benz of Chesterfield. Instead, I have felt ignored, dismissed, and taken for granted. We even contacted Mercedes directly and were told the dealership had to submit the request, but the issue still remains unresolved. At this point, I have to ask how long a dealership request is supposed to take. I also cannot help but wonder whether I have been treated this way because I am a woman and a minority. Being ignored repeatedly has made me feel disrespected and looked down upon. Whether intentional or not, that is how this experience has felt. While Chris has been helpful and tried to assist above and beyond, even he has not been able to get answers or a solution from the team at Mercedes-Benz of Chesterfield. I appreciate his efforts, but I need action, accountability, and a real resolution. This has gone on far too long. A luxury brand should provide luxury service, and that has not been my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Chesterfield.
