They offer so many services free of charge and have very helpful and knowledgeable staff that you can tell the workers have a passion for cars. Everytime I need anything for my car; if it can be achieved here, its my first stop. Rufe Snow is my main store, and I love the ppl there. STEPHANIE IS AMAZING YOU SHOULD GIVE HER A RAISE!! She matched prices to give me the best deal on headlights and even let me help replace them which I am so grateful for because I want to learn more about diy car maintenance it saves so much money. They check your car with a diagnostics scan for free, replace headlights and windshield wipers for free, match prices of several competitors, if you own a business and have an EID tax ID you can get a discount I believe...they may throw in batteries too when you need that..they can pull up your year, make and model of your vehicle on their database and tell you which items are compatible with your car so it takes a lot of the guess work out of things. And theres many locations all over so you never have to drive far to get to one and ive had to practically drag my car to the nearest location kicking and screaming every mile when my spark plugs blew out on me.... Autozone is a life saver. read more

Free use of engine diagnostics tool is 5 stars in my book. Most shops will charge around $75 just to plug this tool in and tell you the code. Sometimes it's something as simple as you need a new gas cap. If you car won't run, but the CEL is on, you can "buy" the tool (loaner version), use it at your home, and bring it back for a full refund. Brilliant in my book, and a sure way to get my business too. read more

Joe A did a great job for me. He tested my battery and when I found out it was bad, I bought a new one, installed it myself, and went back to Joe A to get my alternator tested. Joe discovered that I had not properly connected my battery cables, so he fixed them for me. Then he tested the alternator. Its an old car, falling apart one piece at a time! But Joe was able to suggest a guy who could install a new alternator at minimum expense. Great service Joe! Thanks. read more

I did the obligatory "chick" thing tonight and managed to leave the gas station without the gas cap. I went back to the station, it was gone, so I headed to the Auto Zone around the corner. As I walked into the store, I also remembered that I needed wiper blades. No sooner did I walk two feet into the store, the gentleman asked what my make and model was - he'd look up the right ones for me. I told him I also needed a gas cap, and by the time I wandered to the counter, his coworker had already pulled the gas cap for me. We started to ring up those two items, and then Lonnie, the gentleman helping me had to ask, "Is there anything else we can help you out with today?" Well... My A/C has been whacking out mid-commute home, for the last 9 months or so (in the hot months, at least) and I didn't think to tell them to leave the car running to exhaust. So I asked the question. He took the time to come out, look under the hood and explain a couple of things that might be the culprit, and acknowledged that it wasn't the A/C itself, but one of the auxiliary parts. He also popped the new blades on, lickety split! I'm VERY pleased with the service I received at Auto Zone. They've always been my go-to place, but it's nice to be reminded why. read more

After exhausting all efforts to find the battery in their store, she found it at the Western Center location. I should note that we were experiencing record cold and electrical outages throughout the State of Texas. Fortunately, the Rufe Snow location was open. I have tried to be a loyal customer to Autozone for 25+ years, because of their overall professionalism, courtesy and exceptional dedication to help their customers. The service at this store has taken a serious nose dive in the last month. Looks like an employee turnover and not the new people are either too new to know anything or too lazy to care that anyone is in the store. I stood in the line to pay for at least 10 mins as one girl tried to figure out how to look up parts for the guy in front of me and the other employee played with some papers for a bit at another register/counter. Neither one said a word to me as I stood there for so long. Might have to just spend a couple extra bucks and go across the street to O'Reillys. Very disappointed as I've shopped here for years. read more

Had a car issue I wanted to buy spark plugs for my Malibu the sales manager was trying to get me to buy the most expensive plugs I told him what I wanted but he was being pushy trying make me buy what I didn't want I told him what i wanted he say we don't have them but the screen said different I went some where else to get my plug want be back to that one that's for sure bunch of idiots. The guys that work here are awesome. I came in with what I thought was a dying battery and they checked it for free. When it did indeed come back as a bad battery, I was helped with removing the old battery from my car. Now, my old battery had quite a bit of corrosion around the connectors. When the old battery was taken out, the negative connector (not the cord) snapped in two. The guy who was helping me, Kyle, put on a new connector after he cleaned the wires of corrosion (which took him 15 minutes) in the 100 degree Texas summer heat. He never once complained and was entirely helpful. This was honestly the best experience I've ever had doing maintenance on my car and I recommend this Auto Zone to anyone that enjoys good service and great attitudes. read more

Very dissapointed. Have been a long time auto zone customer. This location has replaced batteries for me in the past but after testing my battery and finding it to be bad I was told first that they don't install batteries. I spoke to manager and he said they could but I would have to leave the car and they could not guarantee they would get to it today as they were busy. I guess three cars parked out front = busy? The must be doing very well there if they didn't want my $200 for a new battery. Ended up going to Wall Mart and got comparable battery installed in 10 minutes and saved $80. Wont be giving them any more of my business. read more

Poor service, unknowledgeable, not enough staffing. Went to get a new break light and after taking the back panel off the bulb was jammed inside and I couldn't get it free, so I went inside, there was one older gentleman there and I asked him for help. He came out and tried and couldn't get it and went back in. Which is fine I appreciate the help but then he told me I needed to unscrew my whole brake light and gave me a socket wrench then went about helping and checking out other people. I went back outside and stared at the nuts and bolts holding it to the frame and I knew that wasn't the case. I took it back in and went across the street to O'Riley's where the gentleman there got it out for me. Without using a Wrench or taking my entire light off. He even put the light back in that I didn't need him too. 10/10 would reccomend O Riley's instead. While he was helping me, I saw two other people Come from the autozone across the street and get help. They need more staff and they need to re-evaluate their people they have working. read more
