Bought a car and extended warranty from Pundmann Ford. Have had vibration issues in the drivetrain since I bought it. Have had it back two times and each time the mechanic says he doesn't know what I am talking about. Service Counter folks always seem like they are being bothered to answer your concerns. It's a known issue with Explorers and Ford has issued Technical Bulletins. They had it for 4 days just to tell me they don't know what it is. Tried to reschedule it again, 2 months in advance and day before appt I can't get a loaner car. Not sure who can go without a car for a week these days. This place is a joke. I have never used them before and will never be going back. Wish I would have bought my car somewhere else. There are several Ford Dealerships in town, choose a different one. I now use Clement and their service is fantastic. read more

My 18 year old daughter bought her first car on her own, a 2019 Mustang from Pundmann Ford. The car had several minor problems and a couple expensive items. These items didn't show on the test drive so I can see how they were missed when getting the car ready to sell. The car came with a 50/50 warranty for 30 days from purchase and we knew the risks but felt comfortable buying from a reputable dealer. I spoke to Tim Pundmann and he was very responsive and helpful from the start. Tim not only fixed every issue without question he went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was completely satisfied with her purchase. I attempted to schedule a first oil change and have a recall taken care of (I just received the notice from Ford over the weekend) for my new F150. I went on their website to get the service dept. phone #, and their "chatbot" insisted on helping. After giving all info to chatbot, they said someone would contact me. Then later I get an email that someone will contact me. Then a little later I get a second email telling me I need to call their service department to schedule an appt, which is what I was trying to do in the first place. I call their service department, to schedule the oil change and recall (They weren't familiar with the recall, I had to give them all my information again and the recall number (they weren't familiar with it and had to look it up) and after giving them all of my info, they say their first available appointment is more than four weeks out. And as for the recall, they said will only look at it, and I will need to schedule for another, even later, appointment to get it fixed as they would need to order parts. I tell them to forget it. I then called Clement Ford in O'Fallon, MO, and speak to a very pleasant and knowledgeable person, who is able to schedule everything as early as two days from now. When I gave her my VIN, she brought up the recall notice I'd received even before I had a chance to mention it. They even offered pick-up and drop off. Although I only live a couple miles from Pundman Ford, I will not recommend Pundman Ford for service, and will drive farther to a more accommodating and knowledgeable dealership for all my service needs. read more

I have ordered parts from them twice. Both times it was a total fiasco. They don't call you when your parts are in despite saying they will. So they take your money and then seem utterly confused when you call to check the status. They can't find the order, they don't know the status, they transfer you 2-3 times. Same story both times. Terrible customer service and organizational skills. Last time I never got the part I ordered and ended up going to a small mechanic shop who coincidentally ordered the part from Pundmann, got it in that day and installed it. I had been waiting on that part for a year and they had it sitting there. this time after yelling at Sean, who was the only helpful person in the organization, I got an update on my part. We will see if it's there when I show up. I'm not optimistic. read more

I was attempting to leave a review on your page but it appears that capability has been turned off. In 2017 we bought a brand new Ford Explorer Sport from Pundmann, have been the only owners, and kept up with regular maintenance. At that time we also purchased a lifetime warranty. Our sales experience with you was top notch in 2017. In December of 2021, we began to experience some issues with the Explorer including transmission lag, irregular shifting and smoke from the dual super chargers. On December 20, we called to make an appointment and was told there were no appointments available until March 21, 2022. It seemed far fetched but we took the appointment knowing Covid has caused many issues with parts and workforce. March 21 arrived and we dropped the car off. My husband expected to get updates from the service advisor but instead was the one calling in weekly asking for an update. The assigned service advisor never answered his calls and rarely returned them. We went two months without a vehicle and then were placed on a loner car list after requesting this service since the diagnostic process was taking over two months. Today is August 12, 2022 and we are no closer to having our vehicle back in working order. We are approaching 5 months and have not been contacted by a service advisor, service manager, or the owners at Pundmann to communicate with us about what they are trying to do to help our situation. While we are grateful for having a loner car for three out of the five months it would seem that customer service is not of importance to the team at Pundmann Ford. We have heard multiple reasons that stem from not having parts, unqualified technicians, Ford mechanics not able to figure it out, on a list behind other vehicles needing repair, etc. It's sad that a dealership like Pundmann that used to have an amazing reputation has now declined so rapidly. It's also disappointing that the review section of your Facebook page is not receiving reviews and some have been deleted. Oct 26th,, brought 2024 F-150 under warranty, nail in tire,, sorry sir no time today to fix it, bring it back tomorrow, (guess do the best you can to keep air in it) dropped off early next morning,, ok sir,, pick it up at 2:30,, got a call just before 2pm,, we locking gates at 2 pm today,, and we couldn't fix tire, nail to close to edge, and we have no rod to get spare tire down to put on. I had to borrow a car to get my truck out side the gate,, then have someone bring me back up to get my truck. A brand new ROD was with NEW JACK in NEW truck dumb ass!!!!!!! The few times I've been there I feel like I'm being ignored. The customer service desk could be well-mannered. They have good deals. I don't know if other customers have been through this, but I don't like it. I mentioned this to another employee that last time I was there. I was told to be patient. That's fine. All they need to do is acknowledge you are there. It's just the front desk where you are checked in is the problem. Having good manners would make all the differece. read more

I wanted several PM items performed on my 1997 F250 HD. It was going to amount to just under $1,000.00. No small item to me. I did not have an appointment, but when I spoke to a service writer on the phone, he assured me that if I dropped the truck off they would "work my truck in" Well, after two full weeks, they only performed one service. I paid for it and picked my truck up to take elsewhere for the remaining services. I guess it's good for Pundmann Ford that they are "busy," but when that well drys up, I will be one of the customers that they don't have. read more

Only to be told by two different people that the time I called 4:30 and 1:30 were bad times to call the service department just got hit with calls. We drove nearly 5 hours to look at a specific car (which they were aware of beforehand) just to find out they wouldn't budge a single penny off the asking price. Sooo... Sometimes when I'm feeling frisky I love to hit curbs in my Ford Fusion. Not just a little love tap on the curb, I mean a full-on smack and then going completely up and over it. It's awesome, really. Today was one of those days. My friends at Pundmann (especially Joe, my BFF) came to my rescue again! I had AAA come change my tire, then I took it over to assess the damage. Somehow I knocked the hubcap off and bent the entire wheel (I'm talented, I'm telling you) but we managed to find a good used wheel for $300. My car was broken into last night and my extra car key was the only thing stolen. I called Pundmann's service center about recoding the key I drive with and getting a replacement for the stolen one. Going into the call, I assumed I would be low priority because it's probably not a high margin service with the potential for an up sell. This mindset was based on other Ford dealers I have taken my car to for routine service, including the one where I bought two vehicles from in the same weekend. Boy was I wrong! Rich Russell answered the phone and COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I explained the situation and he told me to come right in if I was close and had the time. I live fairly close and made the time. Rich took care of me 100%. Not only was he quick and efficient with the reprogram, he was on top of calling the after market, Ford remote start installation guy to set up a time to replace the fob for that. While I have to go back in when that guy is there, Rich made sure that there was a solution and he could ensure the safety of my property for the time being. I really feel like that effort took the service from 100% to 125%+. He didn't have to make those calls nor did he have to act like he cared. On top of the friendly, above the best service, he also let me know I could purchase an additional (what I call a valet key) key without the remote for $15. He let me know the benefit of having that second key is that if something happens and a key is lost or stolen, they don't have to charge the $106 reprogram fee as long as there are two active keys. Seriously, thank your Rich and Pundmann's service center for making the start of a crappy day a LOT better. I know where I will take my truck for all future services until it's time to replace. Tell Ford to release the Bronco and that sale can be sooner rather than later! Sincerely, thank you! read more

But that doesn't account for how the people that work in the Service Department treat people, their time and complete disregard for the cost involved with having Pundman Ford provide service work. In February I reached out online with interest in purchasing a Ford Fusion, Focus or possibly an Escape. I was unsure but was looking for more information and wanted to be contacted in hopes of scheduling a time that was convenient for both parties to do some test drives. I was contacted by Josh Vick, Internet Sales Manager for Pundmann Ford on 2/6. The email was a bit scripted and really only focused on one model, the Fusion. I get it, they're likely the highest in inventory on their lot and probably backed by Ford with the biggest rebates for the customer and spiffs for the dealer. On 2/7 I got another email that was titled "More Info Needed" to which I responded at my earliest availability on 2/8 with the specs and desired trim level/options. I got no response. On 2/9 I got a new email chain titled "Can I have a few Mins".... alright, not professional but I'll deal with it. This is the car industry after all. The email was requesting a call. Given my job, I couldn't just pick up the phone and chat. So I emailed back that I had emailed the day before and I really wish at some point they would call me. No response. On 2/12 I received a TEXT MESSAGE from him. He claimed he had not heard back from me (sounds like you possibly need to contact IT regarding your CRM.) and wanted to see if he could help. I let him know that I was no longer interested in working with Pundmann for my purchase and planned to look elsewhere. He continued to send lengthy messages throughout the day claiming he had called and left messages on 2/6 and 2/9 - both never received. Claimed he had emailed me back - again, never received. Ironically enough multiple emails and calls were received in that time frame regarding the house I was placing a down payment on. In the text messages he apologized, but it was almost like he just wanted to have the last word. On 2/15 I received an email from Dale Brown, Service Manager, saying they still wanted my service business even though they couldn't make the sale. I believe in dealer loyalty after a purchase, so that would never happen. Subsequently I was on Facebook about 2 weeks ago. There was an ad for Pundmann. I commented on it as a chuckle for my husband. I was then blocked from the Pundmann Ford Facebook page. Classy & professional group you have there. I will never suggest Pundmann Ford to any friends or family. As someone from Detroit with many family members who have retired from Ford Motor Company, and having multiple Ford vehicles in the driveways of my friends and family .... I will make sure that if they ever are in town that they stay away from this place. read more

Poor Customer Service! I bought a 2020 Ford Escape at the end of 2020. In July of this year we took it on a road trip only to find out it has water features. The air conditioning hose that works as a condensation collector backs up into the car because its too short causing the driver & passenger side to be immersed in water. This is a "KNOWN ISSUE" by Ford. They thought they fixed it. I took it on another road trip & experienced the same issue. So if this is a known issue WHY is it so hard to fix? My brand new car smells like mold & mildew. Replacement carpet was ordered back in August & still hasn't come in. I was initially told a few weeks. Pundmann has had my car for the second time to address this issue. I've now been without my car for 41 days! I have received ZERO updates. When I call the service dept I get transferred around & hung up on. No one seems to be able to just give me an update. I've been in contact with Ford Motor Co. & they were able to inform me that the carpet is delayed until November. It took me taking this matter to Twitter to get answers! Think about this before you buy from this establishment. This is my second car I bought from them. Never had a problem before & that's why I went back. Guess that was my first mistake & the second was buying a brand new Ford. read more

Q - How long does it take to put a new battery in a 2015 Ford Focus? A - Apparently a lot longer than one would think - (in the 2 day range, at least 24+ hours) at Pundmann Ford Service Dept in St Charles! Today, I am still waiting to get my car back from being towed to Pundmann yesterday morning. After not hearing from anyone at Pundmann all day, I called to get a status update, and was told the car "failed the battery test" and they were waiting for a new battery to be installed, and it would be ready to go before they closed at 8p last night. Never heard back from anyone the rest of the time yesterday. This morning I called about an hour after the service dept opened, only to find out the status of my car is the very same as it was yesterday when I called around 4p. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND PROBABLY WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN!!!! read more

I recently bought a new Ford Fusion from them after shopping around (Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Buick, Lincoln, Cadillac, Acura, Lexus, and others.) Two reasons: 1. The Pundmanns and their associates have always treated us well and been super helpful with all of our service needs, and 2. The current Fusion has everything we were looking for. All of the others had almost everything, but never had the full package that we wanted. Sales: Ask for Wilbur Mosee. DO NOT take your vehicle to be serviced here. I needed my brakes checked so I dropped it off on 6/10. They called a few times and let me know I needed all new rotors, brakes, and tires. Then they called and told me they needed more parts to do the alignment. After calling to check in every couple of days, I let the service desk know that Franco (the person in charge of my vehicle) had not ever answered my calls so I would like someone else to call me before the end of the day. They called me back 4 hours later saying it was done (6/23). 6 hours after picking it up after driving less than 25 miles, my car starts making a thumping sound, the ABS light starts flashing, and I had to pull over. After the AAA driver looked he said, "It looks like a little kid went in with a staple gun to the rotor." DO NOT waste your time on terrible customer service and even worse mechanics. read more

Rude, indifferent staff when dealing with a recall on my daughter's Focus. They insisted on making her buy other services and talked to her like she was a second class citizen. She had several recalls needed and they wouldn't even schedule her for another serious recall. This dealership is terrible. This is not about buying a car there. We would never look forward to going to purchase a new car because of the stereotypical sales approach. After buying our first vehicle from Tim 4 years ago, we have never considered anywhere else. We moved from Saint Charles a year and a half ago and just drove 10 hours from West Virginia to buy our fourth vehicle from him. If that gives you any idea how great the customer service and deals are there. Long time customer that will never do business with Pundmann ever again. Horrible customer service. Asked for an estimate for repair on my vehicle, was given three different numbers all higher than the last. When questioned as to why the difference they could not give me any other answer other than that they were "quotes". They went on to say that the price could go up or down depending on how many bolts they broke in the repair process, when called on that (if you break a bolt it's your problem not the customers btw) they began laughing in my face. You can be rude and ignorant to many but you will not do it to me and profit from doing so. Do not recommend, will not patronize, will let friends and family know how I was treated by their staff and will be sure to forward this to ford corporate as I'm sure they would like to see how their dealers treat long time loyal customers. read more

We have purchased several cars from Pundmann Ford. We have used the body shop repeatedly and have had our Ford F150 and Ford explorer serviced here in the past. We took our F150 in and had the timing chains replaced, spark plugs and Solenoids replaced, along with belts and gaskets. The radiator was drained in the process. The day we got the truck back we noticed it was leaking fluid, we called and got it back in the next day. They told us the drain plug on the radiator was leaking. There was no leak before they serviced it and when they were done it was leaking. They insist it is just coincidence. I find that hard to believe considering they drained the radiator. They refused to do anything to fix the problem, other than offer free labor on a new $1000 radiator. I will no longer do business with them if they can't stand behind their work. read more

One of the reasons I chose to look at Pundmann Ford in St Charles, MO is because of their high rating and how long they've been in business. And now I understand why. From the very first communication via email and throughout the phone conversations, the staff were kind, courteous, and extremely helpful. After I had made my decision, I flew 500 miles to pick up my car and one of their Internet sales associates picked me up at the airport! The entire staff treated me like family and made me feel at home. They addressed every question I had quickly and kindly and made it clear they were there to help in any way. If I lived closer, they would be my main service location as well. Most of the staff have been there for several years, a sign of a good employer. It was pretty obvious from speaking to other employees how proud they were to work for Pundmann Ford. I am definitely going to consider Pundmann Ford for my future vehicle considerations. I have to get service on work days and being able to work while I'm there would be appreciated. Con: Online appointment booking doesn't work well and their hours aren't always right.
