Wow, went here to see how the cars were and we had a chance to try and test drive some of the vehicles here like the countrymen and mini cooper. I have purchased six MINIs over the past 15 years. While I usually work with my local Omaha dealership, I purchased my latest MINI from Baron. It was a mistake I won't make again. The 1-year SiriusXM subscription is a standard part of a new MINI lease, yet mine cut out after 90 days. When I contacted Sales Manager Samer Saba for help, I was met with immediate deflection. He insisted I use my local Omaha dealer because he "couldn't do it remotely." This is factually incorrect; SiriusXM is a satellite service, not a local radio tower. After doing the legwork myself, SiriusXM confirmed that Baron failed to process the Retail Delivery Record (RDR) correctly on 11/1. They left the car in "Demo Mode," which is why the signal died the moment the 90-day dealer timer expired. I provided Samer and Lisa F. with the VIN and Radio ID to fix this administrative error. Instead of solving it, they repeatedly ignored my emails or claimed they couldn't send a signal because I was "too far away." Their only solution was to tell me to go to go have my local dealership deal with it. When I finally held them accountable for their laziness and refusal to call SiriusXM to fix the registration, Samer Saba had the audacity to call me "abusive" for expecting them to honor their contract. Because Baron let the Demo period expire without registering the sale, the system now incorrectly tags my brand-new lease as a "Used" car, making it ineligible for the 12-month trial. My local Omaha dealer tried to help, but because of Baron's botched paperwork, they can only trigger 3-month "pre-owned" trials. Calling a loyal, 15-year brand enthusiast "abusive" to cover up a back-office mistake is a disgrace to the MINI name. If you value professional service and getting what you paid for, stay far away from Baron MINI and Samer Saba. read more

On Tuesday of this week, my vehicle was broken into. On Wednesday morning I placed a call to Baron Mini Cooper to see about a glass replacement. I spoke to a very nice woman named Sarah who gave me her direct line to call when I had the information from the insurance company to move forward to place the order for the glass and schedule the service. I called her later day. Leaving two messages that afternoon. And never received a phone call back. I was hoping to receive a phone call on Thursday. And still yet received no call and upon placing a call to her went directly into voicemail. I would not give this dealership a good rating because of this experience. I really don't understand why people don't find follow up to be important anymore. Very disappointing customer service. read more

I've dealt with a number of dealership service departments over the years, but this was hands-down the worst. The biggest issue was the complete lack of communication. I was told to bring my vehicle in at 5:30 PM for an appointment to diagnose a check engine light. Nearly 24 hours later--with no updates--I had to call them myself, only to find out they hadn't even started looking at it. Had I known it would sit untouched that long, I would've waited to bring it in when they were actually ready. Another full day went by, and with still not much progress, I told them to stop working on the car. I planned to pick it up and take it somewhere else. Frustrated, I texted their automated system and, admittedly, used some strong language out of sheer disbelief. In response, they told me they were putting my car on a flatbed and delivering it to my house--in pieces. Sure enough, the vehicle arrived with the valve cover removed, wires loose, bolts wrapped in a rag, and the engine partially disassembled. Who knows yet what parts are missing. To say I would never recommend this place is putting it lightly. Their complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect for customer property is appalling. read more

I am very disappointed in the service I was given at Baron Mini! I don't know in what world a person would agree to pay you guys $18,000 to fix a 2014 Mini Cooper! I took my car to two different service shops and neither of them even mentioned my car needing a whole new engine. They also questioned why Baron Mini's service man would be suggesting another $4k in work which I was told would have been part of the engine repair/replacement. Why would they charge an extra $4k?!? Also in the description of things that were checked and passed inspection by the Baron Mini service tech, included the horn. He said it was working, which I know was a lie! I had been trying to figure out which fuse controlled the horn because it wasn't working! The fact that Baron Mini's service person would lie about something so small as the horn working, when it clearly WAS NOT, makes me wonder if he was also lying and being manipulative about all the other work he said needed to be done! I asked if there was any way the mechanic could do all the other work minus replacing the engine so I could at least drive my vehicle back home. Mind you that was still gonna be $6,000 worth of work. He said no. He said I would need to get all the work done or nothing. He also said he couldn't clamp the hose back on because it was broken beyond repair. However, the other mechanics I took my car to, after I had to have it towed from Baron Mini, was able to clamp the hose back on with a new clamp. I am so disappointed and angry at the blatant attempt to get me to agree to $18,000 of unnecessary work on an 11 year old mini cooper! What was the plan here?! To make money? Is Baron Mini in need of money so bad that they would suggest unnecessary work to their customers? How often does this happen? I had been a loyal customer since I bought my mini in 2016! I would bring my car there for oil changes and up keep. The up keep was not cheap but I love my car and I entrusted Baron Mini for that up keep, but never again. Shame on ALL of the Baron Mini service shop personnel to include Sara at the front desk! Shamell on all of you!! I will be sharing this negative review of Baron Mini to as many people as I can! For context, I have purchased two cars from this dealership and have had them service my car every single time. So this review is coming from a very loyal customer. That being said, I was told at my last prepaid service that my right front tire had failed tread depth, my left front tire was close to failing, and a third tire had a bubble. All four tires would need replacing due to issues with having an older tire with three new ones. A tire alignment would also be necessary (this at least made sense). Grand total of $1400. I took the car to a tire specialty store. They said the tires were nowhere near needing replacement and should be rotated the next time I got my oil changed. My boyfriend had a similar experience with his Mini. Dealership said it needed four new tires. Another mechanic said no. Guess who got over 10,000 more miles on his tires before they actually needed replacing? read more

I'd leave less than one star if I could. I've been taking my mini in since I got it. They've always been super nice. The only issue, we've never been able to speak with an actual technician or anyone that is working with the actual car.. just the front desk people. I took my car in on August 5th, got it back the next day.. not even two days later my car was not starting but when it did start it sounded like I was driving a lawn mower. We ended up taking the car somewhere else, and they ended up showing us that not only did mini NOT look at any of the issues under the hood, but they didn't even do the services we paid for originally. Now im stuck with 1,000's more to owe in services. I'm super disappointed with this company as I love my car. Went in for an oil change "appointment", indicated I was waiting when I made appointment. 3 hours later I was given $5k quote for repairs. Took vehicle home and all oil dumped onto garage floor..first time vehicle ever leaked. Communication with dealer was the worse and they were unwilling to accept responsibility. They offered 20% off. Took to Goodyear and they made repairs. I will drive to Mini dealer in Columbia before I ever step into Baron. Great product, crappy service. There are alternatives in KC.​ read more

I took my wife's Mini Cooper to this place for an oil change. I told the new person working at the Service Department I wanted the MINI MAINTENANCE OIL SERVICES 3 years prepaid for $199 for MINIs for an oil change and needed an oil change. Well, it didn't happen. After work was complete, they didn't process my prepaid request and charged me $99.35. She asked the "Service Advisor" if it was possible to get the prepaid and use it for this service. She basically said, "no" and just ready to go home for the day, while dealing with other customer towards the end of the day. Additionally, the Service Advisor tried to brush it off by stating, I can get it next time it's no big deal since I'll be back in no time with the 10k miles. Unfortunately, she does not understand the point. It is my first time coming here, and disappointed with the customer service/relation received and attention to detail. read more

Unless your car's floor has dissolved and you're literally Fred Flintstoning it around town, so not bring your car to Baron Mini Cooper. I brought my car in for an oil change. After picking it up, I drove 25 miles on the car before the cooling reservoir cracked. I called Baron and informed them of what happened. The workers immediately got defensive and started placing blame on me. This was less than an hour after they changed my oil. A real whodunnit. A $50 oil change has now multiplied in cost to me. I've since had to scrape the car for parts before having to get an entirely new vehicle. Save yourself the trouble with mechanics trying to role-play as Mystery Inc. and take your Mystery Machine somewhere else. These people are pathetic. read more

If you would like rude and apathetic customer service, then Baron mini is the place to go. If you take your mini to Baron to address a recall notice about a possible issue with the "footwell module" that took four days to "inspect" before claiming every thing is in working order, but returns your vehicle to you with inoperable turning indicator lights, head lights, dashboard lights, hazard lights, but with all service lights operable and on at the same time, you're in luck! Baron mini will happily imply that you are the cause of the new issues you discovered just the following day. Don't want a courtesy vehicle for five days while your mini is not road worthy due to their incompetence? Great! Rest assured that one will not be offered and will be declined if requested. If you want to witness what was once the premier BMW and mini dealership in the KC area decline in quality so much that you will be canceling your pre-order for the next-gen mini SE, boy have I got the dealership for you. Most importantly, if one of their service members notices gay PRIDE themed property in your back seat, they will do you the favor of hiding it in your trunk and resetting all the buttons on your car stereo to play only gospel music and local christian programming. My wife and I purchased a 2024 Mini Countryman from this dealership. We purchased a 2014 Mini Cooper from Lisa Foell. We contacted Lisa Foell over the telephone and purchased the Mini Countryman. We were told because we were from out of state we could not pay cash. When we got to the dealership we had to meet with Jess in Finance. Jess informed us we could not pay cash and we had to make payments for at least 4 months. He tried to sell us an extended warranty for $8,000. As soon as we declined Jess's offer on the extended warranty he became rude. So rude we almost left this dealership. Then he said that he would take care of getting the car registered and licensed. We just received a bill for $237 that was not payed to the state of Arkansas by this dealership. Baron Mini outsourced there registration and license division that then charged us an extra $200 in addition to what we already paid. We prepaid for the registration fee. If there are any attorneys reading this we believe this is a scam being perpetrated by Baron Mini. Do yourself a favor and go to DesMoines, Iowa to buy a Mini Cooper. Or Tulsa, Oklahoma! read more

Lisa Foell, our sales person, did a great job. The Mini website allows you to track the progress of your order, and it arrived nearly a month earlier than expected! Delivery day was great fun. Lisa explained everything to us - in great detail. Jeff in finance got us thru all the paperwork with ease. And Samir, who had the job of switching plates, did it quickly despite the heat. This is sooooo long overdue. I bought a brand new 2012 mini from Baron. It's been a wonderful car. The experience was above and beyond. But here's what's happened in the 7 years since... the service department is hands down...THE BEST I've ever dealt with. EVERY single time I've ever needed anything, they have been 100% on point. I wanted so badly to buy another car from them this year due to the experience I have AFTER the purchase. However, we ended up going with their sister company BMW to get a bigger car and a little variety (I still have my 2012 mini). I literally feel this is the best service I receive for anything I do in the KC area. They should teach their hiring and training techniques to others (like Disney does). read more

I went to purchase a used car from there and everything about the car they put online was a lie. It was listed as a 2013 Audi premium plus which was a lie then it took them 30 minutes to cash my check but it took almost 10 days for me to get my car. I want to assume its just me that will have to go thru this kind of treatment. The question should be how to prevent this from happening again which they really don't care unless your buying a new car from them. Spent a couple hours here this past weekend looking for a new/leased vehicle. Everything about the visit was outstanding. Looked at two different Mini models, test drove both, and looked at the differences in payments between the two vehicles. Numbers were close to my budget but still a little more than what I wanted to pay. These guys are awesome. Normally, I would rather take a punch to the face than go into a dealership. The high pressure sales and misleading up-selling tactics that I have experienced elsewhere was non-existent during my visit to Baron. I thought the service department was exceptional in that the repair I came in for was completed under estimate and I was advised of conditions that will soon need repair without badgering me to do them on the spot. It did take longer than expected but I realize that mine is not the only car being worked on. The sales department allowed me to browse without stalking me, answered my questions fully and was very nice to deal with, probably indulged more than they should have considering that I was there for service and killing time. Getting your car serviced usually brings about the same feeling as going to the dentist, but not at Baron Mini service! From the time I call, to the time I leave my appointment, my experience is as easy as can be. It's easy to make an appointment. the lady in the appointment line is a joy to deal with and I love that I can choose to wait or get a loaner vehicle. I've done both depending on what I had going that day. They are so accommodating to your needs. Next when you arrive, you're greeted with a calm, happy service advisor who aims to please. They always clearly explain everything they are doing to the car or any other options they think I might need done now or in the future. Sure, they are selling products but it doesn't feel like that. It feels more like giving options with absolutely no pressure at all. The point is they are aiming to retain customers and create repeat customers loyal to Mini (such as myself!) and the service department is doing their part to make this happen. Based on the service department alone, I am Mini for life. Based on the sales department, the same rings true. My experience with sales when I purchased my car was fantastic. However, I can't seem to feel the same about financing. My experience was less than stellar over there and was border line a nightmare. I made tons of calls with no return call, had mistakes on loan documents that were never fixed and lots of other annoying behaviors that I won't bore you with or shame the rest of Baron Mini with, instead for my next Mini, I'll bring my own financing and happily deal with the sales and service departments. TRUST is key when dealing with service departments in general, and believe me, I'm always skeptical when verifying recommended and "needed" part and services.
