I have a car I bought about 6 months. The car has a battery from Autozone that goes by the brand "Duralast". It was produced in Nov 2020 and now in Aug 2021 has an internal short and won't charge up all the way and won't hold a charge. This is a $149.99 battery on their shelf. They took about 1.5 hours to try to charge it, told me its bad, then refused to honor the warranty because I didn't have a receipt and didn't purchase it with my phone number. Right, someone else purchased it less than a year ago and put it in the car that I bought. And they won't honor the warranty on an expensive battery well less than a year old. Some customer survise. Ultimately I went to Wallmart, bought a battery for 1/2 that price and the $150 Duralast battery "that couldn't" was given to them for the core charge. Will Autozone get more of my business, probably not. Would I recommend Duralast batteries to anyone, No. read more

This place has the attitude of do it my way and not very flexible. I went to a register to return a item (the one that does the actual has the card reader and return) and they can't work from that counter, you have to move over4 feet, start the process then move back. If they want to bounce around behind the counter that is great, they could have easily took the receipt started the return without bouncing me around. I know this sounds petty, but really bouncing people around because the system does not work seems like a burden. They could have easily could of handle this without bouncing me to another counter. If they want to run between machines that great, you just dont need me in front of each of your keyboards read more

On my To Do list was a windshield ice scraper. I'd sadly been using a credit card for a scraper for far too long (my last real scraper was left in my truck when I rolled it down a mountain: http://siksika-scottish.blogspot.com/2009/03/my-pony-threw-me-and-now-shes-dead.html). But yeah, this space has been many things over the years. I remember it first being a Boston Market. Then it was a Carl's Jr (yeah, Richland used to have one!!). And now here it is as an auto incarnation in a completely re-built building. The store is new and nice. The staff were friendly. And they had a nice black scraper/brush. This store is great. The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. If they don't have something they can get it for you. I am very impressed with their customer service. I called them about my 97 Camaro not starting. The guy on the phone listened to the engine sounds and pointed me in the right direction for troubleshooting. I had to call them probably 10 times over the course of a few days. They helped me diagnose my cars problem and I was able to get it fixed. I recommend this store to anyone! read more

I went in there to have my battery checked because it was giving me the signal that it was dying. I walked in and asked if they could check my battery and he said, come back at 11am when I have someone available. What? Come back at 11am? Seriously? I was in desperate need and he didn't want to come out and check it. I've had them do it before and it's so quick and simple. It's a device you take outside and just check. A few seconds. Really? Worst customer service EVER! I purchased a can of GMC Perfect match paint for my car. (I have touched up many cars with spray paint and never had a problem) Followed the instructions and the paint came out very diluted and ran streaks down my car that I cannot fix. Took the can back and explained the person expecting a refund or exchange and was told they would not take the can of paint back, but they could sell me more paint!!!Horrible customer service over a $8.00 can of paint that was defective and ruined my car!Take your $$ elsewhere!!! read more

I have always gone to Auto Zone for simple needs and I have always had good experiences, but my experience today was outstanding. Not only did their customer service person help me find what I needed, he installed it for me and also did a quick check as to why my check engine light was on. He offered great advice and got me in and out quickly. I will always go back when I need parts, advice or supplies for my car. read more
