I am so disappointed in Autozone and their policy with regards to batteries. So I purchased a battery on 12/28/21 with a two year warranty. The battery died in November 2023 right before the two year warranty was up. They are supposed to replace the battery with a new battery so why is this battery already worn out and its only been 9 months??? Something isnt right. I mean I would at least expect the battery to last a year, until December, honestly two years but a new battery dying in 9 months, what is the deal? The manager said it was nothing he could do, he was bound by the system. I am so tired of hearing humans say they can't do anything beyond what the computer allows. Who is in charge? The computer or the human? Life happens and things don't always work out how they should and so sometimes compassion has to intervene and we have to have some type of human intervention. Anyway, he said there was nothing I could do but take it up with the corporate office and I will but just know if you buy a battery and its under warranty, they will replace it but once its replaced, they write returned in the note section and it is considered an continuation of your warranty of the first battery and so the next battery, whatever happens, you are on your own once the first warranty expires. I happen to be in the area and I saw AUTOZONE where I was going in Burbank where I live because those people are very friendly and very nice and very helpful but since I was here I said, let me go in big mistake The guy there was so not nice and the line was long they only had two people working the man what I was assumed was the boss he didn't come out until the line was all the way around two aisles of the store. I did not understand it but his attitude was bad. He left the one young girl working by herself. She walked away to go get stuff out the back. But since this one is near our house and my dad wanted to come to this store, we went. I thought they would be low on wiper blades because the storm is coming tomorrow but they were mostly stock. They were busy when we came here but it wasn't so bad. They had 3 people working the paying station so it made things go by faster. I came to do a return through commercial and Adian was very helpful in processing my return as soon as I got there! However after my return was processed he explained to me that GARSON one of the managers on duty was going to give me my refund. However GARSON didn't acknowledge my existence and did not reassure me that he was going to give me my refund. About 10-15 minutes went by and I did not have my refund still and Garson still didn't even communicate to me that he was going to handle my refund. Finally after waiting an eternity Adian came out and nicely and professionally told me that there wasn't "proper change" yet I was handed the proper change. I went into the store last week and Bibi helped me while Peter was helping another customer. I told her what I was looking for and she took me right to it. We went back to the register to pay for it. As she was standing there, another man walked up and Bibi told him that he was not to come back into the store. She suspected he was trying to steal and this very petite young woman was not the least bit intimidated by this guy. I was impressed. She took my money and the young man left. He didn't give her any guff. He knew to go. Such courage for such a petite person. Then, I asked Peter if he would put the oil I had bought into my engine. He was very kind and did it. However he insisted that he will install the spare tire and that there was a Autozone 3 blocks away were I can get a repair kit to fix the tire. Came in right before they closed. The supervisor sold me spark plugs that weren't the right one for my car. I told him I need spark plugs if not I won't have a car to go home. The supervisor wanted me to come in the morning. He wanted me to sleep in my car. I didn't want to argue anymore with him because he kept giving me the same bs of its store policy to get a refund or exchange. Don't recommend coming to this autozone. Awful service. Do not shop here. Customer service was horrible. Was in line to make a quick purchase. The sales associates Edward and Claudia were helping customers at the register, when Edward decides to call out, "I can help the next person making a purchase," and ignoring the fact that i was literally the next person in line. He ended up helping the last customer in line instead of me. When i told him i was next and just wanted to purchase something, he DID NOT apologize at all, instead made it seem like it was my fault. Then Claudia had the nerve to tell me, "Don't be rude!" I did not appreciate both their attitudes. I don't know where they received their customer training skills, they should not be allowed to assist customers. I also work in customer service and there is no way that this would be tolerated. When i asked for the manager, Claudia said that the manager's name was located on the front of the store. When i called the number, i found out that the name of the manager was not accurate at all. There are other Auto Zone Stores closer to where I live, but I go to this location because it is hardly every "crazy busy" and they are most always helpful. Miguel is an excellent employee and if he is the one waiting on you, you hit the jackpot! Some of the other employees leave a little to be desired, but I usually get what I need here. read more
