This AutoZone location is located in a busy palaza and it's close to Cal State Northridge. I went looking for an item. Unfortunately, like many other locations, they told me it was out of stock. Store was well organized and they had most of the items in stock. The young gentleman who helped me was nice and friendly. My only complaint is that AutoZone should do a better job with their stocking. Most of the items are shown sold in stores online and show inventory, but when going to store they are out. Parking was easy and I was able to find a parking spot with no issues. read more

Went in the middle of the day and despite this location being near the new Trader Joes, there was plenty of parking. I easily parked, walked in, easily found the windshield wiper fluid which was on display near the enterance, and also I saw more on the other side of the store. I called AutoZone today with a simple question, but the experience was extremely frustrating. The employee put me on hold, I said, "Please don't put me on hold for 10 minutes." Instead of addressing the issue, he immediately hung up on me. When I called back, the same employee answered and claimed that I was the one who hung up, which was absolutely not true. This was unprofessional and showed a complete lack of accountability. To make sure it wasn't just me, I had my wife call on a separate line at the same time. They put her on hold as well while hanging up on me, which clearly shows this wasn't a misunderstanding, it was just poor customer service. I've always relied on AutoZone for parts and help, but this experience was extremely disappointing. This is a smaller AutoZone, but it's the customer service that I appreciate. Other locations around the area all have a serious issue with being able to get to an employee for help (beyond waiting in long, slow checkout lines) but not this location. I've never had an issue with finding someone to either point me in the right direction or help me work through what I needed. Even in instances when it's clear they might not be the most knowledgeable on the issue I'm having, they all have enough insight to help me make the right purchase. It's really much appreciated. I stopped by this AutoZone this morning because I needed to get some brake fluid for my Honda Accord and I was going to grab lunch with my friends across the street. I found parking easily because I came in the morning and it's in a decent size plaza. When I walked inside, this AutoZone store is pretty big. I first went to take a look at their car detailing products and they had some good selections. When it was time to pay, I talked to an employee about which brake fluid I needed. He told me to get DOT 3 for Honda so that's what he handed to me. I had a great time in the store and the worker was very helpful. read more

Very handy that from Mon-Sat, the store stays open until midnight (Sundays til 11pm). So if you need a part or anything for your car in a jiffy, the chances of getting what you need are high and concenient. Parking lot can be busy but theres plenty spots. The cashier greeted us promptly once we entered and the interior of the store is brightly lit and squeaky clean. We got helpful info from the manager when we asked if they did price matching (we were hoping to price match from Amazon) Price Match policies: No to items priced "on sale" online From Walmart.com, has to be the same day pickup pricing They do take pricing from O'Reillys / local shops & Big no to Amazon pricing. Came into autozone to buy something their online store said they had four of. When I came into the store I couldn't not find the item so I asked to see if they had it in the back. A female employee helped me look for it and turns out they didn't have it, she said she could order it for me and we agreed. She had mentioned that I could come get it the following the day. Come the following day I did not get a call so I called the store and was on hold for 20 mins, I hung up and just decided to pay the store a visit. When I got there another employee told me that I hadn't ordered anything even though I had a receipt. What ended up happening was the female employee charged me for one of the nonexistent items and never ordered my item. I got my money back but the whole experience was highly unprofessional. I'd also like to mention that every time I have come to this store the employees are just standing around laughing and not helping the costumers in line. read more

I want to return defective item,( Duralast pick up tool which I purchased 3 days before ."The staff seemed uninterested in assisting customers and I had to wait for over 20 minutes in line (3 salespeople and only on assisted to customers) When he take it from packages and try to fix, after refusing to pay back arguments:"it was used and it electronic (it's $12 simple spring with led lights )!!!! I entered the store today and it was absolutely packed. I am giving benefit of the doubt because it is a perpetually busy shopping center, on the weekend, and during the middle of the day. There were at least 8 people in front of me in a long line and only 2 employees visible (1 of which was also supporting a customer with his car parked in the front of the store). I think they need more employees but nobody was rude or anything. I don't think there is ever a time of day when this shopping center is not busy. read more

Would not recommend going here at all. Boss is an ass and I was told by an employee they couldn't help replace my headlight in the PM after 5 and to come in the morning when they could. I came in the morning when the employee told me and the guy at the desk who I assume was a manager or boss told me they don't do headlight replacements anymore and the employee wasn't supposed to tell me they could replace them. Came in to return a tool that was never used, the person helping me asked Miguel the Manager for advice in which Miguel tells him, "no he can't return it." To which the person helping me responds," So what do I tell the customer?" As if I wasn't standing right there - Long Story short, I went to another AutoZone and was given a full refund. Return Policy states: items must be in original packaging, and in original condition; In which it was. Do better guys, acting like the money was coming out of YOUR pocket. I go to this AutoZone quite frequently and there was seven staff members working while I was ignored for 15 to 20 minutes and they acted like I didn't exist. There only one person infront of me being helped. The manager miguel did not acknowledge me not once. It's extremely frustrating. All i needed was some damn coolant and not one person acknowledged me. At least one staff member should have took the initiative to put the scanner down and acknowledge me at least. Today, the manager came out to price match an item and refused to do so regardless of me doing so numerous times at the same location. Spent close to $500 At this location.. saw an item that was $10 off and when I tried to purchase it was full price. I showed them the sign advertising the deal and the cashier said "oh yeah this deal expired 8 days ago" if that's the case why is the sign still up? And how is that my mistake? Great auto zone customer here for over 20 years. Had an item to return never used that literally expired yesterday. I had misplaced the receipt and I finally found it today only to be told I can't return it with attitude and not even get store credit. I understand if it was used but it was brand new. Upset I still left purchasing more items that I actually needed. Thought I would ask the autozone by my house if they could help. The manager is a legend he said he understood how fast time goes with classic cars and seeing how it wasn't used he gave me the credit. If I could give this location less than 1 star, I would! My 19-year-old son went here and purchased an alternator. They said they didn't have a tester to ensure that the alternator worked, so he could purchase it and take it elsewhere to test it. The clerk at AutoZone who sold it to him then asked if he could just take it out of the store with his old box. He told her, "Sure." He didn't realize they were setting him up to scam him! My son took his newly purchased alternator to a store a couple miles away to get it tested; it failed the test, so he returned to AutoZone for a replacement or refund. They told him he couldn't get a refund because it was under warranty. He had only been gone for less than half an hour getting it tested. They told him he had to go to the next nearest AutoZone where the alternator was in stock, in Downtown Los Angeles. He called that location and they don't have a tester; so he went back inside and told them he didn't want to go all the way there. He just wanted a refund. Then they told him they couldn't give him a refund because he had already installed the alternator. He hadn't even left Northridge! He had driven all the way from our home in Camarillo to Northridge to buy this alternator. How in the world could he have gone back home to Camarillo to install the bad alternator, and then back out to Northridge to return it within an hour?! And why would he even try to after taking it to the tester place a couple miles away?! Obviously my son got angry and cussed them out. They wouldn't give him the alternator box that they kept. And then they asked him to leave because he used profanity out of frustration and anger. These people are scam artists and we will be taking legal action against these crooks if they don't right this wrong! read more
