I've been waiting to write this review; until, everything is resolved, but I'm so frustrated right now. It's still not resolved. Bought a 2017 Mini Clubman from here, the sales side was AMAZING. Our salesman was patient and helpful. Get to the finance side. I will take some responsibility and say I should have read the paperwork better, but you shouldn't have to be super thorough to make sure you're not getting taken for a ride. I had my husband, mom and friend there with me. My friend is a frequent buyer of Baron's, he's bought three through them and after this experience, he's even thinking of buying his next mini elsewhere. Hopefully, carvana will have more minis in the future and we can cut out dealerships completely. When looking at the extra "packages" and gap insurance, my husband and I were talking it over because I really didn't want to pay $1K for gap insurance (recently refinanced and gap was $499 so yes gap insurance is cheaper elsewhere), after discussing we were told by the finance gentleman he would throw in an additional package at NO ADDITIONAL COST TO US. Well, that sounds like a great deal right? Can't pass up on that! Sign all the paperwork, including the gap and package which has $ amounts next to them but since it was no additional cost to me (aside from the gap) I figured they did something on the backend. Well a couple days later I talk with the finance company and realize it's 2300 more than it should be. Turns out the additional package (it's like some coating which they didn't put on my car and any scratches or car dings coverage) did cost me money. So my husband and I go back and forth with them constantly, having to twist finance guys arm just to even get a call back so finally my husband went up there. He then gets told it would have cost the same with or without it and here's how this goes: You can pay a higher interest which would charge you the same monthly or if you get a package they can get you a lower interest rate and it will be the same monthly. I don't know about you but I'd rather have the higher interest rate because I can refinance somewhere else at the lower total cost. However, the sales guy says "most people only care about the monthly cost not the total cost". Anyone out there not care about the total cost? Because I do since I'll be paying interest on all of that. So we go round and round being told they can only refund a certain amount because of the coating and we explained a coating was never put on my car. Finally, my friend who bought several cars with them gets a hold of Clay (the owner?). He then gets the finance manager involved and he explains what I stated above and after no response after 3 days my friend contact's Clay again who gets the finance manager to get back with me. They're going to refund me, yay!!! Except here it is over a month later and no check has been received by my bank who I financed my car with. I have emailed Nicholas Ballard (the finance manager) and called him twice with two voicemails and nothing. I just want to know where the check is at, I understand if the process takes a minute, that's fine. However, he told me the check would be mailed out 4 Fridays ago. So is it lost in the mail, was it mailed, is it in process? I don't know because I can't get any answers. So basically the sales and service side was amazing (because I did have to take it in for a rough idle), but the finance side was a nightmare, still is a nightmare. Honestly, finance elsewhere, have a check in hand and sure buy a car from there or buy with straight out cash, but do not finance with them where they can slip in additional items "at no additional cost to you" and "it's beneficial to you". Wish I could have had as great of an experience as others or even my friend who has gone through them 3 times, he never got extra things put in without his notice, but he filled out paperwork not an iPad so maybe that's the difference. I am not even sure where to start...my first experience with Baron was when I got an entirely new coolant system that took a little over 2 weeks to fix. Within 24 hours of having it replaced my mini overheated and was towed back to the dealership because they forgot to clamp my radiator hose on correctly. Not only did my car leak all of its coolant as soon as I drove off the lot but I had to wait another week to get my car back. Second experience I had was when I was getting a new cylinder head. Took two full months (8.5 weeks) just to get the diagnosis and approval from my warranty company. Once I got the car back, I once again had to take the car back within 24 hours because it would not start correctly and stuttered violently in neutral. It took another 2 weeks for me to get my car back, with a whole new set of problems that they had to fix after I already paid for my new cylinder head. These problems should have been found during the two months they had my car for diagnosis. After getting my car after this it was completely covered in sap from being parked under a spruce tree and had to be taken back AGAIN for a correct detail. Now, three days later, my car is still not starting correctly and stutters during neutral. Throughout this entire experience I have not been able to talk with a manager face to face. I have received emails and messages through my service manager but no direct contact. Last time I was in for my detail I asked to speak to a manager and he (his name is Clay) had the service adviser ask me to come back 5 days later when he had time to see me. I have sent in several surveys conveying my frustrations to a manger named Issac and still have received no solutions or managerial contact. I will sadly be selling my dream car until I can move to a city with a competent mini dealership. To say I am disappointed would be an under statement. read more

I purchased a used car there and arrived approved from Bank of America. The loan officer, his name was Will, produced all the paperwork which I signed. It said Bank of America on it. While I was filling out the paper work he tried to steer me to US Bank and even offered to kick me back $300 if I financed with them. I drove away and I guess he just changed me to US Bank whether I liked it or not. The loan paper work I got from US Bank had Bank of America crossed out. It's been three weeks and still no paperwork for me to get a plate put on it in my state. The rest of my experience there was a good one. The place is a little shady; take your time there so you are not misled. Talked to the manager Ryan who didn't seem to think my complaint warranted much priority. read more

after my posting on 6/26/2018, dealership reached out to make it right. I received full explanation of the services and the price was adjusted accordingly. The process was transparent and rebuilt my confidence in them. While I am a Consumer Reports reader and generally adverse to buying service contracts, with the way the contract is now explained and adjusted I would have bought it when I bought my car anyways as it saves me money and gives me a peace of mind. Finally, it's harder to make things right when they have gone initially wrong, but Baron MINI just did that. That's easier said than done. They did it honestly, in a transparent way, and quickly. That's why they deserve the 5 stars. read more

The service that I received on my 2006 Mini was far beyond anything I've experienced before. Not only did they diagnose the problem quicker and more accurately than the other shop but also found other problems than not needed attention. The loaner car was an unexpected perk. The staff's positive and outgoing attitude and attention to details was amazing. Issac made sure I knew what was happening, costs and even worked with my warranty company without complaint. Everyone should be this awesome! I will be back for more in the service department, all cars need it but Baron Mini will be at the top of my list when it time to retire this car. thanks guys! read more

Definitely thinking the great reviews here are a bunch of fakes. My experience started off looking all nice. However, after doing a terrible job handling a new customer who very clearly lacked information about buying a car and selling me a useless roadside assistance plan, things only went downhill from there. To call the responses from the office slow would be a compliment. I've needed help from them for weeks and I can't even get them to respond to a simple email! My worst experience was when I got a flat and contacted them to find out my roadside plan and couldn't find a single person in their offices who knew what I was talking about. I drive a 2008 Mini. As you might expect, I'm starting to need some basic repairs. I like how easily you can talk to the maintenance manager about the suggested repairs (computer generated analysis). Even though I got this LONG list of suggested repairs, we went through the list and determined what I REALLY need now. They even allowed me to use a $50 discount (monthly maintenance special) even though they bent the rules a little bit. The showroom is very cool, spotlessly clean with comfy, leather chairs and bottomless coffee or water, so waiting for a bit is very comfortable. When I know it's going to take a while, I request a loaner car. I LOVE getting a loaner car. It's so fun to test drive a new model all day. I also want to mention that I have driven in to Baron Mini dozens of times without an appointment and asked them how to do this or that (you know, all these computer driven things can be a little confusing) and they always help me with a cheerful attitude. While I was there, I ran into Samer. He made sure I knew about their upcoming Mini Halloween Party. Those guys throw AMAZING parties. You should go. read more

If I could give this dealership zero stars I would. Once we found the vehicle we wished to purchase, we spoke with Rayan Awad who assured us if we put a $500.00 deposit down, they would hold the vehicle until we arrived back in the states in 5 days. We signed a credit card authorization form and sent it back in with the agreement we would be purchasing the vehicle on Saturday. The next morning, we were contacted by the sales manager who informed us they had sold the vehicle the previous evening. They literally sold the vehicle right from under us even though we had a signed agreement. This is the most dishonest and shady thing I have ever dealt with from a dealership. Not only did you lose clients, you are going to lose potential business in the future. I will make sure to tell everyone I know about what transpired here. read more

Excellent customer care in the service department and in sales! I felt like the service department was very honest and genuinely looked out for my best interest. When it was time to trade in for a newer model there was zero pressure from sales and both of the reps I worked with were knowledgeable of the product.
