I wanted to give 5 stars for the parts manager - Joshua Luke - my boyfriend called prior to arriving asking for certain parts for his truck and told him we would be by to pick them up. When we arrived Joshua had all the parts right there at the front ready for us and also asked about another important part we needed. Superb customer service on his part. We went back about 4 times as we ran into other issues and needed different things but no fault to him at all. But when we went back to exchange a tube and Reggie helped my boyfriend this time - he needed to return the tube he got for another and he gave him a return receipt and then told him to wait in the line again after he already did. I bought wipers at the 4195 Van Buren Blvd Riverside, CA 92503 location a few months ago. I haven't really had to use them since I bought them until yesterday. When I turned them on, they're shimming across the windshield, missing the entire bottom of my windshield and squeaking, so I stopped at the same store on my way home and explained to the guy at the counter what was happening. He came out to check if they were installed correctly, and said they need to be snapped in better than they were. So he took them off and reinstalled them. Had me try them and they did the same thing. He made a comment, if it wasn't the wipers, it might be the arm, but that the arm looks really good. He then says, let me go ask someone. I follow him into the store a couple of steps behind and they were already discussing it when I came in. The guy sitting on a small stool behind the counter said it's the arms. I said, I don't believe you, how is it both arms went bad at the exact same time. He said, Well it's the arms. I'm thinking I have 2 new wipers and they both are doing the same thing, it's got to be the wipers, and then they say, do you have your receipt? Why would I keep a receipt from months ago for 2 wipers? Needless to say I received NO HELP whatsoever. Hmm, this is the same store I went to for a oil filter for my lawn mower and they told me they didn't have it. Didn't even bother to look it up. So I went to another store down the street, he looked it up and said his store is out of stock, BUT I can go to the store I had just left because they have 3 in stock! Are you kidding me? This is the worse Autozone! The employees are too busy talking with each other to care at all about the customers. read more

At the front desk there is a young tall blonde guy with the worst attitude. I purchased parts at another auto zone and they told me to come pick them up at this location off of California. When I got there this young guy right off the bat had attitude and I could tell he didn't want to help. Didn't greet, didn't say goodbye. I asked him if one of the parts was correct and he stared at me and just stated, "well I don't know your car yet." He continued to give me a blank stare and I said, "are you asking me what car I have?" Has a horrible attitude and should not be working in customer service. I call back at 6:15 trying to find out where my parts are and I'm told 7pm and that they lied to me earlier when I was told 5pm. This morning I had an unpleasant experience with the manager of AutoZone on 2955 Van Buren Blvd Space G1, Riverside, CA 92503. An experience I had never encountered before and which I did not think was possible. My husband called this store to ask about a power steering pump and asked the person with whom he was on the phone to put it on hold so that he would come later to pick it up. In an hour, I went to pick up that part. Still, it was not in the hold, the person he spoke to on the phone was not in the store, but while two employees were looking for the part, another employee entered the store and said that she was the one who spoke on the phone and simply said that " I didn't put it in the hold. " When I heard this, I asked just a simple question: Is it sense to call ahead and ask you to hold certain parts? One answered that they were very busy and did not have time. My mistake was that I looked in the store where there were only two customers (including me), and I remarked, "The store doesn't seem too busy today." The manager (later I found out that she was the store manager) said that I offended her employees and she doesn't allow such a thing and that she won't sell me anything, that she has the right to refuse me. I asked her why she rejected me, just because I noticed that the employees didn't do their job correctly? Then she threatened me that she would call security. I asked again why she needed protection? I didn't make a scene, and I didn't shout at them. I didn't swear at them, and only I remarked that it didn't seem like a busy day. She replied that she had a legal right to refuse me and would do so. Then I saw that she abused her function, and I said, well, my husband needs that pump, and I apologized to them and wanted to buy it, but in vain, she abused her position, saying that she had the right to refuse me and she doesn't wouldn't sell me anything. Then she abusively told me to leave the store, or she would call the police. I asked again why she needed the police? I didn't do anything wrong; I was just upset because her employees didn't do their job correctly, but I didn't yell at them; I wasn't abusive to shout something in the store. Of course, I left saying I would do a bad review and a complaint to BBB. I'm not asking you to take my word for it; check the recording on the surveillance cameras, and you'll be convinced that my voice will barely be heard. I speak English with an accent, so I do not like to talk much and do not yell. She wanted to look like she was on the side of her employees, which wasn't bad if she wasn't abusing her position toward a customer. I consider her attitude was abusive because of my accent and even racist. read more

I went in to Autozone and the associates where so helpful, I accidentally put my autokey in the washing machine and my car would not start so I thought that maybe opening up the key and drying it out and replacing the battery might do the trick, I bought the battery and the associates explained to me how to take apart the key and battery and how to put it back together, well it worked and my car starts now!! thank you autozone!! read more

If I could given it 0 stars I would've. When I walked in every single employee was standing around and I needed help with reading the codes for my check engine light. He just handed us the tool and when I told him I didn't know how to use it he just told me to "plug it in" and when I got the paper and asked what the codes were he told me to "google it" and proceeded to walk away continuing his conversation with the other workers. Month and I visit many different locations and I find most of them quite pleasant of a shopping experience as well as informative and helpful staff but the location on vanburen in riverside is the worst the store was fine but the staff very rude makeing rude comment said between the employees then the interaction between me and the before mentioned employees his brazen behavior was then focused now on me and he didnt even bother to ask if was a rewards member I had to tell him I am a rewards member I wont ever go here again read more

Came in for a battery today and was going to take it home and do it myself, when Jose(sales manager) was ringing me up for the battery, asked if I would like assistance today and installed it himself. Absolutely terrible service and managers have a serious attitude problem. I was shorted 2 spark plugs (totally by accident) and the employee that shorted me felt bad and reached out. He's awesome. The managers is where the problem is. My vehicle had the plugs all pulled out and was jacked up as I had to access it through the wheel well. I was hoping they could send a driver (as they do drive to shops) to my home which is less than a mile away. They refused. After this I decided I will just return the plugs and buy from o'reilly since Autozone couldn't help me. After I had to push my vehicle out of the driveway and up a hill (took 4 people) I was Able to get in my dad's truck and head out to O'REILLY. where I actually got 6 plugs. I installed them the next day after having to Uber to and from work in the morning. Then I go to Autozone to return them and their manager refused to accept the return. At this point I took a photo of the spark plugs sitting on their counter, the manager yelled at me to which I only could describe as a 'Karen' screaming at me that I can't take pictures... Well first of all I hope she's reading this so that she can understand even IF I took a picture of her inside of a public building (place of business) that has security cameras you legally speaking have NO ASSUMPTION OF PRIVACY. So 'Karen', you're wrong. I CAN take a photo to support my claim with my credit card company. My dad has been using this Autozone for over 20 years. I've been using it for about 7. I'm a project car kind of guy always working on Vehicles. I've never had an issue at AutoZone up until this point but the way you handled me as a customer and your childish Karen remarks were laughable. At this point I will no longer be spending a penny at this store and will only be doing warranty services on any parts if they arise. read more

The busiest Auto Zone on the planet. Every time I stop in here, there's always a line at least 4 deep. The store isn't that large. Come to think of it, none of the Auto Zones are that large. Thankfully the guys that work here keep the line moving and they're fairly knowledgeable about vehicle maintenance on non-European models. But if you really need to buy an emergency part like a bulb, battery or oil, I suggest going to the Kragen on Arlington. They NEVER have a line. Busy, busy, busy... read more

This store is super shady! I came in to get a few items to do some routine work on my car. The price I was quoted over the phone didn't match the price I paid in the store. When I did go in they rang me up on one register my total came out to $88 and some change. I swiped my card it said it was approved and they told me that there was an error. So then they moved me to another register, I didn't add any items to my purchase and the price went up to $137 and some change. I don't understand how my purchase to go up almost $60 for the same items. Then when I tried to have the cashier explain to me why the price jumped up so high, she gave me an attitude like it was a normal thing there. I went to this store on 4/17/2015. I waited in line for a long amount of time. More then 30 minutes and only 2 people in front of me. Finally I was next in line at the front of the line I was and then the phone rings as Steven calls me up to help me, He puts his hand/finger up practically in my face to tell me to wait. 1st off that is just RUDE!!! Then he proceeds to talk to some guy, joke around and talk about other employees on the phone who is either his buddy or an employee at another store. IT was just ridiculous and RUDE!!! His conversation on the phone went on for over 10 minutes, then he put the call on hold walked to the back grabbed some boxes read off some information to the caller, then asked them what they were working on or trying to do, the gossiped some more about who is who and where such and such a person is now and how he is doing and they are doing and so on and so on, then he finally hung up and offered to help me. I asked the guy are you for reals, that was and is just ridiculous and uncalled for, why would you have me wait so long in line and then put your hand in my face practically and then bs with some buddy of yours on the phone? His response was, "THATS MY JOB!" I told him that was ridiculous and wanted to talk to the store manager, he replied, "You are looking at me." Really I asked him, that is just rude. I told him that I was going to call the corporate office and let them know how he treated me and what he had done and his reply was" Well mam, you aint going to get me fired if that's what you trying to do." I said excuse me, I never said that, he said what I said tried to get you fired, he then replied I didn't say that, I said yes you just did, he then replied, " Well sorry for doing my job and following company rules, I don't want to get fired now." I said really, your company requires you to make me wait while you take phone calls and bs with whom ever and he replied, YES!!! I just think the customer service is horrible and unacceptable. I did try calling the GM George 3 or more times and left messages at 18668183344 numerous times and no call back yet! This is just totally unacceptable customer service!!!! read more

Ordered a full head gasket kit on the phone before 12 pm so that I can get it by 3pm. The guy told me no problem it will be here at 3. The associate ordered the part from L.A. Warehouse and not the Gardena warehouse so it comes a day later. I call Sunday and I ask if it's in they say yes. They did not tell me I had to have the card I used to buy it on the phone in my possession when I came in to get it. I used my wife's card at the time so I had to go back home and get the part. One employee said all I needed was my identification and that is what I went to this location to get. Seems management can not train their employees right. read more
