Unexpectedly Run Out of Supplies?…read more It is that time of the year when we pull the Holiday decorations out of the basement. Going through box after box of "stuff" accumulated over the years we spotted a toy that we usually display. Opening the battery compartment I was dismayed to see batteries from "I don't know when" still installed. Needless to say, not only they were dead but there was that white crusty gunk on the contacts. Out to the garage I grabbed my trusty can of contact cleaner and found that it was as dry as those batteries. Rather than disappoint our granddaughter with a lifeless Santa, I drove the single mile to our neighborhood NAPA store. While I did learn that my original cans price tag promised many years of inflation, the replacement was still affordable. Back home I sprayed and rubbed the connections, installed new batteries, and Santa came to life! Storing the new can of contact cleaner next to a nine year old tube of dielectric grease, I thanked my lucky stars that reasonably priced help was right around the corner. It is really nice having support for stuff you rarely use handy for that unexpected emergency when it hits.

I decided to check the prices online compared to other auto parts stores and Napa had the best prices for what I needed. There was a promotion for 20% off when you ordered online and picked up in the store so I took advantage of that. I picked up the parts a few days later and the Assistant Manager Josie was friendly and gathered my parts quickly for me. She also helped me carry the parts to my car. I ended up not needing the rear rotors so I returned them a few days later which was also a smooth transaction. Next time I need parts Napa will be my go to,

Late afternoon Saturday the 29th of August I was returning from a trip across town on 435 when I…read morewas jolted by a terrifying noise that seemed to be coming from my Honda CRV! Not in a position to stop abruptly, I put on my emergency flashers and coasted to the side of the road . I discovered that the skid plate that protects the oil pan and other parts of the engine was dangling by one bolt , dragging below the car and making horrendous noise. Unable to reach the bolt to undo it and remove the skid plate. I drove a slowly as possible to the Jay Wolfe dealership on 103rd. I arrived at 4:45 pm and was pretty surprised when a gentleman kindly approached me Ze, introduced himself as Chase and let me know that he would open the service door and that I should pull in. He never said anything thing about the time - after all it was Saturday LATE- only that he was confident he would have me back in the road soon. About 40 minutes later he found me, talking to a new car salesman and handed me the key . He explained that he'd pounded the old skid plate back into shape and re-installed it on my 2020 Honda CRV. He also hypothesized that the skid plate which should have been held on by 4 bolts and 4 clips - had not been properly reinstalled after my last oil change ... I won't say who that was but it was NOT JAY WOLFE! Chase smiled and encouraged me to bring the car to them for the next oil change No big repair bill- no "sorry it's too late for us to help come back on Monday" - Just a level of service and friendliness that I can only describe as WOWWIE!!!I! You know that I will be back for I'll changes and more ! If you could have heard the atrocious noise and felt the fear that I felt - that a spark from the dragging skid plate could have engulfed me and my car in flames , you would share my sense of relief . Many dealers claim customer first slogans - Jay Wolfe follows through in their promise! Brad Lee 2000 W. 96th Street Leawood , Kansas 66206

We looked around on Google and Yelp for reviews of nearby auto shops and it seems this one has been highly recommended in reviews as trustworthy and has been around for a while. When I got there having not looked at pictures or anything, I was a bit confused. You cross the railroad tracks and there's a storage place and a white house with a chain link fence, surrounded by cars. If you pull around further there's a big blue garage with multiple doors, and a smaller entry door to the left. That's where you go in, and Don's office is to the left. I wasn't confident so I called and Steve answered. He was nice enough to come out and ensure I was in the right spot embarrassing but they treated me well regardless. Let me tell you, as a woman coming to auto shops I'm always prepared for being treated as though I don't know anything.... Definitely didn't get that vibe here at all. Everyone was super respectful and friendly. They got my car on a lift once I arrived and I meandered around the shop to stay out of the way. Even hearing how they talked with each other, there was joking around but mostly just shop talk and helping each other out. Didn't hear one cuss word either. Eventually Pat came around joking about what if they failed me on the inspection and we got to talking about a decal on my car (D&D related) with Steve. They're all nice guys and made me feel right at home. This place reminds me a lot of my grandpa's garage, just honest people doing honest service. At the end, Don told me my breaks will need some work but since it's around the holidays he assured me they should last til January. I shook his (and his mechanics) hands and thanked each of them. Needless to say, I will be back!
