I had to jump start my car at work and went to AutoZone to ask if I could borrow tools to change my battery since I lived further away I didn't have any on hand. Larry told me he would change the battery for me, even though I begged him not to because I didn't want to be a burden. I offered him breakfast/lunch and he refused. Start my day with a dead car battery. This is a major problem. Our household has only one vehicle. Called Auto Zone to purchase a battery and explain my situation. Jeremey, the assistant manager, immediately came to my rescue. Within a half hour, he brought the battery to my home and installed it. After a false start at the Keller AutoZone, I learned that the ODB code reader can be borrowed, for free, from this store. To borrow it you essentially buy it (for around $150) and get a full refund when you return it. You have 30 days to return it, and I was told you can return it to any AutoZone. I choose to return it where I got it, as that only seems fair. Both during the pick up and return process the guys at this store were very helpful. If it turns out I need a part for my car, I'll probably buy from this store as a show of support. Thanks Kyle, and Mr. Cullen! PS. If you don't know about the code reader, you should. If your check engine light (CEL) comes on, the cause can be read from the on-board computer. Some autoshops will charge upwards of $75 to do this 1 minute process. Often times it something as simple as a bad gas cap. Other times it's more complicated, but at least you be heading into the shop with extra knowledge. Even if you don't need to borrow the tool, i.e. your car is running, pull into any AutoZone and they will read the code(s) for you. You can then use the Internet to figure corrective action and estimated costs. read more

I used to go to autozone for basic things and the service was always amazing but for this location the service was terrible. I was trying to get a battery for my car and I was in my work suit and I asked if they could help me remove the battery and no one would help me they gave me the tools and told me to remove the battery and bring it inside......I told them they I was having an issue with the box that was holding my battery in my Lexus and no one came to help...... The service here was just so poor to what I have came to know from autozone....I will just take my business elsewhere or I will go to Lexus and let them change it out for me. read more

So grateful to Joey and Ray! After purchasing a battery, one employee could not get my battery out in order to replace it. I was getting a jump start so I could take it to a mechanic when Joey and Ray - who were busy - jumped in and offered to help. Here in Texas we were experiencing record cold and electrical outages across the State. To make matters worse for my family, my mother-in-law's facility had to evacuate. She has severe Dementia. We were completely unprepared. I had taken my truck to search for firewood. Afterwards, I realized my battery was dying. After meeting with Stephanie at the Rufe Snow Autozone, (see review for that location), I was sent to the Western Center store. Upon my arrival, I met with the store manager (Joey) who had been expecting me. Unknown to Stephanie, the Western Center store was experiencing the electrical crisis as most of the State. Joey was expecting me, but advised that they would not be able to process my credit card. Anticipating this issue, I had a check with me. He was very gracious and accepted the check - having to hand write all the necessary information (warranty & receipt) the old fashioned way! Honestly, I got the impression, due to the crisis, that he would have allowed me to take the battery without payment until the crisis passed. After paying for the battery, another employee (Chris) took the battery to my truck. I fully intended on replacing it myself. (It was extremely cold). But, Chris insisted on replacing it for me, quickly and expertly. It is because of this kind of professionalism, courtesy and dedication to their customers, that I have been a customer of AutoZone for approximately 25+ years. Thank you. read more

Went here today to get lightbulbs for my Saturn ion and the cashier was nice enough to help me out and teach me how to change my lights. Super friendly but also was early afternoon when no one was there. So was easy to get the help that I needed for the parts I also needed for my moms car. read more

General manager rang up brake shoes instead of radiator fluid. When we realized and called to see how this could have happened, the general manager questioned us by stating, "well where are the brake shoes?" That's a good question, why don't you tell me where my $5 is that you overcharged me for a product I did not purchase. Needless to say, when we finally went in for the refund, we were told by an employee that they do not even sell that type of brake shoe that we were rung up for. We got our refund back but the general manager who works at this location has no customer service etiquette and thanks to him, they no longer have my business. read more

Sudden oil crisis and I limped it to this autozone. Grabbed a quart of oil and the transaction with Greg was quick. The icing on top was when he offered for me to borrow a funnel and some paper towels. Filled the car up enough to get it home and was on my way (after returning the funnel). Waiting for 15 minutes to by wiper blades that I thought were overpriced while he took care of a another man. About 10 minutes into my wait another man walks in. When the employee finished with the customer he was waiting n he asked the other man if he could help. Evidently white people are not wanted in this store. My lack of a Hispanic accent may have been the problem. I have used this place for years, and have never been treated like this. I considered trashing the place. Better to go somewhere else forever!
