Thank you so much for your help with replacing my car battery! I called earlier that day to check in to see if they had the battery I needed for my Camry and they told me I didn't need an appointment. I came in a few hours later and within minutes, they tested my battery, confirmed that I needed a replacement and boom! Replaced the battery, took care of my old battery and re-tested, and I was GOOD TO GO! Grateful for the quick service and the attentiveness to my situation. So glad that I came in when I did and that they were very friendly and helpful. They don't have a restroom available at this location, but it's fast enough (to change a car battery), that it hopefully is not a problem. Would definitely come back with any additional car needs because the staff was very helpful, and that is something I look for, especially when I need assistance with my car. I miss the days of strolling through Pep Boys and buying fun stuff for my car ever since they closed down. O'Reilly is the place that has everything from the best car cleaning supplies to lubricants to enhance my vehicles performance. The staff are super helpful and will go the extra mile to help out without making me feel embarrassed about asking. The hours are great. The locations are perfect if you reside in the Valley areas as I first went to the Laurel Canyon location and they didn't have my item in stock yet found that the Woodman location had it so I drove just a couple miles to get it. I explained to Rita that I am 72 years old and need someone to take it out of my trunk and bring it in the store. All she could say was that they are short handed. When I went to my car to get it myself, there was another nice employee outside who I asked for help and he said no problem. Once again O'Rielys auto parts impresses (have always had good experiences @ their service center locations) this time at the Woodman location. Shout out to Jaye who was at the service counter when I needed assistance ordering a part, I didn't know exactly which part I needed so he patiently came out to my car with me to identify which one. Part wasn't in but he ordered it and it came in the next day as promised. Shout out to Alberto the Mgr as well, he was especially courteous, and made sure I was well taken care of when I came in the next day to get my part. * TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! * I am so disappointed to write this review as I have frequented their business in other cities and have always had pleasant experiences with them. However, on my most recent visit, I was so rudely dismissed that I know I will never continue my business with this location ever again. I came here to buy windshield wipers because of all the rain coming into the city and I hadn't changed them in quite some time. The line wasn't particularly long, but I saw their manager Sc*** squabbling with some other guest in line because she was trying to change her car battery but he wouldn't go outside to check it because he wanted to "clear the line first." So when he ushered for me to be next, I said it was alright and that he should help her out first but he was really insistent on clearing the line he had and he even told her "PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE" (there were only 2 people behind me and it's not like we would have complained if he decided to help her out first). I was honestly appalled that he would even say that to a guest, and a manager at that! Anyways, he said it was fine even though you could tell the woman in front of me was visibly upset so I asked for windshield wipers for my car. I'm not even sure what possessed me to ask if they could change it for me since they couldn't even extend the kindness of helping this poor woman out but of course, he said no, they don't do services like that because I'm only paying for the parts. Now I don't know about you, but when a manager extends such hostility to both the guest in front of me AND myself, that makes me want to take my business elsewhere. I really hate inconveniencing myself and wasting time, but with such terrible customer service at this location I'll gladly drive a couple miles further out to Pep Boys where I know I'll be given the time of day. I ordered a part yesterday, I was told it would be ready by 9:30 am, I told the guy that I wouldn't be able to make it in the morning, I said I would get off at 7 pm. He said to come in and he would install the part for me. I show up at 7 pm, the part is there but now I need to come back during daytime for them to be able to install it. This business is not following the COVID health guidelines. I stopped by and couldn't believe that the employee who helped us did not wear a face covering. If I could give this store less than a star, I absolutely would. I waited nearly 20 minutes for someone to help me, and of course no one did. All I needed was a headlight for my car, and typically there's a book that lets you look up the part number for your vehicle. There was no such book, so I was stuck relying upon the people that work here, but since they were obviously too busy talking casually, I went outside and searched the Internet on my phone. Unfortunately, because the Internet isn't usually 100% accurate, I got the wrong lights. When I got home and tried to install them, of course they did not fit. I had to bring my mechanic to get a second opinion and SHOW the employee he was misinforming me and accusing me of doing some shady sh*t with a car battery after I had been given, not one but TWO faulty batteries from this place on the same day. Ok, so I like this store because they have a wide selection of things - so 4 stars for products, BUT, I almost walked out of the store because the stupid door buzzer doesn't stop dinging. If I worked there I would have quit in 5 minutes. It is ABSOLUTE TORTURE to shop in the store. Don't believe me, try looking at anything in the entire front isle. The dinging will never stop!! and it rings every time you move. The employees say it drives them nuts but they have no control over it. On 11-10-2018, Danny at this store tested my battery in my vehicle with the digital tester. He set the tester for 800 Cold Cranking Amps ( CCA ) the sticker on my existing battery clearly says 550 CCA so of coarse the battery test will fail. You figure out the rest. I believe most auto parts stores use this SCAM. Switching to Auto Zone on principal. Screw you O'Reilly. read more

The Manager Scott at this store has a bad attitude and poor customer service skills, I wonder what qualifies him to be a Manager. O'Reilly Corporate office should do something about it. I walked into the store and asked to speak to the Manager after I had been told by another employee to come back on Tuesday to speak to Scott about an item I was returning. When I walked into the store the employee who helped me pointed at Scott and said he is the manager I told you about you need to speak to him....FIRST words out of Scott's mouth were "Im off I cant talk" followed by being ignored. I stood in front of him for a few seconds while being ignored and asked him when he will be avaialable, and he responded saying "you have to come back where im here" as I stood their confused and asked him what days are you in the store (by the time I get off work you are not in) do you work on the weekends? his response was "No, I only work Tuesday through Saturday" As I stood there confused again trying to figure out if Saturday was still considered a weekend he walked away from me and ignored me as he prepared to leave. I understand you were having a family emergency, I don't discredit that family comes FIRST, but I am sure after you received a call from your corporate office you realized there were better options and ways of dealing with a customer...Time is precious for both the customer and emplyees. read more
